Digimon Digimon Section?

This is not a thread asking for a Digimon section to be made, it is a thread asking if anyone wants a Digimon Section.

If I get thirty votes I'll make a thread in Suggestions asking for one and link it. 50% redundancy.

If not I'll go with Plan A. I'm going with Plan C first because if it works there's no point putting in all the effort for Plan A.

If a moderator or admin disagrees with this feel free to say so or delete the thread and pm me not to do it again.

In which case, Plan A.

EDIT: Since it would be unreasonable to expect people to send Wata a pm just to change their vote back to a Yes, I'm just gonna have the first two 'No' votes count as two 'Yes' votes and save it in the first post in case of future 'No' Votes.

EDIT2: Well that fixes that. The joke was destroyed, but otherwise it's fixed.

I asked Hawk if we could have one on the old forum 2 or so years ago, since the criteria there was apparently just thread count and Digimon had more threads then the last two that got new sections, but his response was basically No.

Before that there was a vote to see who had to ask him and I lost (which is why I made that thread), so since we got a new forum and new administration I think it's only fair to try what I was voted to do again.

Guess this is as good a place to ask as any.

I got a PM noting that someone wanted to open up a Pokémon section. The PM went on to suggest that we try merging that stuff with the Digimon area.

I'm VERY skeptical about this working out, but promised that I would try advertising the idea around. Thoughts?

I'm highly skeptical that would work as well. This isn't like the Love Hina/Negima or Nasu stuff, as despite the similar use of the 'mon' naming convention and use of random critters the series in general have nothing to do with each other. Granted they span multiple media forms (Some being better than others certainly) but ramming the two together really doesn't seem like it'll work even slightly.

Yeah, there's no similarity other then the basic Mon Concept.

They're the same Genre and that's it.

If they want a Pokemon section then they should go about making one.

The burden of use is on the section itself.

That's why I outlined those plans in the State of the Forum Thread. They are easy to modify, and if the forum has enough people who care, getting a section and making it run wouldn't be overly difficult.

The Digimon section is doing decently fine, considering it's May, and thus Test season.

I'm just glad I was able to get it up right before May got started.

If we can keep it decently alive in May it should be fine the rest of the year.

I and Seiya had several ideas I'm currently not spamming the forums with to keep some content in the wings...

And because I'm just to lazy to dig through all my notes and touch it up to post here unless I need to.

Though since Seiya's sick and only really has her phone I guess I'm kind of on my own on that front.
