Download stories from ffn.net

There was this programe that downloaded a whole story in one go. I was wondering if anyone had it.

I never heard of it, and I think ff.net changed it's system once or twice, meaning if the program still can be found, it may not work any more.

Had it, tried it, did not like it, and then ditched it fast. more annoying than it is worth, but then, I prefer my fan fiction reading to be straight text, ideally in a Text Editer such as Helios Textpad.

You are referring to 'De-FFNet-izer' by Jon Rosebaugh. It is Occasionally updated to match FanFiction.Net changes. No clue if it is still current.

I've got that and it still works (the current model appears to check automatically for updates).

It's not a very efficient way of storing fics (takes up a lot of memory) and if you're like me and want to correct the inevitable typos in your copies then you'll need to edit the raw html, but it does mean you aren't dependent on FF.net not vanishing up it's own bunghole.
