I've been following Kyon: Big Damn Hero as of late. It's pretty good. :D

He's even mixed in Higurashi into it a little, haha.

Kyon: big damn hero is probably my favorite fanfic, many times better than anything else that I have read. For me the only other fanfic that is at that level is Genkyouien.

I can't wait for it to finish so I can have my book format K:bdh printed and delivered to my house.

Hmmm I'll have to disagree... K:BDH at least seems to be GOING somewhere. Genkyouien seems to be running in circles constantly introducing characters while going nowhere... at all... I mean a slow circling to a plot point or something...

Well, Genkyouien is slow. Very slow. Like, you know, over 500.000 words for a week of story. But even then it is well written like few things in the world of english fanfiction. And the mugyuu is powerful and awesome.

And comparing K:BDH with anything is unfair for the other thing.

A lot of things could happen in a week. Even more so if you can time-travel back to the start of said week.

Still, Genkyouien is a guilty pleasure for me. There's no drama, the humor is standard for harem-material, no action scenes worth speaking of, and the slice-of-life format gets boring after a while; Naruto is a shonen manga, after all. Not something I would recommend but something I like for purely personal reasons (ie, loli foxgirls plus harem).

But yes, the mugyuu is powerful and awesome.

Just thought be might want to know but Durandall has apparently started on a new Haruhi fic.

The Nightmare of Sagittarius: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6056585/1/The_..._of_Sagittarius
A malfunction mistimed, and a world that shouldn't have been; a Haruhi-based space opera. Contains hard-core sci-fi; like, really, especially in later chapters . Don't read if you can't handle technobabble.

Damn it, I read that weeks ago and thought your post meant it updated. :(

EDIT:

Well at least I found out that K:BDH updated a day ago. . .

Since then, 2 more chapters were added.

I simply love how from the start he uses Dr Who time travelling type, in chapter 26 Kyon pretty much nails that in for those who maybe missed it, but it was noticable even before, what with random jumping for various things.

I somehow dislike Sasaki a lot, I loved how some of her friends act and was actually quite intrigued with how some of them reacted to Kyon, very, very interesting, this story simply grows more and more interesting.

Only one chapter. FF.net count prologues as chapters. Durandall's on 25.

I like Sasaki. Or rather, I like how she contrasts Haruhi. I just hope she isn't put into the unabashed harem, because it's already straining me a tiny bit.

New chapter from Durandall,

Title: Kyon: Big Damn Hero

Category: Haruhi Suzumiya series

Character(s): Kyon & Haruhi S.

Chapter 28 Title: Initial Conflict Arc IV
Words: 11,242
Genre(s): Humor/Adventure
Rating: Rated: T
Summary: A Tvtropes website/Haruhi crossover. Kyon with a beam saber. Haruhi
aware of her powers. Beware the unsubtle harem plot. Now say it with a
straight face -- I dare you. Sorry the admins ruined my formatting here; check
