Okay, since I need a lot of tips concerning the game, I decided to make this thread. This can also cover some related stuff, like DLC content and showing off your characters, in the hopes of meeting other TFF people online or simply just showing off,

First off, does anyone know how to achieve the ultimate finish for the first and second Ginyu forces PQ? if yes, how?

Second, is there a difference between the Super Saiyan and Super Vegeta transformations?

Third, are there some items that increase skill/item drop rate?

According to GameFAQs, Super Vegeta is ki-centric. You get 3% bonus to ki attacks and take 10% less ki damage, whereas Super Saiyajin gives you the same to non-ki attacks and 10% less damage overall.

Apparently you can also get Trunks' special Super Saiyajin state if you take a Z-Soul from Cell.

1. Be more specific about which PQ you're talking about they are numbered and have titles to make it easy to tell which one you mean. There are several that might be the first and second Ginyu Force. I assume you mean PQ 08 and 10.

For 08 beat Guldo and collect Seven Dragon balls. The other Dragon Balls show up at random, but you need to beat Guldo to trigger them.

For 10 you need to clear it in under 10 minutes, and defeat Burter, Jeice, and Ginyu.

Some of the Ultimate Finishes rely on RNG events, so there will be times when you won't be able to finish with an Ultimate Finish because an event didn't trigger.

2. H-Man is correct. Super Vegeta is Ki Super centered, and Super Saiyan is more focused on Strike Supers. I can confirm this because I use a Ki based character, and I do more damage with Ki blasts with Super Vegeta and less strike damage.

3. There are no items that increase drop rates. However, sometimes you can increase the chances of an event occurring by doing things in a specific order. Usually, the closer an event is to the Anime the higher the chances you'll trigger an event. For example, if there's a fight in the Anime where Krillin is beaten first, and then Piccolo, and then Gohan, and you've got to fight against them because the PQ has you on the bad guy's side, then you should try to beat them in the same order. It won't guarantee anything, but it does seem to affect the chances a little and make an event triggering more or less likely.

Some of the early ones you won't get the Ultimate for until you're a much higher level because they need to be beaten within a set amount of time. The first Saibamen one is a good example.

Since you're a Saiyan, it's worth mentioning that you should be on the lookout for certain Z-Souls. There are a couple that will extend the time you remain in SSJ mode. See the post below this one for more info.

Also, it's very expensive at 600k, but when you get the chance to buy Final Shine, snap it up. It's an awesome attack for SSJ because you can hold down the attack button to use the full ki bar when untransformed and do a ton of damage. With SSJ it doesn't drain your Ki down and it still only lasts as long as if it drained your Ki bar normally. It does a ton of damage and hits pretty reliably.

From the games thread, might find some of this useful.

"I am Super Vegeta" and "Super Saiyan Bargain Sale" both extend SSJ forms by a bit with a few stat boots.

However, Future Android 18's Z Soul "I"ll Use All My Strength to Kill You." automatically regenerates Ki, and actually holds the SSJ Transformation longer than either of the Super Saiyan Z Souls do. It's still a minor boost, but it is a bit longer. The only difference is you lose the bonus damage for Vegita's moves or General Ki attacks from the two SSJ related Z Soul's bonuses. Both of those bonuses are really pretty small anyway.

I think the extended life of the Transformation is more than worth the trade off to be honest. Future 18's Z Soul also grants an attack bonus when Ki is full, but generally speaking a Saiyan character isn't going to get much use out of that.

For non-Saiyan players not trying to keep a Ki draining transformation going, The Namekian Z souls tend to be the best. Starting with "Feel the Wrath of the Namekian, which is created from fusing "Don't Underestimate Earth" and "I must protect Elder Guru". I suggest skipping "A God Isn't What This World Needs" as it switches the health regen to when you use a support ability, and going straight to "I Am Neither Kami Nor Piccolo Now." which brings it back to when Ki is maxed. You do need "A God Isn't What This World Needs" to make that, but for anyone not needing to control Ki loss for a transformation it seems to have the most benefits for general use.

Also, if you have the DLC with GT Trunks, Pan, and Goku, then you get immediate access to two seven star level PQs that dish out about 40k xp with a Z ranking. The base reward is 25k zeni as well. I've only really messed around with the one where you fight Pan, Goku, and Trunks from GT. You need to beat Goku and Trunks before Pan to get the special conditions. It's a great way to level up if you've got a character and a couple of supporters that can deal with the level. Not for starters, but once you get to around lvl 30-40 you should be able to handle it if you're skilled enough. If not, around lvl 50 should be able to deal with it. You'll gain at least one level every time you beat it until around lvl 70.

The three characters are pretty strong, but not the strongest. GT Goku is neat because you can play around with SSJ 3, one of his versions has the ability. Unfortunately, he doesn't have many moves that can take much advantage of it, and his ki bar is very small. All three have nice move sets with the exception of Goku with SSJ 3. He has the Super Spirit Bomb, which takes a very long time, and covers a wide area, but you can only get about two off if you do them back to back with his SSJ 3 transformation.

How do you tell a Super 1 from a Super 2 in gameplay?
They look almost the same. The SSJ 2 aura is darker and has a bolder effect, it's kind of an orange color where as SSJ is more of a yellow and has less of an aura effect around the player.

Got onto the Xenoverse server for the first time. It feels weird, seeing actual players playing this game in real time, guess I'm new to using a console instead of a PC for online gaming.

Maybe I\ll stumble into one of you guys while I'm online, hahaha
