Nasuverse Downloaded Copy Won't Play

I had downloaded the VN while ago, and just downloaded Daemon Tools Lite to mount it. After a successful loading, I go to play it, only for AVG to kick out tm.exe as a Trojan. I'm running Windows 7, and wondering will I have to go torrent a different copy, or did I miss something with Daemon Tools (eight files, only mounted three -- two .cue and a .ccd).

I'm guessing here (because AVG has a tendency to pick up a lot of things that are not Trojans, as Trojans) that it might just be a false alert. But don't take my word for it, there's probably someone much more competent in this matter than me who will tell you exactly what's up.

Agreed.

Using AVG was the big mistake.

IIRC, after you patch it there is no need for the CD or to mount the image anymore.

I am pretty sure that is the case because I installed it on a external hard drive and it plays fine.

Use this copy. Just move it into your games folder and make a shortcut of the application to your desktop. It works, and has the realta nua patches. Enjoy.

Oh, yeah.

Something more like Avast!, or NOD32, or even (Shock! Horror!) Microsoft Security Essentials are far more reliable solutions, and less bloatware prone (although sadly, none of them are completely free of it).

The only products worse off than AVG, from experience, are anything of Norton's, or McAfee's more recent releases.

I use Spybot Search and Destroy and Adaware - Spybot's completely freeware, and Adaware has good functionallity even in the free version.

There's also "Microsoft Security Essentials, which is Microsoft's free anti-virus software.

I've never had any problems with it.

Thank you everyone. :)

I decided to go with ttestagr's link, as it's already unpacked and has the patches in place. So far, no troubles.

Thank you all once again. :)
