I believe thatisthejoke.gif is the correct response.

So... why doesn't Clara seem to remember the events of both Time of/Day of The Doctor? Because she seemed very confused about how regeneration works (what with wanting to change him back)... when she's seen every version of the Doctor while travelling through his personal timeline. You'd think she'd be a bit more comfortable with it. I mean, DotD certainly implied that she remembered all his faces. There was no confusion when she met 10 or the War Doctor. We went from her realising that the War Doctor hadn't used the Moment because his eyes were so young, to this:

CLARA: ... You said renewed. He doesn't look renewed, he looks ... older.
VASTRA: You thought he was young?
CLARA: He looked young.
Also, Vastra and Jenny seem to have gone from a lesbian couple to a guy's imagining of what a lesbian couple might be like. Vastra in particular seemed wildly out of character.

Clara seemed to be attached to #11 more than 'The Doctor' in general - imo - and that, combined with how he was acting, seemed to be why she was having trouble. She was friendly enough with #10 and the War Doctor, but she was 11's companion, not theirs. Not to mention, she associates 11's face with saving her from being ripped apart in his personal timestream.

Also, Vastra and Jenny seem to have gone from a lesbian couple to a guy's imagining of what a lesbian couple might be like. Vastra in particular seemed wildly out of character.
Not having seen a lot of episodes with Vastra and Jenny, I can't comment on how ooc they were, but I did like the casual banter they had going on.

IMHO she was more distressed the Doctor was completely out of his funk, than him having a different face.

Hmmm, any thoughts on the preview for the finale?

On another note, anyone notice how this entire season has had a fairy tail theme to it? Fairy tails and Fear/Nightmares?
(not necessarily in order)
Clockwork robots
Shrinking and going into something
Robin Hood
Things that go bump in the night.
Space train mummy.
Drawings that will eat you.
Sentient forest/nature.
The Moon is an egg for a fantastical ancient creature.

The only one I don't quite see fitting the theme is The Caretaker. The Skovox Blitzer is kind of an outlier. I guess a 'magic' janitor saving a school from a monster.

Yeah, that finally answered the question about reincarnated genders...

Hell of a twist with the reveal of those skeletons, though. Talk about body horror...

Cyber-Brigadier for the win.
That wins for the most heartwarming moment of the year, yeah. Just so damn touching.

The fate of Danny was horrible, but the way he acted, even after the loss of emotions... damn. Man was a soldier through and through. Talk about a Dying Moment of Awesome.

I was sorry to see Clara go, but it's more than understandable. And Missy... such a sociopathic bitch, even to the very end.

Great season ender. Capaldi's really done well in the lead role, imo.

so this being not the first time the master has died. how long till we hear from the bastard again? if assuming he wont return as missy for some reason.
Steven Moffat has however, hinted that we haven’t seen the last of the Master despite her apparent end: “Supervillains don’t die do they! So I wouldn’t trust anything about that character’s ability to lie down and stop breathing.”
From here.

Who knows? Maybe Missy managed to teleport away just as she was hit, leaving her alive but badly hurt. I personally hope we see her again; she's a wonderfully evil (and charismatic) bitch.

I did note that everyone who "Missi" vaporised went up in a flash of red-- but she seemed to go out in a flash of blue. Makes you wonder...

Well, that's because she vaporised everyone with her compact mirror thing, while she herself got "vaporised" by Cyber-Brigadier.

This year's Christmas episode.

Sub-par Inception knock-off filled with bullshit about feelings.

Aliens reference/shout out is the one thing that stops it being the worst ever Christmas episode.

The sooner the show gets a new showrunner, the better.

Have not watched any episodes since Peter Davison (5th).
The original run hold cherished memories, of hiding behind the couch with the crappy special effects in fear.
There was something special about Dr. Who story craft back then and from what I'm told it is long gone.

That opinion is not incorrect.

Too much emphasis on wrapping up the story in 45 minutes and bullshit about feelings.

Then again, what do I know about storytelling?

Lego to release 'Doctor Who' sets later this year
... A licensing agreement between BBC Worldwide and the Lego Group will see the new set on store shelves before the end of the year, according to a press statement from BBC.
I resisted buying the Marvel/DC Lego sets, because of the high prices... but I might just get some of this.
