I'd say one of the worst that I read was the Yandere Asuka in

Anyone know if Christmas Together by kira862 is any good?? Been tempted to read it...

Is very good. Makes me remember those old S/A fics by Rakna and Ryoma.

Well... 2 chapters into it (out of 6, it just updated with 2 more chapters today)

Its not bad, in fact reasonably good compared to most christmas fanfiction I've seen in last couple years... But a few scenes so far do not make much sense to me as they are laid out... at least when examining them against other statements.

Example... It is mentioned they try to keep costs down. Fine, but then they:

1. have to get a real tree each year not a put together one. Ok, some love the appeal of a live one, but I'm uncertain how popular live pine trees are in a post 3rd impact Japan. Maybe it is a tribute to Kado Matsu, which is a bit of a tradition over there.

2. If they have a small Honda... physically transporting a tree is of concern, yet it was not even mentioned that it might be an issue.

3. If they have a tree each year why would they need new ornaments and/or lights when most people save theirs from year to year... and only replace as needed.

4. Why would they waste the time looking for a tree, then not get it.. what if it is gone the next day?

5. They entered the apartment, and were hit by a blast of hot air... if they have their own climate controls, I would have expected them to turn it down somewhat to save on costs of heating while they are not present.

Yes.

His dramatic stuff is well-written.

I don't like his comedy stuff as much. That's not to say that it's bad, it's just that some people can't do comedy as well as they can do drama.

And vice a versa

... What 'Ritsuko raped Shinji' fic? I don't recall it. Link, please?

Witness, I don't have a link to it on hand but I know it's on mediaminer, just search the M rated Evangelion fics and you'll find it.

Meh... tried to read it... could not keep my interest... looked well written though.

Only two NGE stories taking place in the past (before 1950) have interested me... so far, neither is being continued of late.

Well, I liked it. The author has really put quite a bit of an effort to make this AU story work. It is just quite sad that Misato and Ritsuko got shafted however, but that is more due to the time they lived in. Oh, and poor Asuka picked up yet another family name. :lol:

Here's something I just found. <a href='http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8143030/1/This_Lonely_Heart_Wanders' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>This Lonely Heart Wanders.</a> Corny title, but it grabbed my interest with the description:

Third Impact fizzled, which is what no-one had expected to happen. Kaoru defeated Shinji, collected Lilith and Adam, and left. Humanity didn't end. The world kept spinning. Time passes.

I've just begun, but it seems to be rather slice-of-life-y. An interesting twist, considering what usually comes out of the fandom.

Honestly, I liked the fic. Not so much the beginning, middle, or end but the extra content. It had a very good Omake, that should be a fic.
