~Story~


An ordinary ride on a train takes a sudden turn for the strange when you find yourself contacted by a voice you've never heard before. It says to you the world it resides in has become corrupted, and tries to convince you to agree to help put it back to the way it was. Once you agree, either for not taking it seriously, earnestly wanting to help, just being that bored, or whatever your reason, a connection is made.

Suddenly the people that have previously been around you vanish, the landscape brushing past the window looks much more different than you remember, and the thing the voice had been speaking to you through has no become a strange device you now hold tightly in your hands. It's not long before the transport finally comes to a stop, you find yourself in a strange new world, one you can tell that at one point had been vibrant and full of life, only the area around you is now dying as if it truly has been corrupted.

Soon you learn that something called the Dark Ocean has started to breach into this place, the Digital World, and has begun corrupting it, tainting the once vibrant landscape with darkness. The magnificent creatures that reside here are now becoming tainted as well, as once peaceful denizens of the would could now turn on one they've been friends with for ages with seemingly no cause. And now you and a few others are the only one posed to stop this corruption.

You have to find a partner and forge a powerful bond together to bring a stop to this, before it destroys the entire digital world. For if it does manage to take over this world, stopping it could become impossible as it moves on towards more worlds to take as its own. Including yours.

The digivice this time around, allowing for digivolution based on a Synchronization Rate between the tamer and partner, a power raised with increasingly unified mindsets and emotions as the growing trust between them during battles. Upon reaching 50% Synchro Level you may proceed to the Adult level, and upon reaching 100% after the D-Synchro has been upgraded with an alter, Perfect can be accessed. However sustaining higher level states require increasing larger amounts of energy from both partner and tamer, and once a tamer can no longer sustain the digivolution he will lose consciousness and the partner will revert to child level. The cost is mitigated via alter upgrades and absorbing corrupted digimon, but the cost of this is more than it appears.

A Group of Humans just summoned into the Digital world and brought forth to meet their partners, and are now tasked with casting away the darkness that has engulfed the digital world. However their Digivices are currently far weaker than they should be, and they are forced to find a way to increase their potential before it's too late and they are completely overwhelmed by the forces of evil.

~Dark Tamers~


Tamers called forth by the powers of darkness and rallying under Pride to allow the Dark Ocean to engulf the digital world for their own specific reasons. With the power to control the Corrupted digimon even from a distance, they have quickly thrown the digital world into complete disarray. Each answers to the ever mysterious Pride, and have the capability to use specific dark functions with their dark Digivices to aid themselves in either battle or escape.

~Beasts of Virtue~


Four Humans and their partners designated as the Cardinal Virtues and Seven Digimon Champions blessed with powers equivalent to the Tamer's Mods to stand up against the dark forces threatening the world. Sadly in the final confrontation before the Dark Ocean broke through they were severely weakened to the point of adult level, and their leader BanchoLeomon died while holding back an extremely powerful enemy from breaking through and decimating the entire group, leaving the current Justice without a partner. Though they've been reduced in power thanks to that final confrontation, the gifts they were granted slowly are allowing them to stand up again against the forces of darkness.

~Additional Notes~


The First Part of the story, to be started in a couple of days, will detain the characters getting contacted in a manner similar to the above, accepting, and being brought into the digital world where the first event will start relatively quickly that will bring the entire Tamers group together relatively fast. Dark Tamers, all one of you currently, will be dealt with following that, establishing a little on what you're going to do before the groups inevitably clash. This thread will be used for comments about the story, questions, concerns, requests, or indeed ideas you want to bring up.

Current evolution order for the tamers is already decided and set into motion, with Lightning having the first reaching of Adult in the first planned event to be followed by Water, then Wood, then Light, then so on and so forth. Feel free to discuss anything now, particularly the new added mod and the new recharge time rations added in the other thread linked above.

Keep in mind that while you are allowed whatever naming and conventions you choose to utilize for your partner, digivolution sequence, and attacks so long as you are consistent about them, majority vote has gone to Sub conventions being used for more conventional terms, ie: Evolution line is referred to as Child->Adult->Perfect->Ultimate.

As people kept asking, and no one got it when I tried to explain, posting the closest play by play of the chess game I can rememeber, Lightwave and NGD can correct me if I fuck something up.

This is non canon as shit.

First move was Lightning to a Black Pawn, Lightning Won.

Second move was Water to Unknown Piece, Water Won.

Third Move was Wood to Unknown Piece, Wood Won.

Fourth Move was Light to Unknown Piece...
And then the shit started.
Light was trapped in a plot hole, as the battle was listed as 'conclusion unknown'.

I sent Dark to Reinforce Light, got back the same result and decided to leave that there for the time being as Latewave pulled out three red pieces, a Knight, a Bishop and a Rook.

I sent Earth, Wind and Fire forward, not particularly attacking anything, I think Latewave passed then.

After talking to Sytang about his Steel Piece, I moved Earth Wind and Fire to attack Red Knight, and sent Steel to flank, then Red Knight became a Bishop.

I immediately sent Wood and Lightning to Reinforce Earth, Wind, Fire and Steel, turns out, the Red Knight now Bishop was guarding the Wood Altar, so Wood Evolved to a Rook and Won the battle.

Then lightwave had Wood use Dark Soul, so I had Ice move in to quell him and had Lightning help as he was right next to him.

Game Paused.

Game Unpaused.

Anyway with Wood pacified NGD took over for lightwave.

Afterwords is spoilers, but basically a strong Adult with a squad of weak ones verses everyone of us, as I had everyone at the Wood Altar go to Reinforce Light and Dark.

Then a Perfect showed up, and Wood didn't have enough energy after going Perfect for the first time then using Dark Soul to go Perfect again, so we were kinda fucked.

I sent Fire and Lightning to kill the Strong Adult, as it was in charge, Wind, Water and Ice to clear out the weaker Adults, while Light distracted the Perfect.

After Fire and Lightning killed the Strong Adult I had Steel Flank and backstab the Perfect, Super Effective, When Water Wind and Ice finished with the mob, I reinforced them with Earth and had them clear out all the Digmon in the area, as the Perfect was absorbing them to heal itself, I then Had Fire and Lightning spend the rest of that getting ready to help Light and Steel next turn.

With the coming reinforcements and the reserves it was using to heal itself gone, the Perfect took to the sky... But seven of us could fly to, and we followed it into the sky, Overwhelmed against the numerous opposition, it fled.

End Game.

Game Key:
Weak Adults with Child minions are Pawn's, decent Adult's are Knights, Perfect are either Bishop's or Rook's, Ultimate's are Queen's.

A piece represent's the combined forces of that Character.

So if I move Saishu Seigi to attack, Coronamon is with him by default, and if the enemy is a Pawn composed of a Troopmon and a few Child level minions, it's still just one Pawn.

First Event:

Tamers-Set up your character getting contacted however you want and ultimatly end up in the digital world in at least your first post. Continuing from there we have a kidnapping situation as detailed in the original thread:

First planned event involves you and the rest of the hero group joining a group of digimon stopping another corrupted group from taking a different captured group to a now dark zone in order to corrupt them as well. Your partnership can be forged with a digimon who will be part of either the group attacking the corrupted group, the captured digimon, or if you have an adequate purify mod, even one of the corrupted group we're fighting against. The corrupted group will include mainly rookies and several Troopmon to deal with. All other digimon of consequence will be a rookie.

Dark Tamers-As discussed in the info packet, you're in control of the enemies this time, so your fist post is setting up sending them off to do the deed as well as any interaction you like. Especially if Daneel and Epsilon are starting together, though that's ultimately up to you two. The others are secret right now so not exactly valid just yet, but that will change soon.

BoV: You my bitches now. As there are none of you. D:

Due to my stupidity, I was not aware that TerraBull is not actually going to be here for likely a while, meaning starting this was pretty stupid on my end. As such, on the Tamer's side we will continue on from this point without Ice with only the 9 present, and she will be written in based on parameters as best we can fit later down the line, the most obvious of which being just wondering around. Most likely we won't get to the point in which she shows up till a bit later anyway so there should be plenty of time.
