Actually, the Khans main business is the manufacture and distribution of chems. They don't seem to use them all that much. Saying they don't use chems at all is naive, however, given their primary business, I highly doubt too many Khans use all that many drugs.
At least the male of the two Khans that sell chems up in Red Canyon is very obviously on drugs, seeing how scatterbrained he can be. That's not a good start... Point taken though.

That said, the problem is that Khans manufacture chems, but NOT antidotes. So all it takes is getting addicted once and, well... since they have no addiction-removal medicines AND no doctors (haven't found one, anyway), you can figure out how that ends.
Point and point.

And given Kudlak's low Charisma score, I doubt he'll be talking them into doing anything like that.
That's an understatement if I ever saw one. Throughout the fic, Kudlak will slowly get a little better at talking with people, but don't expect his Speech to go above 50, if it even gets there, meaning you can forget about a lot of speech checks.

Do note, however, that he's not level 1, for obvious reasons (come on, he's nearly a hundred years old, it's hard to explain someone like that as being totally experience-less, although being reclusive and not very handsome to boot does somewhat help with his being terrible as a people-person). I'm actually working on listing his stats in New Vegas terms so that I have a guideline for what he can and can't do and don't go fanboying with him being able to do everything.

That reminds me, if you all had to guess, what do you think Kudlak's scores would be in NV? I'm mostly curious... Level, SPECIAL, skill points, even perks and traits.

I just might use your suggestions. :p

Cannibal goes without saying. Traits... Skilled, Hot-Blooded, and Claustrophobia might work.

Friend of the Night, Hunter, Heave Ho, Bloody Mess, Rad Child, Living Anatomy, Strong Back, Terrifying Presence, Night Person, and Silent Running are all possibilities.

Comprehension and Educated also might work if you're taking the whole vault background. These perks would all come later on though most likely. It should be noted I went for fluff, not game canon for these perks. So a lot of the perks I listed might not match up with his stats.

I wouldn't agree to Claustrophobia.

How about Piercing Strike? If he's really that strong, its not unrealistic.

Claustrophobia doesn't fit. Kudlak LIKES small, dark, cramped spaces, because it's better than being out in the sun and frying slowly.

He's already photophobic as it is - you did notice how he flinched away from the light, right?

The rest are all good suggestions, although I already implemented some (such as Night Person, only on steroids - in the day he grows drowsy, as he's used to sleeping it off somewhere, so his perception and intelligence drop due to him, well, being half asleep).

Thanks! Will be open to more. Currently trying to get that youtube vid to work, but I'm on vacation at my usual location (ie mountains), and my net is painfully slow here. Worst case I'll wait until I'm home, should be back by the 9th.
