Has anyone else read this? I liked it. Also any fanfic recommendations if there is any out there.

I've read it and loved it. Well worth buying. Its about this not-very-good superheroine with a super suite who occasional pulls off crowning moments of awesomeness. It also overflows with non-nude bondage (she gets tied up a lot).

I've never seen any fan fiction for it but, then again, I've never looked.

Good decision to link to the Wikipedia article rather than TVtropes one. Otherwise we might have lost everyone for five hours.

Instead, it were merely four hours.

Having read volume 8 now, I found the little post-script where Warren complains about how everyone asks him when's he going to finish the story to be Entertaining.

Why would an American comic book series have an ending?

because Warren usually kills all his characters and the book ends.

In fairness that's usually been in universes he had no greater control over like Wildstorm or Marvel. I will admit thought hat the whole Willy Pete thing screams End Boss, and having one of those does tend to indicate an End.

True. And that's gonna be one hell of a battle, even given Emp's run of luck.

I gotta admit, when I picked up the first volume, I really wasn't expecting much - I got it because I happen to like Warren's work, and wanted to see how this compared to some of his other stuff (his later Dirty Pair stuff, especially). I was pleasantly surprised - it's a book that didn't take itself seriously, has some great art, and quirky humor. Then we hit volume 3, and then volume 4, and good god, volume 5.

Warren's got chops, give him that.

Yup. He owns the characters and 'verse too I think, so his usual kill 'em all so others can't do anything isn't as necessary methinks. Though that's kinda repeating my earlier post... eh. I'm looking forward to finding out more about
why hell is guarded by alien super worms, the future adventures of Kozoe on the run from the Ninja, and
the Caged DEMONWOLF! Honestly I think he's one of my favorite eldritch monstrosities from beyond the stars.

I want to learn more about the suit, personally. And yeah, more of Ninjette's drunken adventures on the run from the ninja.

I would also like to learn more about what went down in San Antonio. Seriously, what prompted that clusterfuck?

Wasn't it that you had a bunch of norms killing capes? and not getting caught? Given the general asshole tendencies of Emp Capes I'd say that's enough for the escalation to get to the point of City Destroying via alien superweapon.
