Hey since this is part of Type moon thought I'd create a thread for it and since the manga is still being released.

currently the manga is at chapter 16 with one being released a month on Mangahere.com

This third series of fate illya definitely shows the twisted sort of people that get involved in the grail war. Erika the ainsworth's daughter asks innocently with no malice to brainwash and later put her mind into a doll and give Illy'as body a pseudo personality. A scary thought that they can do that so easily.

Sorry for double posting but I wanted this to be separate.

I was wondering what people thought of the Fate/Kaleid Prisma Illya manga.

agreed not the best thing though it had some good points just the way they were used and the plot unfolded could have been much better. Dre is not too bad with the promise of madness to come from the ainsworth's. Then again loli that can turn her arms huge, wields a giant hammer and can call thunder from the sky is bound to be good, if nothing else because it is one sided. The hammer loli in Dre and her female knight partner bear resemblance to Signum, and Vita from magical girl Nanoha.

So, necro, but holy shit. Holy shit, that is a hell of a chapter. Chapter 23.

Is it strange that after this, I feel a kind of a belligerent sexual tension ship between this world's Shirou and Angelica? Since he had to have gotten those Noble Phantasms from somewhere, and she uses the Gilgamesh card, but she never killed him and kind of seemed like the main one keeping him prisoner.

So I'm not the only one that thought that it was weird they left Miyu's brother - pretty much THE biggest thread to their plan - alive and keep them prisoner.

Gil also talked about how he always wanted to meet him "in person". Seems pretty likely to me that he was how she lost the card in the first place and why it ended up in Illya's dimension.

Dear god, how much more wonderfully ridiculous can this manga get?

Sakura Lancelot is the current limit.

Is it the genuine Sakura or maybe one of those Alter Ego avatars?

The fact that she specifically called him Senpai suggests it's actually a Sakura. One of the favorite theories I've seen is that it came down to a "pick which Grail Vessel you save," and he picked Miyu over her, so she went crazier.

Whelp, I got into this after seeing a picture of Miyu!Shirou kick all sorts of butt, and I stayed because I saw Bazett beating on little girls and still found myself intrigued by her ruthlessness, so I'm here now for the remaining fights. As for the Sakura, honestly I think they made her like that through brainwashing solely to screw with Shirou.

I seriously doubt they brained washed her for solely screwing with shiro considering the little hammer demon and that cold swords woman, can't remember their names, seem pretty capable of dealing with shiro. Plus SHiro wasn't aware of this till now. Plus they were confident they had him.

I have several theories about why they brought Sakura in.

First that she had something to offer being a magus and all.

second they were testing different card summons like how gilgamesh still has his ego compared to the others and is infected with madness.

the third reason is that this is the Holy Grail War and that 7 masters are required if nothing else, and Sakura is one. Granted we don't know the rules of this grail war.

Regardless chapter 26 at least shows that Sakura was brainwashed or broken by the ainsworths and that we are going to hate them when it is revealed how.

I am onboard with Tanaka, the ainsworths must die, at least Julian I mean his sister is soiled rotten and no clue what normal life is, julian pretends to be the father and seems more concerned on how his legend is made rather than saving the world or how it i done.

Julian lesser version than Shiniji.

THere are two people who are still surrounded in complete mystery, the ramen cook who made the spicy miapo, and Tanaka. WHo is the Spicy miapo cook and what is his connection to all this.

He's Kotomine. He's probably looking to get in on it somehow and trump them all.

Well the manga updated to Chapter 32, and I have to say that I am really loving the Miyu!Shirou flashback arc, I feel this is a fresh take on the character, and I feel like this is a better take on HF. I hope we get to see the last Holy Grail War in the next flashback, and how this Shirou managed to win the war and send Miyu to Illya's world using the seven class cards.

There was a Grail War?

I just thought they tried to kidnap her over and over until Shirou decided to go badass... unlike Ilya's. Having parents has softened him.

When Julian started the current 'Grail War' he called it the sixth. I think it comes down to a different classification for grail war than you might be thinking. It's a fight for the use of a grail so it's a grail war basically.

I'm pretty sure he was never hardened at all to begin with. And it's not like he was ever given even the shadow of an opportunity, seeing as Kiri and Iri made sure he knew nothing of magecraft.

Does Ilya's Shirou even dream of becoming a super hero at all ?

Pretty sure he has SOME kind of motivation considering the BAR scene was showcased in an interlude.

That said I only liked this spin-off for the LULZ harem comedy of the Shirouettes and when there was a hint that Kid Gil was going to steal Ilya's heart again (metaphorically).

Recent happening were pretty meh. I like the artists god avatar manga much more.
