In an attempt to reduce the competition for Sasuke, Ino zaps Sakura with a jutsu that she found in her family's scroll library. This has the effect of swapping her feelings for two people, selected by the user. Thus, in this case, instead of being devoted to Sasuke and annoyed with Naruto, Sakura becomes devoted to Naruto, and annoyed with Sasuke. Of course, neither of her teammates object to this change in attitude, so Naruto and Sakura date for a while.

Eventually, the jutsu is broken, but things fail to go back to the status quo: Sakura realizes that she was much happier dating Naruto than pining after Sasuke, and without her obsession over him, she probably noticed Angst-boi's complete lack of interest in the female gender... or anything else not related to killing his brother.

So, Naruto gets the girl he wants, Sakura gets a guy who really likes her, and Sasuke gets one less annoying fangirl.

If you're dead-set against writing Naruto/Sakura, you could just have Ino screw up the targeting, and exchange her own feelings for Naruto and Sasuke. For a more comedic, but probably shorter fic, Ino switches Sakura's feelings for Ino and Sasuke, or her own feelings for Sakura and Sasuke.

Hmm, seems interesting, it's kind of an overdone plot (character dates other character under false pretenses, pretenses fall but characters decide they love each other anyway) but would still be am enjoyable read and would be worth seeing done, and even though I hate Sakura most of the time I do enjoy seeing her in the occasional pairing with Naruto, if my enjoyment of this pairing ever waivers then all I have to do is watch this AMV and my interest in it is restored.

I knew it was overdone, but I haven't seen any Naruto fics with that idea, and as it was already in my head, I thought I'd see if anyone wanted it.
