There's two fics that came to mind recently, and I want to read them again... heck, maybe they've even updated.
One had the Children gaining Angel traits of some sort... I remember that Asuka's hands grew eyes and she used an AT field to uproot a city block when Shinji pissed her off. I think I remember something about Rei completely changing after her death and hanging around an old man gardening, too.
The other was several years in the future, where Shinji and Asuka get invited to work at NERV again. Asuka's got a daughter who's actually a clone, named Ariel. Gendo's still a manipulative bastard, but seems to be the good guy this time around. Flashbacks to 3I reveal Yui was a bitch and Gendo told her to get back in the kitchen when she revealed the real plan she was about to carry out, which would have resulted in Shinji dying and Yui becoming God, or some such.
Anybody recognize those?

By the way, I'm looking for any sort of fic where Shinji isn't obsessed with Asuka, forgiving her for everything. I say obsessed because the author(s) who write that say it's love, when it's actually full of shit.
Didn't Shinji say in the "Vengeance" fic above something about "Not being able to love others if you don't care about yourself"?
Anyway, I'm getting off topic. I'm looking for a fic, not necessarily shipping or bashing, where he tells her to shut up and ignores her.

I'm finally getting around to reading a ton of Eva stories that I've been meaning to read (and this thread has given me 3 more, damn you TFF).
I am, however, looking around (read: digging my grave even deeper) to see if anybody has the 3rd fic of the "Together We Stand" trilogy "Carpe Diem." It's not on FFnet like the first two fics are. The only place that I know had it was at was Darkscribes. The Chain Lightning Studios website is down too... If anybody knows of another place where it is, spreading the knowledge would be appreciated.

Since it seems this is the generic fic search thread, I thought I'd add my own.
I'm looking for one where all the pilots got call signs. I believe that Rei of course got "Wondergirl", I can't recall what Shinji had, but Asuka got the call sign "Umberlee" after the Faerunian/Torillian goddess of the ocean, waves and sea.
She was quite pleased to be named after a goddess, especially since they justified it with her victory over the 6th angel at sea without the correct equipment.
However, much later she found out that Umberlee was also known as "The Bitch Queen" and was less than pleased, especially when people said it fit.
Does anybody recall what fic had Asuka getting stuck with the call sign "Umberlee"?
