First one definitely is. Every pic except the one of Asuka in the middle is from the Shinji Ikari Raising Project game, which added three female bridge bunnies. Kaede there not only looks like Maya, but is supposed to be her best friend.

I do like the one of a post series ending Asuka with an AT Field and a mini lance... though it is a pity she does not overly look much like Asuka.

Considering how Eva ends...you could make an argument that Shinji's actions lead to the age of the Orokin....and the rise of the Tenno...meaning he is the progenitor of a new civilization....and a warrior caste...with the history getting his personality COMPLETELY wrong....and then he wakes up in this world.
