She does, however, say Shikeiki (a yama, judge of the dead) is stronger than her. Probably a handful of other beings stronger than her as well.

She may not be the top of the food chain, but she's still very high on the list. So Kurama really has no chance against her whatsoever.

If the two societies ever interact...Tsunade will issue an SSS-class mission to retrieve or duplicate Ibuki Suika's gourd ;)

Just imagine if the two fought...god that would be an explosive battle.

But then afterwards they would become drinking partners. :snigger:

You know, Kurama in Gensokyo could make for an interesting fic by itself. Watching him interact with all those quirky characters would be hilarious. And just as soon as he's settled in and getting used to a peaceful life all hell breaks loose when Obito uses Kamui to break into Gensokyo and bring Akatsuki with him so he can retrieve Kurama and revive the Juubi. Yukari of course sleeps through all this or tells Kurama it's his fault and he should clean up his own mess.

Even better, Obito and rest of Akatsuki get their hands on some spell cards and Kurama, Reimu and Marisa have to defeat them in a series of proper danmaku battles.

There is Chapter 5 of Naruto's Tails, a fic wherein Kyuubi gets switched with Miles 'Tails' Prowers of all being, and the author does a one-off chapter showing Kurama in the Sonic world.

I don't think it would work. Gensokyo residents are horribly OP. Power to control fate or kill at will, really? Or power to induce maddness? Immortality (proper), etc...

Also, Danmaku isn't really that good to use in a real fight. The reason the system is in place in the first place is that true duels would wipe out a lot of people. Especially if the heavy hitters start going at it. So danmaku is a good game that lets them get the fighting out of their system without causing catastrophic damage.

All of that is kind of why I figured Obito would steal some spell cards and use the danmaku system to fight Gensokyo's defenders. He'd hardly be the first villain in the games to challenge the hero to a danmaku battle instead of a real fight. (Heck considering how many god-like beings obey the rules and how even ancient beings sealed away for millennia or foreigners coming from distant lands somehow still know of and obey them, I suspect they might be magically enforced within Gensokyo somehow.) Obito is smart enough not to go into Gensokyo blind, he'd stake the place out with Zetsu first so he'd be aware how ridiculously overpowered half the youkai inhabiting the world are. He'd also be aware they have a system of dueling using spell cards where strength and stamina don't matter - the winner of a danmaku battle is determined by elegance and thought. Even humans like Reimu can solve crisis' caused by god-like demons using danmaku duels, and even weak fairies like Cirno can become stage bosses in those same duels. Hell even Yukari has lost spell card duels several times before.

She lost the duels because she wasn't trying though. If she ever gets serious then she could wipe the floor with most people she fought.

And anyway, how would Obito actually manage to get to gensokyo anyway? I feel that unless Yukari is having a really off day she wouldn't even have to try to keep Obito from infiltrating the world.

Really, as far as safety is a concerned, Kurama is relatively safe from Akatsuki.

Yukari probably could break the contract of the Spell Cards and use her real powers if she wanted to, but it seems unlikely that she ever would since all my research on the internet and wikis show that there's a good bit of evidence that Yukari was the one who wrote those rules and instigated the danmaku battle system in the first place.

The Great Hakurei Barrier is surprisingly easy to penetrate. Like a dozen characters from the Touhou games were originally from the outside world and emigrated to Gensokyo. Several rabbit people from the moon have come to Gensokyo. Entire building (The Scarlet Devil Mansion among them) have been transported through the barrier from the outside world. Even regular humans somehow accidentally stumble into Gensokyo all the time and are placed in the human village for their own safety.

So yeah. Obito has extremely powerful time-space powers thanks to his various kekkei genkai and body grafts and he's pretty skilled at breaking through barriers. If regular people can accidentally walk through Gensoko's barrier than I think Obito could pull it off somehow.

[Edit] Also if Obito made it clear that he was only there to nab Kurama and had no intention of staying in Gensokyo or harming any of it's other residents unless they got in his way, then none of the really overpowered yokai would have any motivation to fight him. I mean yokai aren't exactly known for their altruism, why would they go out of their way to protect an outsider like Kurama from another outsider? So it would be up to Kurama and the designated heroines to defeat him.

Actually, The Danmaku system was created by Reimu if I recall correctly. Yukari was no stranger to war such as when she lead the earth youkai to attack the moon. (And let them get slaughtered to teach them humility). But yea, lots of people can wander into Gensokyo if they are lucky/unlucky enough or if they have enough power to force themselves in.

And just because Reimu is human doesn't mean that she's weak. She's the Hakurei Shrine Maiden and as such is powered by the Gensokyo barrier itself. And her power of flight gives her Obito's intangibility level of invulnerability except she can keep it on indefinitely and even attack while intangible. There's a reason Reimu doesn't abuse her ability but I can't recall it right now.

Really, Marisa is the one thats actually the closest to being a normal human in the setting. Everyone else has some kind of hax that make them ridiculous.

Ahri from League of Legends, because it was the first thing I thought of.
Obviously I can't link to it, but there's a Naruto x Ahri picture (artist name jujaswe) R34 picture that's just amazing

No idea how I completely forgot about her/him/it, but there's also Kyubimon, the Champion form of Renamon from Digimon.

Always Ninetales the Pokemon of course

Suggested before, and while not a 9-tailed fox (or even a foxgirl), Holo of Spice and Wolf I think would make an excellent trollerific Kyuubi
