So, this particular fic was on geocities, though I think it later got posted on FF.net as well. It was three chapters or so long, and a partial fourth chapter. The first chapter had Shinji and his two school buddies going camping outside of Tokyo-3 on top of some big hill, with the intent of watching a meteor shower. Along with the meteor shower comes a couple of ships with some Saiyajin and another alien, who begin fighting at high speeds. Shinji is able to keep up with the action but the other two are not.
To summarize what else happens...one of the Saiyajin recognizes the planet, and Shinji, as some kind of destroyer of prophecy. Asuka and Rei go up against the Saiyajin after he turns into a giant monkey and get stomped. Shinji goes nuts in his Eva, repeating, "I'll kill you, I'll kill you," before attacking the Saiyajin. The fic pretty much ends after that fight.
