Ranma ½ Ferrets and Pigtails

Yuuno stammered desperately, ignoring the crashing trees in the background. "It's not that - husband? I don't - Why? How?"

"Hmm." Her voice sent a wave of hot air into his ear. "You have invaded my home, defeated my guards and made off with my person. The only thing left is for you to claim me as any man would a willing woman."

Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it!

Yuuno tried desperately to think through the Jed's mantra, before he felt Akta's tongue lick the shell of his ear. "I-"

There was another sharp, thunderous crack and suddenly the Artanian's arms around him tightened, before she threw the both of them out of the way of a collapsing tree that smashed down right where they had been standing.

Stuck to the tree was Vaalea Kirkko. A long, loud string of obscenities was issuing from the bishop's mouth, somewhat muffled by the fact her head had crammed into an overly large knothole. Despite her flailing, she didn't seem to be able to get free. This might have been do to the fact that one arm had been secured to a branch at an awkward angle, jammed tight by a blackish gray bracelet.

"Let me tell you," Ranma grumbled, wandering into the clearing massaging one of his hands with the other, "dislocating your own hand to get one of those anti-magic bracelets off? Not a great idea." He paused and did a double take, before pointing at Akta, laying behind Yuuno. "Why is she still naked?"

"Ahà" Yuuno tried to find a way to explain, but came up empty, as he simply spread his hands. "I'm not sure?" The way he said it was definitely more of a question than a definitive statement. Uncomfortably glancing around the clearing, and trying to ignore the screaming zealot, Yuuno finally spotted the bundle of clothing Ranma had thrown him earlier, only a few feet away. "Ah! I'll just-"

He tried to roll a bit to get his arm to reach the clothing, but Akta clutched him back to her. "No," she hissed, "he cannot be allowed to see my face!"

Yuuno closed his eyes for a moment. "I cannot believe this." This was rapidly turning from vaguely erotic to headache inducing.

"Boy!" Akta had to yell into Yuuno's back to make herself heard for a moment as the bishop increased in pitch, nobody there really caring if she ever got out at the moment. "You will turn around. If you do not, I swear by all that is holy you won't see another dawn!"

"Yeah, yeah. I haven't been looking anyways, thanks. Can we hurry this up? Young Biddie over there is grating on my nerves."

There were an awkward few moments as Akta dressed and re-covered her face while the two men recounted that morning's adventures. At that point, Akta wasted little time in cutting the tree û but not before properly sealing the bracelet around the bishop's wrist. "I will see to it that the Bishop is delivered to her majesty, but I do not believe this will be enough to hold her."

"Heretics, all of you," the girl in question mumbled, having screamed herself hoarse.

She turned her gaze to Yuuno and her eyes softened. "You should avoid the palace for the moment, I think. We will speak later, Husband."

They both watched until she was out of sight. Finally, Ranma had to ask. "Husband?"

"Ià seem to have inadvertently carried out her people's marriage ceremony?" Yuuno was unsure.

Ranma shrugged. "Eh, it happens."

Yuuno blinked, having expected an entirely different reaction. "What?"

Ranma reached up and put a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry, I did something similar once. It's not the worst fate in the world. You just have do your best to make sure you're never alone with her again, and run as fast and as far as you can the moment you get the opportunity."

Yep. You definitely should have done her while you had the chance.

Yuuno just closed his eyes, wanting to break down and cry.

There. It's a little awkward, but I wrote my way out of my trap without the stupidity that does not exist above.

In other news, I'm an idiot, but now that I'm out of this hole, maybe I can get some real work done on it.

So...Akta is kind of like Shampoo only she goes after Yuuno instead of Ranma?

It could be hilarious if all members of Yuuno's "harem" are all expies of Ranma's former fiancÚes. Ranma could give (what he believes to be) sagely advice to Yuuno and stuff.

As for developing Akta to above a side-character. Well, it could be interesting, especially if she shows up in 'Home' and interacts with Nanoha.

Slightly off topic, but what spells does Ranma have so far? So far, he can:

-boost himself in one direction (Arc Impulse, IIRC)
-create a miniature black hole
-blast an opponent in one direction (like he did in training)

I was thinking that maybe Ranma could use the Pressure Canon from 'Guyver' since it's also gravity based.

There's also the Gravitational Beam Emitter from Blame!, but I guess it's too powerful for this setting.

On a different note, what would you say about a one-shot crossover collaboration Neverwhere? Between your story and mine!

I'd like to see it! :D

Considering the differences in the relationships between Ranma and the Nanoha cast in both stories that'd certainly be interesting. Especially Pervert!Nanoha meeting Angry!Nanoha from Home.

I know NCM hasn't said yes yet, but I wonder from what point in both stories the characters would be coming from.

They should be from the same point in the time line... so it looks like you have some writing to do Lost Star. :evil2:

Between Home and MGLN 1/2? Or MGLN 1/2 and Ferret and Pigtails?

Either way: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Last I checked from NCM's facts about Ranma from this universe, anyone who engages in personal close combat with Ranma will get demolished, as seen by what happened to Fate.

MId-range and long-range was apparently the way to go, or bind him. I don't know how long that would last though. Any more stuff NCM?

Hmm. Ranma *can* burst out of most binds given half a chance, the ones from his manacle included, but he usually doesn't consider it worth the effort.

Ranma's abilities include anti-gravity fields, either on himself, enemies, or objects, miniature black holes, and combinations of the two ala his grav bomb. Anything else would require finer control over his magics than he has right now, as evidenced by the fact that he can't even produce a low enough anti-grav aura for true flight. These things will change, of course, mostly after FH, with whom he can manage far more devastating manuevers.

Ranma hissed. "What?"

Yuuno nodded miserably. "That's what I said." He'd just gotten done introducing Ranma to Jed and telling Ranma about his last 'day' (ommiting the time travel for safety's sake) and just what would happen if the Viahtaa was used to its full potential. It wasn't a good thought.

"Well," Ranma grimaced, "we can't just leave that sort of thing hanging around. I know you're trying not to upset the locals too much û say nothing of your wife-"

"See," Interrupted Jed, "You totally should have dragged her into the woods while you had the chance. She was practically begging you for it."

Yuuno's eye twitched. Ranma hadn't let up on messing with him over that one. It was getting more than a little annoying, but the worst part of it was that every time Ranma said something, Jed would complain about how he hadn't slept with her.

"Yes, yes," Ranma interrupted, "but that's neither here nor there. We have to figure out some way to get the Viahtaa out of the palace vault. Preferably without upsetting the locals too much." He paused. "Well, too much more anyway."

Yuuno nodded. "Thank you. Now, we can't just go in magic blazing and cutting down everything in sight, so we'll have to sneak in."

Ranma looked at his friend doubtfully. "Are you sure you're up for that? You don't exactly strike me as the sneaky type."

"I'm not," Yuuno shrugged, "not usually, anyway. But in my ferret form I'm small and quiet as a matter of course."

"Ferret... Ferret... Why does that sound so familiar?" The pig-tailed boy scratched his head as he pondered.

"It was probably all over in the temple you were held in," Yuuno guessed. "The Hellig believe that their god, Lider, takes the form of a blue ferret."

Ranma arched an eyebrow. "What? None of the other ferrets on this planet are blue?"

Yuuno shook his head. "There are no ferrets on the planet at all. One more example of outside interference, I guess."

Ranma nodded absently, staring at Yuuno intensly as he did so. "Right. Well, even if we can sneak in, it's not like we can just politely ask them to open the vualt. We need to get them to do it for us."

Getting a bit nervous, Yuuno asked the obvious question. "And how do we do that?"

Ranma's face developed the kind of grin that would have made Happosai wet himself. "Relax. I have a plan."

"Oh god."

---

"That will be all, captain." With a sigh, Anya Vonalzo dismissed her friend, and turned to her daughter. "Your thoughts?" It was a question asked in vain, but one she kept asking as a mother û in the hopes that her offspring would one day grow a brain. The issue with the Helig was turning into a nightmare. No û it had been one the entire time, even before the Bishop had been brought in that morning.

Herce sniffed. "Obviously the good captain is blinded. Be it her libido, or genuine false information, this is an outrage. Vaalea û The Bishop, I mean, would never do these things. Clearly it was the foreigners who placed the palace under that spell."

"Hey! I take offense to that!"

Doing a double take, queen and princess stopped in shock at seeing the boy lounging by the doors out of the room, one arm behind his back. How had they missed him? How had anyone?

Seeing the shocked gazes on their faces, Ranma decided to act before they could get their acts together and call for the guards. "Heya. Listen. Yuuno and I just wanted to say how sorry we are about this whole mess. We didn't mean for it to spiral out of control like that."

The Queen smiled sweetly at him. "I assume you are his young friend that was taken by the Helig. I'mà pleasedà to see you're unharmed."

"Uh, yeah." Ranma shrugged and continued. "Sure. Anyway, Yuuno and I were wondering if maybe there was anything you could do about that blasphemy-slash-infidel charge the Bishop chick has hanging over our heads. We'd kind of like to not be forced to hide out in the woods for the rest of our stay here."

"You poor thing!" The queen was looking at him with genuine concern now. "Did you have to stay there last night?"

Ranma shook his head, but didn't know why it would matter. "Nah, last night I was on some guy's roof."

"And where is Yuuno?" Herce cut in with a gleam in her eyes.

"He can't sneak as well as I can, so he's still out there. Anyway, we brought this as a piece offering." With that, Ranma brought out his hidden arm, to reveal a ferret. A bright blue ferret. It chirruped.

Anya and Herce's eyes bugged out. Finally, the queen recovered. "My, my. Mr. Scrya does seem to have a handle on finding things the church would want, doesn't he." She smiled at Ranma. "This is a most spectacular find. With it I'm sure we could convince the Bishop to do almost anything we wanted, right, daughter?"

Herce's eyes never left the ferret, a strange gleam in them. "Indeed, mother."

Rising from her throne, Anya moved down to accept the ferret from Ranma, but when she got close, she sniffed carefully, and arched a brow. "Herce, be a dear and take the ferret. I'm sure our dear Bishop would be delighted to know we have recovered the avatar of Lider himself."

As the princess took the disguised Yuuno off his hands, Ranma looked up into the Queen's smile. "As for you, young man, I must insist you stay for dinner. But before that, you must clean yourself. Let me show you the way."

There was something really strange, Ranma thought, about the way her hands played over his shoulders as she led him along.

And finally we start the most heavily hinted at part of Ferrets and Pigtails.

Appologies for the delay, but between snow, work, snow, two other writing projects, snow, some FFXIII, snow, a slight sickness relapse, and some snow, things got a little crazy down in Neverwhere Town.

Wait a tick.

I remember this.

It involved ancient ruins, a giant blue ferret, and a fight where the aforementioned ferret attempts to eat Ranma.

:) I can't wait to see how that turns out.

Also, no more specualtion on the secret agent Yuuno front? That is pretty interesting and would be great if reoccurs later.

no no more speculation on that, NOW we see an entire planet who would go to Holy War under Yuuno's command because he DOES change into a Ferrit.

Ah yes, this has been a helluva a year for snow. Lotsa roofs been damaged round here from people that didn't shovel em. Snow banks are getting big enough that some two lane roads are effectively one lane road nows. Be happy when it all melts and goes away.

Looking forward to the next bits; lets face it Ranmas plans ( no matter how well thought out ) always seem to go off in his face at some point or another :snigger:

it's not like we can just politely ask them to open the vualt
"vualt" should be "vault"

Ranma's plan will be amusing, especially if it ends with Yuuno being worshiped as a God.
---
And speaking of Ranma's combat potential. He's nigh unbeatable in close-combat once he has FH right? If he combines the Umi-Sen-ken with some sort of Invisibility (or stealth) spell from FH, wouldn't that let him get close to anyone?

Also, regarding black holes... maybe FH can be based off this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-dSfEUBV-8

Speaking of FH, what kind of form do you guys think it'll take ?

I'd say something like this except the staff is replaced by Gekkaja, no pistol, the armor is a mixture of black and red contrast to Nanoha who's outfit is mostly white and blue.

While I've said that FH's deactivated form will be a small silver crescent, I do know (but haven't said) what it's activated form will be. I honestly haven't given much thought to his barrier jacket. The above isn't *bad*, but it doesn't strike me as quite right for whatever reason.

My idea is kinda ...weird. Right in the "strange and certainly won't happen" category but it's kind of cool.

I though of it quite a while ago from a combination of Ranma's worry that the Manacle could explode if he used it to block an attack and that time you said that Nanoha and the other would leave Ranma for dead shortly before acquired FH (idea that you later decided you wouldn't follow upon I think. I'm really not sure).

Basic idea was that the Manacle does explode and cripple/destroy his arm in the process. And then FH manifest itself as a replacement made of magic charged ice whose high synchronization with Ranma (for obvious reason considering whose soul was use in FH's creation) allow him to use it just as well as his original arm.

Yeah. As I said, weird. It could be pretty badass too, 'cause then you get possibilities like the arm growing blades and the like.

Okay. For the last time. You people need to stay the hell out of my head. Seriously. That's not how Ranma looses the arm, but that is basically what happens.

Shit. Oh well. At least Ranma's capabilities once he's acquired it are still pretty much under wraps.

To be fair, the chances of Ranma losing his arm were quite high. The Manacle's obviously never going to come off legitimately since the general intends to have him die.

Does the arm stay lost? If it does I don't care why it happened Ranma, should be fucking killing some people when he comes back.

This.

Also, I think we've predicted it before, but I'll be damned if I go back and figure out where.
