Femslash fanfiction research

#1
Hello!
I'm new to the forum so I'm not totally sure how it works, but I thought I'd post here and see how it goes!
I’m doing qualitative research into femslash fanfiction for my sociology masters dissertation and I’m looking for people who are willing to be interviewed about their experiences reading or writing femslash.
I’m researching why people read and write femslash, and what impact reading and writing it has on their understanding of sexuality (their own and others’).
Interviews would be around 45 minutes long, they will be online (or if you happen to be in my area (Glasgow, UK), at a location that’s convenient for you) and will be quite unstructured but revolving around the points above. I’d also be recording the audio of the interviews.
I’m hoping to have interviews completed by the end of July 2019, so if you’re interested and free between now and then, or have any other questions, please contact 2287231w@student.gla.ac.uk, or reply to this post.
Please note that you must be over 18 to participate.
Thank you!

This particular board trends older and male and pretty heterosexual compared to fanfic as a subculture generally, but more importantly... it's pretty quiet, there's not a lot of posts happening.

You might have better luck at Sufficient Velocity, which is both significantly more active, and is expressly welcoming to nonbinary gendered people, as a sort of moral mission to the board. Uh, just be careful about the perception of coming in as an outsider and treating somebody elses' clubhouse as a fascinating terrarium full of specimens.

... I hesitate a bit, but maybe consider Questionable Questing as well? By comparison that place is expressly pornographic, so it's kind of the seedy deep end of this particular swimming pool. I trust you absolutely won't try to dox people though.

Good luck with your research.
