I have a craving for fanfiction... don`t we all?

But it's not any fanfiction that I crave. I crave H.P. Lovecraft fanfiction.

I've read Children of an Elder God. As well as The Insects from Shaggy (also by John Biles).

Footnotes to the Human Species (now sadly disappeared to the aethers of the internet), and City of Pillars (set in Footnotes same setting, and it appears dead as well).

I've also read A Colder War.

And I find myself wanting more... more Lovecraftian fanfics that are done well. That are realistic in their chilling horror.

So, I ask of you... my brethren on TFF. Give me my heart's desire and damn us all.

Indeed... which is why it is listed under the alternate name of "The Insects from Shaggy". ^_^

But yeah, Lovecraft fics seem to be a rare breed.

Lovecraft fics are probably a rare breed because people get the chills when reading them...on a scorching 100+ degree Fahrenheit day with the sun shining straight down upon them and cooking them in their own juices.

He was that damned good.

So quite frankly? For those that can enjoy the stories and read them? Trying to write something that does the atmosphere created by Lovecraft justice is an incredibly daunting task.

As for Lovecraftian fics for you to read...The Beginning of the End by poe1911. It's on FF.net and it's a Buffy the Vampire Slayer crossover. The atmosphere isn't what I'd describe as Lovecraftian, but it's definitely a Lovecraft crossover (though there's a bunch of others as well).

Started the Dresden Files series (up to book four, enjoying it so far).

Is there any decent fanfiction for the Dresden Files? One-shots, epic stories, anything?

I know about a couple HP/Dresden Files crosses, but I am more interested in pure Dresden Files or mainly Dresden Files fics.

So................anything?

Fic's been rewritten,
With plans for a new ending.
Check out the updates.

Poe is editing the completed fic, The Beginning of the End, and is uploading the updated chapters of The Call to Twisting the Hellmouth. According to the Author Notes in Chapter 5, the last chapter will be changed and new stuff will be added along the way. If you compare the original with the updated version, you can easily spot scenes being rearranged along with dialogue added onto or changed.

Well this is the thread for searches for book fics.

I'm looking for any good fics that crossover the Belgariad/Malloreon series and the Elenium/Tamuli series.

I'm also looking for one specific fic of that nature that I read years ago and can't find. It was a fic where both series took place on the same world, just eons apart. By the time the fic comes around Garion is the only sorceror left, and he can't really die, and Eriond is Sparhawk's God.

Stephen Baxter's books practically read like Lovecraft fanfiction without the racism or anti-technological bent.

Any good Twilight fanfics out there? @[biigoh] , are you're still looking for Lovecraft fics? If so, there's a thread over on DarkLordPotter asking about Lovecraft Fanfaction.

Here are some new recs from that...

Heather Sinclair's Gentleman Usher of the Scarlet Rod. Harry Potter.

Of Dreams That Are. Teen Titans fight Cthulhu as big bad, though it apparently takes a few chapters to get to that part.

There's my own At the Mountains of Discord, which is a My Little Pony: Friendship story inspired by at the Mountains of Madness. There's also a group on FimFiction with other lovecraftian stories: The Library of Lovecraftian and Lovecraft-inspired Fiction.

There's also Aeon Entelechy Evangelion by EarthScorpion, which mashes up and re imagines Lovecraft's work, Cthulhutech, Revelation Space, Eclipse Phase and probably a lot of other stuff too. I really liked it.

In a similar vain to Aeon Entelechy Evangelion, there's Academia Nut's New Blood. I haven't read it but people seem to like it.

Are there any good Mistborn fics? or really any of Brandon Sanderson's stuff, though I'd be more interested in Elantris and Warbreaker than the Way of Kings.

Hi all, finally found my way over here as well ;)
And to start:

I am looking for specific Percy Jackson Fics.
They where written by author Anaklusmos14 on fanfiction.net
he had some gods read versions of a couple or so (i think) of his fics. I believe altered destiny for one. But they somehow got deleted by the staff of the side. Something about only 1 version of a story beeing allowed or something like that. Those stories where a lot better than i first thought they would be from the "setting".

Does anybody know if the author has them somewhere else? (a quick google searched didn't get me anything)
Or as an alternate maybe someone has an archieved version of the story?

Quick Questions, are there Fanfics of Dune? beyond the one hundred eighty some in FFN? and are any of them good?
