Came across this when I was browsing the TM wiki. Apparently there was once supposed to be a F/SN MMO that was cancelled.

However, various details and character designs that were planned for the defunct MMO were collected in one of the Fate/complete material books:

Wasn't sure where to post this, but this seemed appropriate.

We don't know yet, and we won't know until the actual magazine that information came from is released in December.

The RAW of the first chapter of Fate/Apocrypha here.

A summary thanks to an anon from 4chan:

Magus (Sagara Hyouma) is trying to summon Jack the Ripper as a Servant, but failing so he's like "lol maybe I need to murder a woman for it to work then", so he decides to use this woman who he used suggestion on so he could live in her apartment and mooch off her for the war (Rikudou Reika). So he's killing Reika and she's like "noo I don't want to die I want to live" and that's what pulls Jack in. Even though Hyouma has the command spells, Jack is calling Reika Master/Mother, and he starts to realize something is wrong. But before he can tell her to kill herself, she cuts off his lower jaw and his hand with the command spells, then tells Reika she'll help her, Reika blacks out.

When she comes to, Jack has stitched up her wounds (and also Hyouma's, he's still alive, ohh guroi guroi). They go back to Reika's apartment where Jack explains about the grail war and such. Hyouma's hand still has his command seals since he's still alive, so they transfer them to Reika. They also need a vessel for the Grail (?) so Reika brings out this "ruby" Hyouma owned that Jack realizes is actually a mineralized human heart. Last order of business is that Jack needs to eat souls to stay around since Reika's not a magus, she assures Reika that she'll just eat bad people because their souls taste better (lol). So Reika suggests Hyouma, says to him "hey I guess I loved you but oh well you'll live in my memories lol", Jack nomnoms him. By now you may have noticed Reika just does not give a single fuck. They decide they're going to participate in the grail war, Reika has no wish, Jack wants to go back inside of her mother (oh that's where the "unbirth" title comes fromà)

That night Reika has a dream of Jack's memories, being ronery on the streets, cutting open some woman (not sure if it was her real mother or some woman she was calling mother) wanting to go back inside her where it was warm, etcetc. Jack is messed up.

They wake up and it's time to go nom on souls, Reika chose this loan shark company because they're "bad people". So Jack goes and uses the Mist on them and kills everyone. After that Reika says they're going to go home and Jack's all surprised because she never had a home. Reika says she's going to make hamburger, Jack's all "but Servants don't need to eatà" and Reika's like lolwhocares eat it anyway. So Jack is all ^_^ and they go home.

THE END.

... kinda weird that the author of Tainted Ideals got her character almost spot on.

Not really. When I read that she was "innocent like a child" but still capable of cutting corpses up, I figured she'd be messed up in the head as well.

So...I recently found out that Shirou Kotomine is now apparently canon.

DAT PIMP HAIR:

As always....Type Moon fan pandering is legendary.

And what's with him and dangerous women? No matter the universe, he never attracts the nice wholesome girls doesn't he?

He's from the Fate/Apocrypha light novel.

The basic premise is a parallel universe where the Fuyuki grail was dismantled after the 3rd Grail War. Decades later...a Romanian group called Yggdramillennia which has ties to old Nazi Germany decides to revive the ritual. They have a group of 7 masters who summon 7 servants forming Team Black. In response to this, the clock tower decides to send their own group of masters to participate. (Team Red).

Shirou Kotomine is the supervisor from the Holy Church who is sent along with Team Red. He is the master of Red Assassin (Queen Semiramis).

Apparently, his surname is Kotomine because he married into the Kotomine family. (meaning that Kirei is his father in law in this universe) :evil2:

Technically the Grail was not so much "dismantled" as outright stolen.

And the people who stole it from what I have learned about them are coming across as utter morons.

Four major cases come to mind.

1. They stole the Greater Grail from Fuyuki, likely pissing off everyone else involved , while also painting an enormous bullseye on their heads by proving that the Greater Grail can be stolen and transplanted to new areas. Like that won't attract a lot of attention now that they have proven it can still work in starting up Grail Wars, despite having to rip it out of leylines and transplant it into new ones. Seriously they are just asking for trouble.

2. It's after the Third Grail War, so a certain Evil God is still likely to be inside the Greater Grail. Admittedly this may not be their fault because only the Einzbern's knew about Angra Mainyu's nature. But one could conjecture that in taking nearly sixty years to get the Greater Grail up and running they would have noticed something.

3. For some reason the Grail is summoning a total of fifteen Servants, seven "Black" with the organization who stole the Gail, Seven Red with the Clocktower, various freelancers, and Shirou Kotomine as a representative of the Church. They have compounded the errors of the three previous Grail Wars which led to no one winnnign by upping the number of Servants and having an "alliance" of seven Servants and Masters on their side. ........... Utter Fucking Stupidity, this will lead to backstabbing and likely the collapse of their own organization as it's most talented individuals try to murder each other in order to win the Grail War, as well as fight off the other Masters and Servants.

4. Yggdramillenia, the group which stole the Grail has idiots as masters. A major examples are the guy who told Siegfried "shut up unless you have to use your Noble Phantasm", ignoring the fact that Servants can resist the effects of Command Seals temporarily and the fact that he is pissing off a nigh invincible killing machine. Another example is the leader of the group, the man who fifty years prior stole the Greater Grail. He summoned the Apocrypha version of Vlad Tepes Dracula, a man well known for not tolerating any insult to his person, in Transylvania where by the nature of Servants he will be at his strongest. Keep in mind the Grail War in this setting takes place in Transylvania. One wrong move and Dracula will fucking paste the man.

Oh and they lost their sides Assassin class Servant when Loli Jack the Ripper killed the Magus who summoned her and adopted the prostitute he was living with (and planning to kill) as her Master and surrogate mother.

Well this looks like a very interesting Train Wreck in the making. I can't wait to get a full translation of the first novel.

Highlights will include Red Saber (Mordred) summoned as a Servant by a freelance shotgun wielding Necromancer, the legendary centaur Chiron (who taught Heracles and other legendary Greek Heroes) as Black Archer, and Jean D'Arc as Ruler overseeing the whole affair.

Also Black Caster is Solomon ibn Gabirol a legendary Jewish Philosopher who was a major force behind Neo Platonic theory (which espouses the use of magic) and reconciled it with Jewish mysticism. He seems quite interesting. And he looks pretty cool as well.

He looks like he's been taking too much fashion advice from Gilgamesh. Of course, there being no Gilgamesh in said story makes that a bit ... difficult, but I stand by my belief. Those earrings are just pure Gil. And the haircut wouldn't be out of place of the King of Uruk.

When you think of Solomon, your image of him would generally be wise older dude/demon summoner. Something like Doctor Strange....

Not a ZERO cosplayer:

The new replacement servant designs have generally been much FAIL for me as well. For example, this is Chiron & Achilles:

Compared to the original F/A servants that were scrapped like Benkei, Kintoki and Saint George....they reek of attempts to pull in the Yaoi fangirls with a gayish rival Teacher/Student angle. :headbanger:

That is Solomon ibn Gabirol, not King Solomon.

Well...I've been reading a translation of the first chapter, and it sort of explains why there are 14 servants instead of the usual 7 servants.

It seems that when the clock tower caught wind of Yggdramillenia's betrayal and the location of the greater grail, they sent a brigade of 50 elite enforcers to try and secure it. The brigade was naturally massacred in short order by a single servant.

A lone enforcer barely managed to escape with his life and located the greater grail....but he was either too injured or incapable to retrieve it himself. So he instead activated a sub-routine in the grail system that states that:

"Even though the possibility is close to zero, if a situation arose whereby all 7 servants somehow fall under a single faction/rule....then as a counter-measure, the grail will redistribute new command seals to 7 new masters to summon 7 additional servants".

Posted this on BL....so I thought it would be remiss of me not to do so here as well. (WARNING! spoilers for volume 2 of Fate/Apocrypha. Turn back now if you don't wanna be spoiled)

...

...

...

...

...

Anyway, recent spoilers have revealed that the true identity of Kotomine Shirou as...

...this dude:

a.k.a. The Japanese Christian rebel/saint (and all around popular go to historical figure to play antagonist in nippon pop culture) Amakusa Shiro Tokisada.

Apparently, he was a servant summoned during the 3rd HGW who gained a physical body at the end the war in the Apocrypha timeline.

It appears that we have been well and truly trolled my friends....
