The admin doesn't need any experience in web development considering it is third party hosted.

Well I guess I'll vote for Vex since he's one of only two people who seriously answered my request to give a real sales pitch for why they'd be the best candidate instead of a silly political slogan, and the other guy said he'd prefer to be backup Admin.
Honestly, all mods are going to do is police the populace and keep the forums clean.

Every candidate would probably say the same thing: "I'm best because this and this."

Just vote for who you trust.
This is the admin voting thread. Admins have quite a bit more power and responsibility than mods. And they need to have some degree of knowledge of web programming languages.
Whoops. Got my threads mixed up. Apologies. =p

Completely incorrect. You still need a solid handling of HTML, CSS, and javascript.

Be able to change a few formatting things around you don't really need a solid handling of it. Just enough to not make it permanent and play around with it.

For future development? Sure. But as standard maintenance?

What would an admin need to know?

So this is what ultimate power feels like.

I've been a member of TFF since I was in high school. First forum I joined that wasn't me asking for debugging help. I was reading stories by Hawk, Andrew Joshua Talon, Lord Raa, random1337 and at least a dozen other members of this forum, whose writing and ideas were so obviously a cut above the rest that I knew I wanted to be a part of the place they did their thinking. My first week I was intimidated by the names and personalities I saw here. My second week someone posted something I disagreed with and off I went.

TFF has given me a lot over the years. Community. New fandoms. Reading material. Lemons. Good friends. Iron Fic was my attempt to give something back to the board when it started flagging, but Shirotsume saved it for real. I'd like to thank him for doing that, AJT for showing me the way, locke69/Kyonko for giving me a place to meet and talk with TFFers, image for being a bro IRL, the Four Corners for their passion (even if I disagree with every other thing you say), everyone who has written for Iron Fic, and everyone who writes, responds, reads and lurks on the only forum I've ever needed. You make this place special.

I honestly feel like adminship has passed into good hands. Shirotsume is the only other person I would have really trusted to do this sort of thing, since he went so far as to revive the forum all by his lonesome.

May your rule be long and fruitful~

So Watashiwa isn't going to use a separate account for administrating like Shirotsume did? I assumed that Shirotsume was going to hand over the password for the TFF Admin account instead of making Watashiwa's original account an admin.

Actually, I had to make a new account so that Hawk wouldn't end up root admin. I could have merged Shirotsume and TFF_Admin after we imported the database, but that wasn't exactly the right message to send.

Also, having a seperate account is terrible, because you can only see reports and admin/mod when oyu log into the second account, which makes it useless unless you constantly switch accounts.

Most likely, once the second admin is picked (I'm staying on till then to help Wata get used to admin'ing) I'll just give wata the password to scramble.

The fact that Aku is your avatar worries me.
And mine is Sheogorath. Which worries you more?
I don't know who that is or what he's from, so Aku for now. Providing links could change that.

You do not know who Sheogorath is. What. Have you never played any Elder Scrolls game before? He is the god of madness and he was the star of the Shivering Isles, which was in my opinion the best Elder Scrolls game or dlc campaign ever made.

Very, VERY disturbing that even after he abandoned us, the old Overlord STILL managed to claw his fingers into our lives. Then again, we do call him 'Overlord', so there might be something to it...

Onto more pleasant matters, Congratulations Watashiwa! I look forward to your adminship of TFF. You have my support to get rid of spam and any other such nonsense that needs to be purged.

TFF has given me a lot over the years.
Have to agree with this. I started reading fanfiction years ago and it was from a Slayers livejournal group that I got started writing fanfiction. But improving my work? And the discussions we've had over the years? TFF is invaluable to me.

Here's a salute to Watashiwa and GenocideHeart for winning the election,

I may not have voted for either of you, but you have my support!
