About the idea of yandere Asuka. The first thing that comes to my mind is the fact that Yandere is going to be nicer to Shinji than canon Asuka, that could make Shinji fall in love with her a very smoth relationship compared to any other version. In normal circunstances this defuse the murder episodes, but who knows?

For Ritsuko well she can copy by killing the clones, that helps her to deal with the stress. If she is going all in for Gendo could be hilarius seeing her trying to kill the Eva-01.

Well- considering Shinji's reaction would be that regardless- and the others are natively that way too (As a result of the shop, so...)

This, so much this. I can easily see Misato doing this as a prank on Shinji and can see her dragging Rei into it, Auska's the problem.

Do you just lack character comprehension at all? Asuka would jump at the chance to get a rise out of Shinji, and she'd laugh maniacally at the look on his face after.

Comes To Japan (one of the most amusing episode titles in a giant robot anime), Misato comments to the Children how much they resemble her and her friends, when they met in Freshman Year: Asuka is like an angier, German Misato, Shinji is like a shyer, male Ritsuko, and Rei is like a quieter, female Kaji ('Of course, we'd changed a lot by Senior Year'). None of the three are terribly happy about this, particularly after Kaji and Ritsuko confirm it. Apart from Asuka not stealing Misato's beer anymore, what might they do to try to differentiate themselves (if Rei would even bother)?

I thought that it was Misato who was as emotionless as Rei, not Kaji. :hmm: Edit: or was that true only for her early teenage years?

Misato was catatonic for a while after the Second Impact. IIRC, Ritsuko mentioned in Death & Rebirth that Misato "hadn't talked for three years and seemed to be making up for it now."
