So three bits of news.

igitize seems like she is going to be a recurring character in the videogames, partnered with the Royal Knight Ulforcevdramon.
Same goes for Mirei from the original version of that game. Her Partners Angewomon and Ladydevimon now Jogress into a new Ultimate(Mega) Mastemon. Mastema is an alternate name for Old Testament Satan when he was still a servant of God, tempting mankind in the creators name, and not an enemy of Heaven.
And we have a size comparison for Taichi and Agumon in the new series, and damn is Agumon tiny.

The Eater program was created by the scientist Akemi Suedo; based on Yuuko's younger brother, Yuugo. However, the Eater managed to enter the Digital World and infested the host/Mother computer,Yggdrasill; Transforming it into the Mother Eater. With Yggdrasill being corrupted, the Digital World became a hostile place for the Digimon Inhabitants.
The Y-7D6 (the white robots we saw in Savers, for example) are actually avatars of the Original. That is to say, they are remote terminals that fulfill the will of Host/Mother Computer, and although they are connected with it, they are not Yggdrasills, they are only extensions of said original. Since the Original was infected, the Y-7D6s went berserk, and therefore causing havoc across parallel worlds (Digimon Chronicles, Digimon Savers, Digimon World: Redigitize/Decode, etc.).Kinda like referencing Brave Tamer with ENIAC/ABC
As the Digital World came other Mother Eater's control, the digimon were forced to migrate to the Human created Cyberspace EDEN. The Royal Knights tried to reason with Yggdrasill, but it was impossible due to the infestation; So they desperately tried to create a new Digital World, using the Real World as a base(the famous Paradise Lost Project lead by Duftmon and Lord Knightmon) while others (led by Omegamon) opposed and this lead to conflict.
Also, Kyoko is Alphamon and Rie is LordKnightmon. They are females in their digimon form, too, keeping their female VAs

We don't know why the 02 kids are not featured.
But given the previous trailer had "this is the world and future that should not have been chosen" in it people are thinking Time Shenanigan's might be involved.
Given that Millenniumon was basically responsible for setting the events of Adventure 01 and 02 in motion through blatant Paradox Defying Bullshit this is actually not that far fetched.
