Something that I had forgotten after seeing the end of Xros wars is that when the previous protagonists appeared, still young Taichi and Yamato fused Omegamon (on the movie, they were older). So what if after the whole mess was over, Taichi got the time to talk with the other guys and Daisuke ended up telling about things that Taichi didn't know about yet? How would that affect the events on the Adventure timeline?
It's a shame it's not translated, 'cause I'd really like to see stories based on the Xros Wars manga setting. It's a awesome attempt at reconciling all the previous Digimon seasons into a single continuity. I still believe it's fundamentally impossible, but damn, the guy's attempt was really, really nice.

Going with a similar sort of inspiration to Minus's idea: What if a situation in one of the worlds (Fits better with Adventure 02 as Taichi has a reason to remember it, even if Daisuke doesn't yet, or Runaway Locomon, as Takato and Guilmon could have very wel have come from before then) got registered as enough of a threat that Taiki, Yuu and Tagiru are asked to show up? Of course, the threat would need to be escelated appropriately, theres no way I can see anything less than Kimeramon being able to handle end of season Tagiru and Gumdramon, and thats not including Supirior Mode. having him fight Yuu would result similarly, and Taiki... well, need I say more?
So apparently Xros Wars manga has identified the being that "talked" through Hikari. It is called Homeostasis and after Yggdrasill went berserk and attacked the Human World this is the being that replaced it.
SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!
First off due to time craziness and Alternate Worlds in Digimon we could say that Adventure 01 took place after Digimon Savers. Interesting things could come of that.
Secondly, Yggdrassill was replaced, who did so, and how did they gain that kind of power? And are there any lasting consequences to "overthrowing God"? Maybe Homeostasis keeps Yggdrasill dormant, but that in turn could be hurting the Digital World as a whole.
I am sure others can think of plenty more. Here is one idea I had.
X Evolution took place in the distant past. After the Digital World was reformatted during that event and Yggdrasill's fall, the aforementioned God's remnant data was sealed away, and Homeostasis created by the remaining Royal Knights to take it's place.
However without Yggdrasill things have gone south. Homeostasis, while much more benevolent, lacks the power of it's predecessor allowing groups like the Four Holy Beasts and the Olympus Twelve to do whatever they want. The remaining Royal Knights have to balance their time between stopping them from gaining to much power and influence, upsetting the balance of the Digital World, and keeping all the nasties Yggdrasill locked away over the years, fearing that putting them in the Dark Area would be like throwing gasoline around in a munitions factory, such as Chronomon from breaking out. Also the seals put in place to make travel to and from the Dark Area have greatly weakened. Finally the "recycling system" that takes old scattered data and uses it to give birth to new Digimon has developed a bug that no one can fix, leading to the appearance of Apocalymon.
In short without Yggdrasill around everything is starting to go to hell in a handbasket. And then in the "Southern Quadrant" claimed as home by Zhuqiaomon signs that the D Reaper is waking up appear. This causes those who remember Yggdrasill's actions during the events of the X Incident to go "Oh, so that is why Yggdrasill behaved like that. The overpopulation threatened to awaken the Chaos which would then destroy everything! ..........Well fuck we screwed up quite a bit didn't we?" Cue mad scramble to find a way to resolve the incident.
In the ensuing chaos someone gets the bright idea to "wake up" Yggdrasill and ask for advice on the situation. Others find out and try to stop this course of action, fearing retribution from the former "God". In the confusion the seal keeping the data of the deceased deity is broken and caught up by the bugged "recycling system" it is reformatted. Mass panic ensues amongst the upper echelons of the Digital World's political strata.
Meanwhile a young boy filled with dreams has just bonded with a Digimon he created. Sensing a "familiarity" with the data that comprises this new Digimon Yggdrasill's new form appears before them. Unfortunately "she" does not remember much of her past and is quite confused. Fortunately Takato is a very nice person and is more then willing to help out this young girl Norn.
The basic idea here is that Guilmon was born from the data of the Dukemon from X Evolution who died over the intervening period leading to Adventure and Tamers. Norn senses something familiar about him and shows up in front of Takato and Guilmon shortly after their first meeting. Neither she nor her former knight have any memories of the other, just a vague sense that they know each other, which of course leads to much confusion for everyone, even when it is pointed out that Guilmon's data had to come from somewhere so why not from another Digimon that was not loaded when it was destroyed?
Now imagine the panic that would occur when Zhuqiaomon (and others) figure out who Norn is and that she is in close proximity to the physical forms of both the Catalyst and the Digital Hazard. It won't be just his Deva's coming to the Real World of the Southern Quadrant, especially since on close observation someone is very likely to realize just who Guilmon was.
The 7 Great Demon Lords use their power to tear open a portal and send forth Astamon and a cadre of other evil Digimon. Homeostasis sends the Journey to the West Digimon (barring the one Ultimate of the group), while others prepare their own forces to secure these three targets. Unfortunately due to the circumstances of Guilmon's "birth" Takato has caught the eye of some of the major players of the Digital World as they wonder just how the hell he was able to pull off reformatting a dead Royal Knight and give him a completely new evolutionary line.
Meanwhile a small purple furred dragon appears in one of the less noteworthy areas of the Digital World, unclaimed and nearly untouched by the power struggles of the factions vying for control. He senses that there is something he must do, and so Dorumon sets out to find the reason why he exists.
.......... Man inspiration really struck me there. Sorry if it is unpolished but it just came to me so I went with stream of thought there.
Please feel free to bring up any criticisms and corrections you might find.
Finally here is something that I have been kicking around for a bit due to the timey wimey wibbly wobbly nature of the Digital World, but this whole idea of Savers taking place before Adventure and by extension Tamers due to Ryo's presence brought it out.
Masaru is actually Ruki's father who in his wanderings found a way to Tamers Real World, he just headed back to the Digital World to try and find his way back to his "home earth", but with the intent of returning after informing his family of what is going on. Zhuqiaomon being a dick and rightfully fearing someone like Masaru then blocks any entry to the Southern Quadrant from Masaru's Digital World. Eventually however he finds his way back in time to see his "little girl" get involved in her own adventure with Digimon.
Now where do we go from here?

So I did some Google fu and it seems that he might be based off the Count of Monte Cristo. That's what it looks like to me anyways.

Idea: Jun Motomiya with amnesia winds up in the southern quadrant sometime around the beginning of Tamers. The timeline she comes from is about over a year after the defeat of belialvamdemon, how she wound up in the southern quadrant is the result of her getting caught up in a final attack by a evil digimon's attempt to bring the first two season chosen children down with it.The evil digimon was kidnapping chosen children from around world and subjugating them to horrific experiments in a attempt to create its' own crests. Jun who also got a partner sometime before is one of the one's kidnap, during her time being experimented upon she helps comfort alot of the younger children, but in the end she isn't able to help them, so when Davis and the others show up to rescue them, she is one of the few who has survived. During the battle to rescue her and the others her partner is permanently deleted.
The traumatic trip to the southern quadrant couple with the permanent deletion of her partner, the experiments, and being unable to help the children result in her having amnesia and a deep subconscious need to help others even if it means her death.
She winds up with a new partner during her travels, when the tamers come to the digital world to rescue culumon, she joins up with them when they meet. During the battle with Beelzemon she tries to stop him herself, but is batted away and knockedout for the rest of the battle. The only reason the D-reaper doesn't get her when they go to get culumon is because of her partner. She stays with one of the tamers when they get to the real world, since she isn't from this world. She helps them fight the D-reaper, after the final battle she along with Takato and Ruki are sucked into digital world, because of the state it's in they are flung into the eastern quadrant.
Because of the forced travel the border around the eastern quadrant is greatly weaken. Resulting in digimon from the dark ocean being able to force their way in. Jun must now contend with helping Takato and Ruki adapt and look for a way home, trying to fix the border and deal with dark ocean digimon with their help, and her memories coming back. During this Ryo is forced to wait for the link between the southern quadrant and its' real world to strength enough for travel between the two, before he can go help them.
The tamers did watch digimon, but it wasn't about the chosen children.

Me and Seiya, with some input from lightwave, sytang and Demjou, came up with an idea for a make believe series of 'Digimon: The Game' games.
Originally it was a gag about putting different series' games in other series and having the casts of those series play them.
Some of the ideas were lost because we forgot to save them, everything we did save I'm posting here at Seiya's request.
Hopefully if we can fill in some gaps we can give the concept it's own thread.

Allright I had the brilliant idea to go back through this thread and see what old ideas can be expanded upon.
I stopped at the first page due to "Sudden Inspiration".
On the first page Ryuugi brought up that a meeting between the Tamers and the more "idealistic groups" of 02 and Frontier would likely not end well due to the Tamers being more willing to resort to killing their enemies. Seiya said that was one of the things that anger him about 02, the veterans from 01 were suddenly adopting a "no killing" stance, at least until the Demon Corps showed up.
This has given me the idea for an interesting divergence. Daisuke and the rest when told in full about the Chosen Children's previous adventures are shocked that they actually killed Digimon in the past. Their more experienced comrades explain to them that sometimes it is necessary, and yes their previous enemies were in fact a hell of a lot worse then the Digimon Kaiser. He just wants to enslave Digimon. Several of the previous villains were known to try and often succeed in slaughtering their enemies. One must keep in mind that life in Vamdemon's territory must not have been nice, and there were likely plenty of "examples" made to keep down resistance. And Piedmon, well Piedmon was a fucking psychotic monster who led the destruction of Primary Village, ensuring that no new Digimon could be born, and old ones could never reincarnate. And he had three other Ultimates, and four separate armies who went along with this.
So yes there are truly "Evil with a Capitol E" Digimon in existence. While the Dark Masters and their "kin" Devimon, Etemon, and Vademon were explicitly stated to have come into being due to Apocalymon's influence it is likely that not every Digimon serving them was a result of the "Source of Evil's" influence.
Tailmon can likely list of the top of her head at least half a dozen Digimon who served under Vamdemon not out of fear, but desire for greater power and standing through moving up the ranks of his army.
This would certainly shake up the New Chosen, as well as the International Chosen once they here just how horrible many of the Big Bad's were.
Which leads to interesting divergences. Daisuke and the others when confronted with Chimeramon will be forced to accept that their "elders" were correct, some Digimon just like some Humans are just evil either through circumstances shaping them or seemingly simply because they choose to be. After Ken looses control of Chimeramon this will become evident to them. As such they would likely be more willing to do whatever it takes to stop Arachnemon and Mummymon, who they will come to see as a truly terrible threat, as they seem poised to take up the roles left vacant by Vamdemon and the Dark Masters. Afterall those villains were able to gather a strong following through demonstrating their power, it is possible these to will as well.
But it is likely they will hesitate at first leading to friction in the group if their actions lead to their enemies escaping. Trying to deal with these emotions as well as the seeming "pressure" to do what is necessary could make things difficult, and even prevent Miyako and Iori from being able to Jogress their Partners with Hikari and Takeru. This will of course cause "complications" given what is going on in the background.
Another idea I have had on the backburner that could go with this one as well is dealing with the fact that in 02 sometimes Digital Gates just open and can be used without D-3's. Mimi and more importantly Michael were able to travel to the Digital World because of this. Introducing the International Chosen into the mix early on would already be grounds for a story, but throw in the fact that some will likely disprove of the "Crestbearers" ruthlessness in dealing with enemies in the past and you have a whole other ballgame.
There are all kinds of ways this could go.
One more thing. (Everytime I hear this phrase I can't help but imagine it in Uncle's voice)
Why do we not have more stories dealing with the fallout of Tailmon once being Vamdemon's lieutenant? Even if she helped save the world(s) any Digimon remaining who were victimized by Vamdemon would still be hesitant to trust her, despite hearing how bad her situation was. Add in one or more of them as a partner to an International Chosen, especially one who has come to dislike the Original Eight base on their reputation of "killing" Digimon and you have another angle to look at in this story.
In essence I want to adress the "idealism" of 02 with the hard truths and difficult decisions made by the Chosen Children in 01, and explore how that effects the Original Eight's interactions with their fellow Chosen Children who universally have never had to face anything nearly as bad as they did. Barring Ken of course, but due to Timey Whimey Shenanigans, and likely the 4 Holy Beasts being dicks nobody seems to remember that in the Anime. Ken get's off because of the Dark Spore messing with his mind, whereas everyone else in the Digital World and the Original Eight should have said "HOLY SHIT, IT'S A DAMNED CHIMERAMON! FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY PLEASE GOD DO NOT LET THIS GO AS BADLY AS THE LAST TIME ONE OF THOSE SHOWED UP!" the moment that abomination showed up.
