I really like the idea that the elves might have basically installed backdoors on anything and everything they made for humans, with passwords that are obvious to any elf (or half elf) that happens to come along.

More to the point, they weren't originally made for human use. Humans usually took possession of elven properties if the elves abandoned them or felt it was too much trouble continuing to maintain them.

That is going to be usefull later. Also, there's some spelling mistakes that no one has pointed out yet. Mostly switching homonyms like "Too" for "two" or "to" and such. Spellcheck isn't infallible. Rogue Angles off Stan and all.
