This is the election for one of the mod positions. You have one choice. The election for the second and third mod position will be later.

This poll will be open for 4 days.

One thing I forgot to mention- use this thread to discuss the pros/cons of any choice, mention who you voted for, and don't forget you can change your vote!

Vote for me folks!

I promise not to be a dick (in my official capacity) and will make every effort to hear out complaints. Those who know me from other forums may say that I take life a bit too seriously, but if anything I like to think that I'm a responsible person.

Remember: chronodekar - the responsible one. Cast your vote today!

So, everyone should vote for me.

Why?

Because, I'm impartial- I haven't been a true part of the board politics and arguments, just a lurker, observing them. That means no favoritism, no past conflicts tainting my rulings, or anything else. Just me evaluating the situation and making an appropriate ruling.

I also am willing to listen to people- if you have a complaint or criticism, I'll be glad to hear it out and see what I can do. Same with suggestions that are within my power.

Two questions... They may seem stupid but I wanted to ask to get it explicitly stated so I'm not operating under false assumptions. Since this is specifically Mod 1:

1. I assume there is not any true seniority in the mod selections is there? They are to be equal when all is said and done, correct (as oppose to Mod1 having authority over 2 and them over 3)?

2. I assume that those not elected for Mod 1 get re-entered into the pol for Mod 2 and later 3 correct?

Vote for me because I don't get mad until you're an extra-special form of stupid. Also I'll fix your healthcare

Also ponies.

Voted for Souffle, but I expect GenocideHeart to sweep the first round. Though his being a mod is pretty much a foregone conclusion.

"Let me tell you about Homestuck", is a meme.

Back before it started sucking, Homestuck had an incredibly dense, convoluted plot that a lot of people found it difficult to understand or keep straight, along with really, really eager fans who were all too fucking happy to turn unsuspecting suckers into new fans like bloodthirsty vampires descending upon dumbstruck villagers.

A couple people asked way back when, and I directed them to the comic with the least frothing possible.

That was also back before I wanted to set the author adrift on an ice flow for being a shit.

Anyway, back on topic, or possibly make a new topic to discuss this homestuck shit, I don't care.

Edit: Chucklefucks, I just realized that in this poll, I voted for GenocideHeart, and GenocideHeart voted for me.

I wonder if I'll be the only one without votes. I suppose I could have voted for myself, but that seemed a bit tacky...

Since people can change their votes, this might not last long but at the time of this post,

Dickhead's who've voted for themselves,

TkMacintosh
chronodekar
Irksome Productions
souffle

Selfless Heart-of-Gold souls who've voted for someone else (and whom),

GenocideHeart -(voted for)> Vexarian
Vexarian -(voted for)> GenocideHeart
Dark Knight Gafgar -> GenocideHeart
The Ero-Sennin -> Watashiwa
zerohour -> GenocideHeart

And finally, candidates who don't seem to aware that an election is going on,

Ryuugi ->
Hardcore Heathen ->
Watashiwa ->
Zephyrus ->

Shows an interesting picture, doesn't it? I'm wondering though, are people voting for GH just because he's the current leader?

Yes, but also because I wanted to vote for him. Obviously there are people on this list who I'd prefer, and I'd sooner vote for a person I like who is likely to win, than a person I like who isn't likely to win.

Politics 101.

Maybe we should have done the runoff thing people were talking about. Probably too complicated for most of us to really care, so whatever.

Though after hearing we can change our votes, honestly, I would probably change to vote for myself if I was neck and neck to win.

I voted for GH, myself. Mostly because I want as close to 24/7 coverage of mods as possible, and of the people I'd want to vote for, he's pretty much the only one I know lives in Europe.

This sums up my feelings exactly.
