He was one of the first that really got me into fanfiction big back in early 2000. He will be missed.

I had talked a few times by email over the years to him on story items, though I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person.

I just checked... I had read and was tracking 18 stories under Durandall (FF.NET Profile Page and his current author site), and 5 stories under Brian Randall (his old Lost Library of Florestica Author Page).

Good stuff...

Maybe, I'll look into some of the stuff he wrote I had not read over the years.

Moment of silence for another loss life. Thanks given for all the works he made and the inspiration he brought to others.

while i still hope (also know as try to delude myself) that this is just another Internet drama thing (much like when everyone tought Mark Twain was dead) i am enough of a pessimist as to assume the worst of a situation, so paraphrasing and repeating what everyone here has been saying:
May god bless his soul, may he rest in peace, may his family find rest and closure and that his works keep inspiring people to be better.

Well, that sucks.

My condolences to his friends and family. A loss will always leave a scar especially in a case where it was not natural causes that lead to the end. I hope his family can overcome it and band together.
