Father Figure

You know, we've talked about various advisors, animal companions and husbands for Usagi....but what about her actual father or a surrogate that watches over her in her Sailor form. I mean I don't think I've ever heard or seen her Moon Kingdom father mentioned. (Though I'm sure Seiya knows the truth of the matter)

So I propose that the following people are her Father/Father Figure and that they've survived/been reborn into her new life.

Corvo Attano from Dishonored.

Corvo was already a bad ass bodyguard before the Outsider gave him supernatural abilities. Imagine a universe where he sees his wife, daughter and their Kingdom crumble and is given the chance to see them again by the Outsider. How would he react to the trials his daughter must face. Would he intervene and if he did, what would be the result.

His wife and daughter are slain, but in the sands of his fallen kingdom he finds a dagger that will allow him to cross the vast gulf of time to find his beloved ladies born into a new life...

then again..

Perhaps someone with journalistic talent would be better.

Hmmm... father figure from Anime/Manga or Sci Fi...

Makoto Mizuhara (El Hazard)?

Souskae Sagura (Full Metal Panic)?

Kaze (Kaaze no Stigma)?

Parn post series (Record of the Lodoss Wars)?

Ranma Saotome (Ranma 1/2)?

John Sheridan (Babylon 5)?

Paul Atrades (Dune)?

Malcomb Reynolds (Firefly)?

James Bond (James Bond 007)?

My main issue is anyone I can think of would also have insisted on changing Usagi or not so much changing them directly but indirectly...

So it would depend I guess on whether the father figure accomplished all his exploits and banged Queen Serenity in the same life, or if he did all his badass stunts after he was reborn. Corvo, for example, could presumably have become unaging and then left his backwater planet after they discovered spaceships or the Silver Millenium found them and brought them into their fold as a colony planet or something. Of course, then he has to go out in a badass way against Beryl and crew.

That's not a father figure, that's a straight-up father! And my God, man, don't you know what you're suggesting? A famous figure that knows how to fight monsters and goes around screwing queens?

...You fool! Don't you hear it? You summoned him!

Also, what's that one fic with the God-Emperor of Man pre-Horus Heresy acting as Serenity's father? She gets transported across dimensions or something like that IIRC.

I don't recall the details, but it seemd liked Serenity had been reborn after her past exploits (could work since 40K is so far in the future it's almost frightening) and the Emperor took her in under his wing.

Lovehammer. There's a few fics based on it, one of which is quite good, but hadn't been updated in a long time, last I checked.

*goes looking*

Lovehammer: Sailor Moon 40k

Since WH40k is not Grimdark enough, why not make it even more Grimdark? Cue in the Sailor Senshi. It is more crazy than it sounds. Not a crack fic. Formatted Chapters, now finally working on , too; Chapter 9 displayed as 10 contains new content.

Also, there's several in the SM/WH40K Crossovers section on FF.net. Even more, if you set Fiction Rating to 'All'.

Bpen also has one called The Shattering of Serenity, he says it's next up on his update list as well.

Spartan of the WildC.A.T.s Would make a better father figure/advisor. I mean the war with the daemonites is mostly over, his company is trying to improve the life of all humanity and he has a lot of expierence fighting wars. Usagi could do worse in an advisor. For this story, though, I wonder if it would be better to have her meet him early in her career or at some point after her adventures but before the rise of her future Kingdom.

I have been trying for sometime to find a plausible way to bring The bearer of the Darkness and the Sailor Senshi together. I like the idea that in a past life Jackie was the Queens spymaster, and his self loathing in this life is partially a hold over from the last one. His Queen and unofficial daughter died because he failed to see the enemy coming. That sorrow and need to control make him the perfect bearer for the Darkness.

And now, he has a chance to get his little girl back, or at least ensure NOTHING ever hurts her again.

and yes I still want this

to happen as it'll give Usagi a little sister whose also the codex for the universe (long story)
