Wait, I thought Felicia only married the Avatar. I dont think she can marry any other character, same with Reina and Scarlet.

Aaaah, I didnt know that. So I guess I'll marry either Rhajat or Scarlet. I m kinda sad you can't have a kid if you marry Rhajat as a female though (understandably).

Huh, guess I'm glad I A-ranked my Kaze then. His child is a girl named Midori with the unique skill called 'Lucky Charm' that adds 20% to all luck based skills...which Salvage Blow, Miracle, Profiteer, Good Fortune and (what quickly becomes useless) Future Sight are the only known skills for her to have.

Guess that means for that Azura on any path for the +4 Luck skill or Rinkah, a female Avatar with the Oni Savage class option or whoever A+ ranks with Rinkah to become a Blacksmith for Salvage Blow is a good choice for those without the DLC and needs a sort of stable, if small, source of income (total of 2100 gold per battle/challenge if you're lucky) without resorting to grinding like crazy for it.

Interesting enough, I maxed the luck of my MC and so far the highest he had was from being a Lonestar with 43 luck and the second highest (through the use of Friendship Seals as my MC's class option was Ninja) were both Basara and Falcon Knight at 36.

On my way to S-Rank ALL the Hoshiden female characters with my MC. I think I have two of the children left before I can decide on marrying Hana (or Reina/Scarlet so that Hana can either marry Jakob or Saizo just to see who produces a child between the three).

Stat caps are slightly lower in Fates than they were in Awakening, and I don't believe we have Limit Breaker to really make the crazy builds. What were your boon and bane?

Crashed headlong into Camilla's chapter. I'm not enjoying this map's gimmick (every turn everyone in one of three vertical paths is hit with ten damage), but all I need to do to win is sneak Ryoma or someone with the Dragon Spirit scroll over to Camilla, while keeping everyone else healed and alive. Need to stop being stupid about enemy placements and use those healing potions.

EDIT: Oh hey, the second "season" of DLC has been announced in Japan. More Scramble fanservice packs and a Future Past style DLC called Failed Revelations, where all the parents die and the kids wind up finishing the fight.

My boon was either for what I assume to be skill or luck and health was my bane...I think. Been a little too busy to recall properly.

And yay! I have just enough to get Revelation.

Beat Camilla's hell of a chapter, now onto a defense mission.

Okay so it says to kill the boss but it's clearly a defense mission what with the waves of enemies and the highly defensible rear position. I'm going to grab some stat boosting items and form a defensive wall of dragon Corrin, Silas and Rinkah, with Ryoma around to kill mages and Takumi killing anything that survives the wall.

Mostly unrelated, but I'm starting to really like the music in Fates. Some great stuff on every level, pre-battle to class change to background music. Lost In Thoughts All Alone is an excellent theme, which is doubly surprising since it's a vocal song.

Just noticed one of my dual units (Mozu and Felicia) was back at the throne from looking at my StreetPass results. Must have been when I was moving things around my place. Should be fixed now for the easy seize win again and also changed some of the available skills for Kaze, Silas, Felicia and probably Jakob.

Edit: Wow, some people I've encountered with rather low battle visits really hate to lose or are idiots. Some practically wall in their throne to delay enemy troops to the point of stupidity while others, while making it totally easy, don't have the farming items or any facility at all. I like a challenge as much as the next person, but not if they think like that as it's just plain annoying.

Either of you guys mess up Shiro's paralogue? I did, and didn't realize it was a mistake until I'd saved. Ahahaha.

Mitama's recruitment was also really hard... in general it just seems like the paralogues are much much harder than the main story; at least for Birthright anyway.

Considering that I was around chapter 18 or so of Birthright, Shiro was level 20 unpromoted against level 8 promoted units that can easily murder him, it was reload after reload after reload until I remembered I had Rescue Rods and got him out of there.

And yes, getting the children are a pain in the ass if you go after chapter 18. It's 'easier' before that point as you could have promoted units and the enemies don't.

Just beaten Birthright. Wow, parts of that I should have expected. Starting up Conquest right now.

Yeah, I didn't have any Rescues left in stock, so no Shiro until I play Revelation.

Just finished Conquest myself. It's a fun experience. The final chapter was a bit of a twist.

Finished Birthright while on vacation. Managed to fuck up Endgame's deployment so I lost Rinkah, Oboro, Azama and Kagero before I was ready to smack Garon around. Hex Staves really helped but I was still looking at a high 70s hit chance.

Didn't get most of the kids. Shigure and Kana were a twofer, and I married Kagero to Ryoma but didn't bother reachijg out to Shiro because I was ready to move on.

I actually really enjoyed Birthright. Some of the maps were fiendishly clever and the story had the flavor of the good parts of Game of Thrones. Unfortunately it's clear that some stuff was kept back for Revelations, but given what I've heard of Conquest's (excuse for a) story I think Birthright is probably the most complete of the three main stories.

Btw has anyone gotten Royale Royale yet? I wanna know if you can get the Dread Feather for the Dark Flyer if you play on the Birthright route. Since it said you can only get the item by using the conquest siblings

Minor mistake by A+ friendshipping Elise and Effie FYI. While Elise can gain Effie's Knight class, Effie already has the Troubadour class, thus she loses out. Better to A+ Effie with Mozu or Nyx for Archer or Dark Mage respectfully.

Too bad I didn't realize that after I saved at that point.

A+ is a one way street.

You selected to have Elise get A+ with Effie, giving Elise access to Knight. You can still choose a different A+ for Effie to select.

Unless you mean you already chose to have Effie A+ Elise back, in which case, oh well. Live and learn.

I thought Effie would pick up Elise's secondary class in that case? Only in the case of two charactwrs having ''exactly'' the same classes do you get in trouble.

Also, armedlord thank you kindly, I'm now rocking Aptitude on Conquest Corrin. Go ahead and respec as you like.

I have Effie as +A ranked with Elise, so yeah, live and learn.

Trust me Watashiwa, I checked several times. I'm getting the feeling they missed checking on that friendship as the friendship seal clearly goes to Troubadour. If you want to check for yourself, then by all means, go and see that I'm not being crazy here.

And also I had learned today about the Unit Logbook when you're in the castle. With the logbook, you can learn the skills of those who are logged in there like those who visited you or, when you beat the game, the five selected units. Looking at the cost though, it's 'easier' to just seize/defeat another person's Castle for the discount...however, the five people the game asks you to select after beating the game? You can learn ALL their skills and not just the five shown. For example, with enough money, I can buy all 20 of the skills I learned from my previous avatar if I chose to do so...so uh, technically you didn't need me to get that skill anymore.

...and I just realized I saved over my Hoshiden save with my Nohr one...shit. Now I can't go back and get the kids shacked up with each other. Also I just realized that Niles is a dude that can S rank with a male Avatar. Huh.

Edit: Incoming Bond unit...and I didn't notice that you turned into a girl. Double huh.

Ugh that's annoying. If that's the case then the Friendship Seal thing must work like that so you can change classes with a different, non-Heart Seal since those are limited until chapter 20.

Shacking up the kids is way more fun in Revelations since you have way more of them. Just... get them early, the paralogues scale with your story progress and there's a difficulty spike when the kids stop gaining power while the enemies keep going. Chapter 18 is the dead zone.

Niles and Rhajat are the gay options, they'll support with a same-gendered Corrin but are found in opposite versions (and Rhajat is a 2nd generation character at that).

Thanks a ton for the Logbook tip, I knew you could buy skills somehow but I had no idea it was tied to the Logbook. That thing was totally useless in Awakening so I never bothered looking at it in Fates.

Yup, playing Conquest as Corrine. Jakob's better than Felicia for most of the game unless you get idiotically lucky. Given that Conquest is harder I needed the edge.

Who's our new Bond Unit?

What are Bond Units?

Actually got around to visiting your castle Armed. Unit used was Korrin, from my Revelation path. Still pretty early on though, so I don't really have any good skills to offer.

Got loads of good ones in my Conquest/Birthright castles though.

You don't need to offer me skills as I tend to search for the ones who have them so that I can share them with you guys for the most part. All you need to do is gather gems/food from my castle, fight in my castle which is just you needing to seize as my troops shouldn't attack you and gathering the gems/food again during the fight. You get free stuff and easy to gain skills and I get to raise my fight counter.

Bond Units...well think of them like the kids, but their parents are from both avatars of different people who give each other enough accessories (consider them as the 'support rank' for the avatars) and the skills they gain their unique skills (let alone the ones that can be gained) are completely random. To put more simply, they are extra units that you have to build up.

Our Bond Unit Watashiwa is...Olive. Female, Unique skill Bloodthirst. which means she gains +4 to Str/Mag/Skill/Spd for one turn. The one I have has Aptitude, Lancebreaker and Elbow Room for skills. Get a Galeforce on her and watch her become a killing machine against the next unit.

Edited my team to add in Azura and gave her Astra, Aptitude, Pavise, Locktouch and Camaraderie as obtainable skills. come get them if you don't have them still. Also going nuts with the gold gaining DLC so I'm buying 16 of nearly every weapon that I can currently get in my castle so that I'll easily upgrade them to +4 weaponry and later on, to the max. Some of the castles I go to are usually stuck in the second stage of the smithy or Hoshiden types only so +4 is usually the nice medium of upgrades I can get. Nohr has it hard with it's default settings of limited non-dlc gold and such.

Extra characters you can earn by repeatedly visiting another player's castle. They can't support and start at level 1 but have higher than average stats, the heart seal classes of both Avatars involved, the last skill on both Avatar's list, and a random personal skill. Ours, for example, had Pyrotechnics, Draconic Hex and started as a Mercenary.

Sometimes i feel that the friendship class thing wasn't completely fleshed out. It annoys me that I have to be super careful in how each unit supports one another or else they might get an A+ that I don't want them to have.....

Yeah, I agree. It's a great idea but you need to be able to share more classes, or even choose what gets shared.

Anyway, I've been stuck on Conquest 12, AKA THAT FUCKING POT MISSION for the last week. FUCKING ninjas are driving me absolutely mad, what with the huge number of poison pots around. I'm going to give it a few more tries, then grind up a few levels. I really need to get Certain Hit on Arthur, his speed growths have not been kind.

12 Huh? Good to know what's going to happen to me whenever I get there. I should have updated my Arthur with the skill 'Lucky Seven', which is +20 hit/avo for seven turns if you think that would help you out.

Currently I've been literally farming for gold (with level 20 units and +4 weaponry tends to net a LOT of gold) and using that gold to buy as many Einherjar units I can so that I can buy the skills later on without having to fight some people who don't want to share and a lot of people REALLY don't want to share. It's like they don't want people to come to them for the bonus rewards. :hmm:

Also trying to remember which other castle code has multiple farms/gems...I know of one other, but I may have already visited it so I can't confirm ATM.
