annoying a- Wait cosplay what?

I looked down at myself-

"What the shit!?" I exclaimed as I reached down to pull the loose pristine white shirt up where I could see it more clearly.

"Where the hell did these come from?!" And where did I get all this Jewelry?

I took the Earrings off immediately, because FUCK NO. My ear's aren't even pierced! Wait, these things are clip on... Really? You deck me out in ridiculous clothes and get clip on Earrings?

*Rage has been successfully averted! The Buck has been passed.*

I started picking at the weird amulet thing around my neck, the metal felt real and the gem didn't feel like plastic...

I squeezed one of the dinky edge's... Yeah it bent, no tearing of any paint...

This might be real silver, if it was the steel it looks like it wouldn't have bent that easy, and it doesn't smell like iron.

Don't know about these gems though.

Are these clothes silk? Feels like it.

This is a tad to expensive looking for me, and these pants are so out of date...

Oh good, my shoes still look the same, even if they're solid white now, I don't think I could have taken being stranded with shoes as old as these pants, in fact they look like they've been cleaned...

This place is weird as hell.

I noticed another amulet hanging off to the right.

*Eyetwitch* Is that Gold?

"Oy, Dinosaur boy, you should more than likely introduce yourself. Might end some of this. Heh. Stick Boy and the other half of the Cosplay Duo should introduce themselves as well."

Shin couldnÆt help but be a little taken aback by the boldness of the boy who had said his name was Ryan. Oh sure you might see stuff like that from some anime and manga otaku from time to time, but more often than not that could be attributed them trying to emulate the Shonen heroes that were so popular these days. Whereas that was often false bravado that more often than not crumbled upon any real resistance, this felt totally sincere if a bit funny to hear from somebody not acting.

Looking at the group that had assembled since he had introduced himself initially he decided that he would introduce himself again and maybe take a page out of RyanÆs book.

ôHello, my name is Shin, Shin Takanawaö As he said this he brought his broom handle down in front of him. ôAnd this is my beat stick.ö

TK blinked as he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly fighting back a grin.

Shaking his head to clear it, TK turned towards the group taking in a deep breath and releasing it slowly.

"My name...is Takeru Raitei, but please...call me Tk." Tk said as he bowed slightly to the group before gesturing to Monodramon who stood at his side. "This is my partner, Monodramon."

"Umm....hi...." Monodramon said as he looked at the group with a bit of a frightend look on his face. "It's nice to meet you all."

Tk smiled softly at his partner reaching over and gently rubbing his head.

"So...who are you other guys?" Tk said as he looked over the other people at the station besides Shin and Ryan.

Kaji, having grown fed up with the interruptions, knocked on the side of the bus slightly louder than he intended.

"We can do the introductions in here." He said, voice dripping with annoyance as he held up the zoomed out map on the device again. "There are still two people possibly walking right into danger remember?"

Eyes drifting to the newcomer TK and the reptile he'd brought with him, Kaji was reminded of what the demonic creature had been talking about. 'A partner...?' He thought. 'I suppose that would put things more in our favor, though he's a tad small compared to that thing earlier.'

The boy pushed the thought aside as he wrenched the door to the bus open. "You especially." He called over his shoulder to the last one to arrive. "Let's try to pool what we know on the way. Preferably before the other two meet up with whatever those black ones are."

Ryan walks on his bus and takes the Driver's seat.

"All Aboard that's coming aboard and don't touch my groceries."

Tk nodded his head as he quickly hopped onto the bus and grabbing a seat near the front, his partner Monodramon sitting next to him watching the other people climb onto the bus as well.

"Tk...What did...umm.....Ryan, was it, call this thing again?" Monodramon asked curiously as he stared at the bus with a curious eye and a childish glee at the new item he's ever seen.

"It's called a bus, Monodramon. And yes...his name is Ryan." Tk watched the others cautiously. Tk eyed the food warily quickly realizing that he had no food himself and was beginning to wonder how he would feed Monodramon and himself since neither had food on them. "Now Monodramon....I want you to apologize to the young lady ok? You don't go jumping on people like that....unless they're attacking you."

Monodramon looked down sadly before nodding his head.

Getting to his feet and making his way to the skimpy cosplaying girl. "I'm...I'm sorry about pouncing on you....I didn't realize that you were good. I...just wanted to protect Tk...I really do apologize for scaring you like that." Monodramon said apologeticly.

Cosplay Duo?

Hachi frowned. It wasn't like she chose this terrible outfit. All it seemed to do was attract monsters. Saishu looked at himself and seemed startled at his choice of clothing. Hachi was surprised that it took him so long to notice.

The other boys introduced themselves in quick succession. Hachi was about to say a quick intro herself, "I'm H-"

"We can do the introductions in here," Kaji interrupted, gesturing to the bus that gaijin Ryan was driving. "There are still two people possibly walking right into danger remember?"

Hachi did forget. She made a quick prayer that one of the remaining two was a girl as everyone started to file in to the bus. She quickly went to get a seat in the back.

The strange creature that pounced on her, interrupted her goal. "I'm...I'm sorry about pouncing on you....I didn't realize that you were good. I...just wanted to protect Tk...I really do apologize for scaring you like that."

She nodded meekly, still petrified before sitting down.

"Hey girlie," The Gaijin driving the bus shouted as soon as she sat down. "What's wrong parents never teach you to introduce yourselves?"

"It's Hoshino," She squeaked, her cheeks bright red with embarrassment. She sunk deeper into her seat, "Hoshino Hachi."

Jackass is right, Kaji, I can deal with this weird puzzle shit and random people later.

I moved past... Kaji, and went to the back of the bus, I could use the conjoined seat to rest my back for a bit.

There might be people in trouble.

I don't have time for pain.

Before Sho could ask anymore questions, a rock suddenly struck Trailmon in the side.

"Ow, watch it. Leave me out of your little squabbles", said Trailmon before he took off.

"Ah- wait!", cried Sho as he reached out, but it was a pointless action, the Trailmon was already gone.

"Well, so much for finding more answers."

Sho sighed, feeling a bit depressed.

"Hmm, what should I do now? I should probably go with these people, but then again, they don't exactly seem... well adjusted?"

He mulled over his thoughts as he watched the foreigner scream about wizards and whatnot.

"I wonder how much danger I would be in if I went off alone... if this place is anything like the Digital World in the show, doing that would be a bad idea. But that's a TV show, and this is reality right? Or did we get sucked into a game? Man, this is confusing..."

Before Sho could continue his musings, a purple-lizard-thing jumped onto the female cosplayer. Thinking quickly, Sho pointed his Digivice towards the Lizard.

"Hmm, Monodramon, Child-level, Vaccine-Type. A Small Dragon type Digimon. Special Attacks are: Beat Knuckle, and Crack Bite", muttered Sho as he noticed the appearence of what appeared to be Monodramon's partner.

"So they're partners, just like in the show... this is kind of- wait! Does this mean I'm getting a Digimon partner too?!"

Sho's expression shifted to once of excitement for a moment.

"No wait, if that happened, then it would mean I would be stuck here until I saved the world or something..."

Once again looking at the ruins around him, Sho decided that staying in this place would be bad for him. If the Digimon were anything like the ones in the show, then he could end up seriously injured, or worse, dead! Yet at the same time, he couldn't get that strange feeling of excitement out of his chest.

Sho continued to observe the other people there in silence. It seems like they were introducing themselves at the moment.

"Let's see, brown haired kid that looks around my age is Kaji, male cosplayer is Saishu, guy with the bus is Ryan, guy with the stick is Shin, Monodramon's partner is Takeru. Hmm, it seems that Kaji wants everyone to move into the bus, but is it really safe?"

Sho stared at Ryan, the person who was going to be driving and was yelling about the Wizard of Oz just moments ago.

"It doesn't seem like I have much of a choice," noted Sho as he watched the other people enter the bus.

Sho followed them at a sedate pace, he entered the bus just in time to hear the female cosplayer introduce herself as Hoshino Hachi.

"Still doing introductions huh? Well in that case..."

"My name's Sho," said Sho as he strode past the driver.

Tk smiled as he watched Monodramon walk over to Hachi and bow to her apologizing for his actions earlier.

'I guess I can't blame him....I was the only human he's ever meet before we met the others...I hope that she forgives him...' Tk thought to himself as he turned back to the front just in time to watch a new person join the bus.

'Sho, huh? ...I wonder how well this'll all go...' Tk thought as he pulled out his Digivice and turning it on, flipping through the various random screens that popped up before stopping on a blank map that 'ping'ed every so often showing a group of white dots all gathered in one place, but 2 black dots moving around the outer edge of the map. 'Huh? More people? ...I wonder who they could be?'

"Hey Ryan....take a look at this...we got more people on the map, but...they're different colored this time..." Tk said as he leaned forward showing the map on his Digivice to Ryan. "What do you think?"

There was not really much Suzuka could do while her troops collected all potential new troops, so...

"Zoom in....zoom out...zoom in...zoom out..."

She toyed around with the radar function of her black and violet D-Synchro, drawing her head closer and further from the screen accordingly.

Yes, it looked as stupid as it sounds.

"Zoom in...zoom out...wait." She blinked. "White dots. Those are new."

She did not like surprises. She had quickly learned that, in this world, surprises are more often than not out to kill you.

"Hmm...decisions, decisions..."

"What do I think? Is simple. Black is the opposite of white so I'm going to say that it's not good for us. On another note, since everyone's on it's time to go. Everyone hold on."

Ryan adjusts his glasses and begins to drive.

Suzuka wasn't the only Dark Tamer to notice the arrival of potential new challengers.

The moment when Kyo saw those white blips on his own D-Synchro, he pondered on what to do. The urge to show them the difference in abilities did flare up but if there was one thing that damned idol girl had taught him...

Oh, Gods... he was actually learning stuff from her. How disgusting.

But in any case, Kyouya had to adjust to the fact that as nice as getting perfect dominating victories would be, those type of scenarios would only apply if he had all the pieces and all the cards. And right now, that was far from the case.

If anything, it was that being... Pride who had everything.

'And here I am, dancing to his tune...' Kyouya had to break free from both Pride and that damn idol somehow. But how can he go about doing that?

Dammit, why do things have to be so complicated?

And speaking of complicated, he was certain that the idol would be bugging him to do something about those white dots any minute now...

As the bus started moving Shin took the time to look around him and take in what had happened and what was happening at that particular moment. This day had started off so well he had eaten his favorite breakfast, done well on an important test and had done decently in the card game tourney he had taken part in right before he had been dragged God knows where. Saying a small prayer for peace and serenity in what he was going to do next Shin started thinking up some questions .

After a little bit He looked at the group and said,

ô Now that all or most of us have introduced ourselves I think it is time to ask the important questions, Namely"

1. Where are we?

2. How did we get here?

3. Why were we brought here?

4. How do we get back?

5. What are these things? (indicating the d-synchroÆs)

6. What is that thing? (indicating the creature that had been identified as monodramon.)

Sho turned to look at Shin as Shin listed out his questions.

"Well, at least someone is taking the situation seriously... somewhat."

"According to the Trailmon I spoke to earlier, we're in the Digital World," said Sho, he decided if he was going to stick with these people, he might as well share what he knew.

"I don't know if it's the same one from the Digimon TV show or not. Or even if it bears any similarities to it aside from the Digimon," Sho continued as he gestured towards Monodramon. "I would have asked more questions, but a rock hit Trailmon and it took off before I could ask any more questions..."

"Say, who threw that rock anyway?"

Tk sighed softly as he sits back going back to the map his Digivice displayed.

"So....Where we goin' Ryan-san?" Tk said quietly as he turned to look out the window watching the city stroll by. "I just hope that nothing can go..."

"DON'T! FINISH! THAT SENTENCE!" Monodramon yelled as he tried to cover Tk's mouth with his hands "Nothing good EVER comes out of saying that..."

"Gotcha...Gotcha..." Tk said as he sighed softly before turning in his seat to face both Shin and Sho. "I don't know about the rest of you got here, but...I came here by train. I had answered a text asking me if I wanted to save the world...and me hoping to change my life said yes...next thing I know...I'm alone on the train heading towards the train station. ....Did you guys get the same thing?

Why we're here...I have no friggen' clue...but to get back? Same answer..." Tk said as he watched the group.

I kept my back straight as a lid down on the back most seat, as it was the only one with enough room to lay on, the pain was dulling some, and I could deal with the migraine.

"For me? We're in a bus, in what is apparently called the Digital World. I took a Train. I answered a phone call. Presumably by train, or Trailmon if I heard right. Mine is my Cell Phone and that's a purple lizard." I finished sarcastically.

"Respectively." I added a moment later.

ôHmmàö

A few seconds ago, she was stupidly playing with the D-Synchro. Right now, however, she was thinking.

Calculating, extrapolating, evaluating as many possibilities as her brain could conceive. It was a challenging task: to be as thorough in her evaluation of the situation as she could in the short time available to make a decision.

But, she guess, that was how war worked, wasnÆt it?

Fiddling with the Digivice one more time, she initiated the messaging feature. Light projected itself out of the device, portraying in image resembling a very flat keyboard. She slid the fingers of her free hand over the squares representing letters, rapidly assembling a message.

"Dear Shiro-chan,

It began.

How are you today? I woke up today and did not find you. Allow me to say that, as a woman, I cannot approve of such an irresponsible attitude. You could have at least left a message, you know?

Anyone would think she was not in a hurry.

I am currently carrying out the last operation in Daimachi as decided yesterday. Can I ask you to assist my troops and help them getting things done faster? Thank you!

IÆll send Coredramon to check on the white dots and let you know what they are about.

She automatically assumed Kyouya was already aware of the white dotsùshe expected at least that much from her minion.

Suzuka thus smoothly forgot the fact that she found the white dots entirely by luck.

Just worry about getting me my new troops; you know ladies love getting presents, donÆt you?

Hugs and kisses,

Your lovely angel, Suzuka-tan
(heart)."

Yes, SuzukaÆs keyboard actually has a button for heart marks.

ôSuzuka-sama,ö Coredramon spoke.

Some hundred meters away, a group of two KoKabuterimon and a single Hagurumon approached, escorting six Digimon: two Elecmon, threeGazimon and a Commandramon. All six had black gears lodged somewhere on their bodies, and walked ahead of her units, completely dominated and answering to the HagurumonÆs instructions.

ôWonderful,ö she declared, and she did look pleased at the sight. ôCoredramon,ö she continued, showing her partner the white dots on the map displayed by her Digivice. ôThere used to be several small white dots clustered together; now they have become a single big one. I want you to go there and show me what this thing is. Fly high and stay out of trouble; if youÆre attacked you get back here immediately. Understood?ö

ôYes, Suzuka-sama.ö

She did not bother follow CoredramonÆs departing form with her eyes. She would soon watch over him from the Digivice, looking at the world through his eyesùyet another of the many useful functions of the machine in her right hand. Before that, howeverà

ôI wonder how my heavy infantry is doingàö she wondered out loud as she checked on her Minotaurmon.

Kaji leaned back in the seat, putting every effort in ignoring the stunningly loud car sounds he'd normally have blocked out. He shot a glare back down at the device he'd been left with.

Absolutely none of the people around him seemed to have comprehended what he'd meant by sharing information. Well none save the one called Shin anyway. He was the only one who'd actually managed to bring them to the core issues that had been raised. And yet none of the group that had been with him when that little creature came had even thought to bring up anything it had said. He sighed lightly, shooting a glance at the purple thing, Monodramon he'd said it was called.

'Then again with this thing I probably could have learned that myself.' His eyes lingered on the creature a moment before he finally closed them, relaxing on the seat as he tried to block out the bus noises again. 'Are they one of a kind or do they all just have names like that...'

The lingering feeling of eyes falling on him seemed to last a few moments before they must have realized he wasn't going to voice much more than he already had. Kaji decided to trust one of the others to note that something of what the little vampire monster had said might prove useful, particularly if it would lead them to their supposed partners.

'Partner...' The word echoed in his thoughts a few moments as they thoughts drifted to the reptile again. He honestly wasn't expecting much for whatever he ended up with, and he wasn't particularly clear on what the notion entailed anyway. 'Whatever's fine as long as I can get to the end of this game.'

Eye's opening blearily at the light shining through the window beside him, Kaji allowed them to drift back down at the sonar on the device. The two whites were a lot closer now. Would probably only take another minute or two before they could actually see them, which meant the distance on the sonar wasn't particularly far even when zoomed out. However now a number of red indicators could be seen among the large black force the two whites were heading for.

"Only a truly desperate and stupid Digimon would want to be shackled up with some human." The bizzare creature's menacing grin widened. "Like those poor survivors up north a ways who got captured by the Dark Chosen's minions. Getting all caged up and prepared to be taken to the sea to be eaten once one of them shows up to upload them. I'd bet they'd take any chance to escape if someone came to save them."

"Then again it's probably smarter to just let them die. After all, every mon for himself."

Kaji's face darkened slightly as he allowed himself to lean back, resting his palm on his forehead. A single memory played in his mind as his annoyance rose. "One person cannot determine the value of a someone's life."

The hand slid down his face before he leaned forward again. "Ha... what a pain."

Just as his eyes drifted, he barely caught it. A single flash of a new color appeared, before vanishing an instant later. Kaji's mind snapped to attention as he focused on the device again, but the moment had past and the new color was gone, having apparently streaked across the entire range before he could properly notice it.

'This just gets more and more complex.' The boy thought, annoyed as he fiddled with the device again as he tried to decide whether to be relived it hadn't been green, or alarmed that it was another factor he didn't know. 'What the hell could purple mean?'

Naturally before he could properly consider the new factor added to the mess they'd found themselves in, a new problem arose. A black dot had broke off from the group and was heading straight for them.

Kaji scanned the horizon, noticing nothing a nice outcropping not too far. He got up and moved briskly to their designated 'driver', Ryan if he recalled.

"Turn in there, something's coming after us." He said, pointing at the set of ruined, but still standing buildings. A large foreboding opening, just wide enough for the bus to fit through stood under an overhang. 'It probably would be the first place to look for from the ground, but given the speed the thing was heading for us at, it's was probably a flier, so it would probably completely miss it.'

The bus suddenly swerved much sharper than Kaji would have liked as Ryan accelerated, a glint in his eye as he aimed the bus right into the opening.

Of course just before they crossed a sudden thought struck. 'Wait, if that thing is tracking us by a similar sonar, then would being in a building even help? Alarmed, Kaji just barely opened his mouth to yell out a warning to turn, before the bus rushed into the opening.

And then a after a few moments of the bus decelerating in total blackness, the sonar on the device went dark as well.

"The hell?" He heard someone mutter, probably the rowdier of the two cosplayers. "The map thing stopped working."

A sudden crash sounded at the front of the bus, as some kind of purple boy-wolf thing stood on the front of the bus. Kaji turned down to the device, expecting some kind of data to pop up, but it remained completely void of anything save static.

"Scanners and databases won't work roughly within the area of this building." The thing said, seemingly relieved once as it glanced through their devices one by one.

'I guess we're not the only one with these.'

"And why not?" Someone quipped from the back.

The thing gave a menacing grin. "That's thanks to that little thing." It said, pointing down to a piece of black metal sitting in the middle of the floor. Around it stood several more varied monsters, including several slime looking things hiding behind a little orange beast with a flame on its head that stood glaring at them.

"So much for them all being unique." Kaji muttered. Under the gaze of the creatures each of them shambled out of the bus.

"Now what are a group of humans like you doing in a place like this?" The purple monster asked after they'd all managed to shamble out.

"A few people who had a similar signal to us appeared on the radar not too far from here, heading for some black ones." Shin said.

"Also we heard from another creature like you that a group of you had been captured by those things. We'd hope to rescue them before that guy suddenly made us turn in here."

'Well it's about time someone mentioned what we'd learned from that thing.' He thought as the cosplayer finished.

"You wanted to rescue them?" The purple thing said, giving them a confused look a moment before wider grin appeared on its face. "What a coincidence. So did we."

The smile it gave them became outright menacing as more creatures stepped out from the shadows and into the light of the orange creature's flame.

~*~

"You do realize it's a miracle you didn't crash into anything do you?" The creature grumbled as laid it's rocky palms onto the surface of the ground. Steadily the vibrations echoing on the earth began to resonate with him.

"Now now, old chum, you know as well as I do that my reactions even when enhancing my already potent speed allow me to easily keep up with something as simple as a jog through the old city." His companion's expression dimmed somewhat as he looked at the state the city had be left in, before forcing it back. "And it's not like we're on the wrong side of the map like the last three times. Why look, over there's the sanctum, so we must be close."

"Yeah, yeah. You're just lucky you lost as much power as you did otherwise we'd probably be in the middle of the ocean. Again." He muttered. Slowly the locations of each movement on the earth steadily became vivid in his mind. "Looks like you didn't overshoot it too bad, and we ended up outside their range anyway. They've moved closer to the shore, but they're pretty much directly south west. I can't find the partner but give it's a flier I wouldn't be surprised if it's close to her."

"Why is that a hint of a grin I'm seeing on your rocky face old chum? What's got you in such good spirits?" The strange looking creature said, a small chuckle escaping him.

His companion groaned, before a small laugh escaped him as well. "I felt something else further back." He said, faintly.

"Well speak up old chum."

"It was faint, a little further than I'm usually comfortable sensing, and they were a tad more spread out than I'd have figured, but it was definitely humans."

His friend's face looked confused for a moment, before a faint grin lit his strange looking face. "Chosen." He said softly. "There may be hope yet."

A wide grin suddenly lit his face. "Well, let's make sure we're there in time to save them old chum!" Quickly he grabbed his companion's stone arm before a faint light surrounded him before he turned directly around, preparing himself for a good run.

"Wait, no, that's-!"

"I CAN'T WAIT!" He yelled, cutting him off as both their forms sped forth into the distance.

Faintly the sound of a long suffering voice yelling "That's south you moron!" echoed into the distance.

*BEEP*

It was a light beeping sound but it was enough for Kyouya to know that he had received a message. And he was 99% sure it was from that idol again.

He had been certain that there was some sort of blocking function on his D-Synchro but whenever he tried applying it to Suzuka, it didn't have any effect. Which was odd because any self-respecting e-mail service had a spam filter to protect against unwanted e-mails and messages. In whatever case, her contact address was firmly placed in the trusted addresses category and he couldn't get it out.

It was enough to keep him in a sour mood each day.

Kyouya did check his messages properly of course. He at least wanted to be sure that he was still kept in the loop.

'Hmmm... if I read my map correctly, Coredramon should only be a few miles away from Daimachi.' After some thought, he decided he would have to get in touch with his partner.

Coredramon... are you finished?

Yeah. For crying out loud, that was pretty pathetic. I finished deleting and loading all the inhabitants within the hour!

If there was one thing Kyo appreciated about his partner, it was his brutal efficiency.

So no survivors?

Nada from what I can tell.

Kyouya nodded to himself. In that case, head to Daimachi. There's business to be finished there.

Hmph! I bet that weakling got sidetracked again or something. Oh, well... more data for me I guess.

Now with that done, time to send a response.

"Idol lady,

First of all, that whining about me not leaving you a message just reeks of a wife nagging her husband and wondering where he went. And I seriously find that fucking creepy so knock it off.

I sent my Coredramon to help you with cleaning up Daimachi although I was certain someone like you should have been able to handle that much. He's already finished the work in his area and loaded the data for each inhabitant.

Once we get a better idea of what those white dots are (if you can find them again since they seemed to vanish from my radar), if they're enemies, then we'll need to divide the workload depending on how many there are.

Kyouya

PS: Please save that 'hugs and kisses' and hearts shit for your fans."

Tk slowly stepped off the bus looking around the building they were in, Monodramon in step behind him curious about the building.

"So....What do we do now, Kaji-san? ....Also....What are we gonna do about food? I don't have anything on me...I'm not sure about the others...Ryan-san doesn't seem like he's gonna share his food." Tk said as he looked around before turning towards Kaji.

Monodramon looked at the group of Digimon curious as they approached.

"So...what's your guys' plan?" Monodramon asked quietly.

Ryan fiddles with the Device. Trying to figure out what it does. He gets to a weird screen. Words like Purify flash through causing his fingers to itch to press certain ones. Ryan resists for now and switches it to the default mode.

"Oy, When's this rescue thing gonna start?"

My back was about okay now, it would be bruised for a bit, but I could deal with it.

I've been looking through this 'D-Synchro' thing, the holographic screen thing was cool, it would have been such a pain in the ass to do anything meaningful with this things tiny screen otherwise.

The mods looked interesting, though a description would have been prudent, what the hell was Type Conversion supposed to do?

I eventually decided to click on Purify to see if it would bring up some kind of description, since it sounded interesting, but instead Purify disappeared from the list of available selections.

"Damn..." I muttered to myself.

I x'd out and looked around for a bit, Purify was now in my list of selected mods, and I couldn't cancel it.

One chance only huh?

I went back to the selection screen, it says I only had two choices left.

Okay, I have no idea what these are for or what they do, I could wait until I learn more, maybe...

I went back to my list of selected mods and activated Purify.

Select Target.

Okay...

I half halfheartedly pointed it at myself, as Purify didn't sound particularly bad.

Nothing.

I checked the stupid thing.

ERROR: NO PARTNER.

Okay, so only on partners... That lizard thing... Monodramon...

I ignored the sudden lack of light, I could see fine with the glowing holo screen anyway, in a city like this a tunnel or something was expected.

I pointed at Monodramon, sitting up front with Takeru, I selected him on the screen and hit the button again.

ERROR: UNABLE TO TARGET PARTNERED DIGIMON.

Oookay~... That's a no...

There was a loud bang from the front of the Bus.

... Is that a teenage werewolf wearing white leather?

*MOTHERFUCKING SCENE SKIP BITCH'S AT HOME*

Okay, there's a lot of different kinds of these things

The burning Lion thing was walking up to me.

It wasn't glaring at us anymore but the look on it's face was... Hard to place.

It opened it's mouth.

I promptly regretted it doing so.

"HI! I'm CORONAMON, who are you?" It said, it's voice shooting all over the place.

My gawk was the stuff of legend.

"Saishu..." I forced out out of reflexive politeness.

"GREETINGS SAISHU! we will all be fighting together for GREAT JUSTICE from now on!" the lion thing named Coronamon shouted excitedly.

What the fuck?

Confusion, I have it.

"Is there anything I may do for you and yours new friend?" It sounded excited at least...

Wait.

"Yeah there's one thing... See this thing?" I held up my D-Synchro for emphasis.

"This does something, but I can't get it to work, could you help me with that?" Hopefully it would calm this thing down.

"YES new comrade!... What exactly should a do?" Well it was less annoying when it was confused, so mission accomplished I guess.

"This thing has something called 'mods' on it, I have one called 'Purify' and I'm trying to see how it works, can I try to use it on you to see if it does anything?" Hopefully it would chicken out and go shout at someone el-

"Yes new friend Saishu! I understand, I will help you understand the Holy Device so you may help save the world from EVIL!" He actually struck the Gunbuster pose for emphasis.

*Eyetwitch*

"Yeah... Just, hold still..." I pointed the 'Holy Device', which honestly sounded less stupid then D-Synchro, and hit purify.

He got the most hilarious look on his face, and I didn't get an error message.

Then I got the most horrifying notice I'd ever gotten in my life from the D-Synchro screen as Coronamon suddenly burst out with a glowing white aura.

PARTNER DIGIMON SELECTED, CONGRATULATIONS.

I reached up and pinched my nose as Coronamon start giggling about how it tickled.

"Oh God no..." I muttered in despair.

Oh please... I'm stuck with this guy now...
