I have noticed that many people here hate the AkanexRanma pairing. So, I propose that you make a good, AkanexRanma fic. The charachters have to be in canon, and it has to be more than a one-shot.

For all of you people who love AkanexRanma fics, do a good, Akane is a bitch! story, but it does not have to be all about that. It just has to be seen and be important in the story. The same rules above apply, but you can stretch Akane's charachter.

I personally don't care that much about the pairing, but I think it would be very helpful lesson towards people's writing. Very few people actually get Akane's charachter right. She is not a total bitch nor an angel. She is in between those. This challenge will hopefully help people on their charachterization of her.

I don't personally find it that interesting, but it's a perfectly good idea. It's the Devil's Advocate concept. Even if you're completely partisan it helps you search for flaws in your arguments and develop important counterarguments. This sort of stretching is intellectual exercise. Empathy is important for top-flight writing.

The idea itself is a very interesting one, probably guided by Masterwind encountering one too many Saint/Bitch arguments based on the character.

Although it has to be said, by insisting that the characters be in character, you close off a lot of options and make the challenge a lot harder. Part of the problem is that some of the people who hate Akane actually do view her the way they write her.

Incidentally, there's a loophole in the "Akane is a bitch!" part of the challenge. I move to ammend this by adding the following statement. "Akane is not under the effects of any plot device that is altering her behaviour. She is a bitch in this fic because that is how she acts normally within the universe that fic is set in."
Or something like that. A story where, say, Akane falls under the effects of the Reversal Jewel instead of Shampoo shouldn't count within this challenge.
