Actually I just went in and finished it. The key is to blow up the pots using the Dragon Vein around turn 5, and have your units clustered around the beneficial medicine pots for stat boosts.

Be aware that you'll be handing Ryoma a hefty buff by doing this, but it's more than worth it to allow you full freedom of movement.

Though, to be honest, it won't be a problem for you since all the enemies are level 13.

I actually beat that mission by not using the DV. The way my characters had developed I couldn't handle the rush that occurs once all the pots were gone. Those Archers that are completely boxed in are dangerous.

So instead I left it alone, divided my force in two and broke only the pots I needed to. I killed every enemy aside from the late turn reinforcements that show up at the bottom.

On another note: I'm finding Revelation to be a bit of a joke so far. Maybe it's just that I've finally gotten good at FE, but I haven't really felt challenged by any of the maps yet (I'm at Ch.14). It is amusing how many characters just get thrown at you on this path so quickly though.

Huh, really? The map got loads easier for me as soon as they were out of the way--I had Arthur with S ranked Effie attacking Kagero and Saizo with a Hand Axe, then clumped everyone together and punched through the center. Didn't manage to kill all the archers either, but they're there to force you to push forward.

Revelations is the post-Conquest victory lap. It's nowhere near as hard but tries to be a bit more creative in map effects.

Just finished Conquest 15, and that was SO MUCH fun. I have a Dual Katana, so Corrine ignored every Blue attack that came her way--including most of the ninja stars (she was hit like TWICE), and I managed to take out the assholes with Seal [statistic] in a single combat. 10/10 map, would do again. The two between Reefer Madness and 15 were also fun without being dickish, though I had a character retreat on each map. Playing Conquest on Casual is good for my nerves, let me tell you.

Vanguard Dawn is an incredibly fun map. Short and sweet, and getting all the goodies requires you be fast and be good at positioning.

Silas as a Vanguard is wtf strong.

Helps that Vanguards get some of the best skills in the game, AND strength for days.

Also let me say that I'm crazy irritated that DLC skills can't be transferred across paths. Revelations (male) Corrin could really use Awakening.

That would be so overpowered... wish it could happen.

What characters make good Dark Fliers? I've yet to actually use one.

Anyone with high magic. Nyx, Elise and Leo on Conquest, Sakura, Orochi and Hayato on Birthright. Oh and Felicia too.

Switch Nyx out of Dark Mage ASAP, Nosferatu isn't worth the horrid growths and base stats she'll have. Reclass her back around total level 35 if you want the skills.

Oh, and Awakening is an awesome skill. Paired with with Vantage on Conquest female Corrin turns a great character into a god at half health. Just need Shurikenbreaker and I can waltz through the last couple chapters.

I'm guessing Ophelia would also make a good Dark Flier... but then again Ophelia is pretty much always good; especially with Elise as her mother.

Between Conquest and Birthright, Conquest definitely had the more fun final boss.

... 'kay, so chapter 17 is where Revelation decides to step up its game. Kind of annoying actually.

Bring it.

Just keep the retainers safe, they're the squishy ones.[hr]OKAY SO I FINISHED TP, BACK TO FIRE EMBLEM.

After staring at chapter 18, my unit's stats and levels, and giving up for far too long I finally switched Leo back to Dark Knighth and added Xander to my team. I steamrolled the chapter, didn't even have to burn an Enfeeble thanks to being able to knife-debuff Zola.

Chapter 19 doesn't look that bad... is what I said until I scrolled over the Pass using Kitsune. FUCK this map. Groups of 5 in a plus shape, Elise and Strategist (Inspiration!) Felicia in the middle with Mend staves. Niles and Kaze bring up the rear with anti-Beast weapons. Let's goooooo.

I steamrolled Conquest about half a day ago...let's say someone goes like a Samurai and the final boss wasn't who I was expecting. Also, I forgotten to S class Selena In Conquest so I did it in Revelations. Beaten up towards Chapter 15 and considering who to level up and rampage with.

The first mission in Revelations had just you, Felicia and Azura against Hoshiden Oni Savages, Samurai and Nohr Wyvern Riders and you have to beat their respective bosses within 5 turns so pairing up is a bad idea as Azura is good only for dancing at that point.

Second one had a gimmick of exploring a cave system where either you find the right path or you get teleported a little bit back with a wasted turn. The enemies drop chest keys so explore the entire area before seizing. You'll get a familiar reinforcement near the end of the area. I think I recall that although you have three units, there was a fourth spot that you can assign someone to. You can either buy a cheap character as backup or Felicia's/Azura's meatshield.

Third is straightfoward. Kill the boss...I think. You gain Kaze, Sakura and her retainers after.

Fourth: If you played Conquest, it's the same wind tribe fight map. Rinkah joins at the start. Hayato After.

Fifth: Ice covered the majority of the map. Can only fight with 5-6 people. Best to break all the ice to find enemies as they all drop loot. Takumi and his retainers join up after.

Izana dies from talking to ancient gods to help you out.

Sixth: Damn ninja spike trap. Saizo needs to be talked to for him, Orochi and Reina to join up. Kagero after.

Seventh: Out at Sea. Only fliers can move freely for several turns with your allies on four ships with three allies per ship. I recall axe wielders and mages on the ice and able to board your ships. Camilla and her group joins after.

Eight: Both Nohr and Hoshiden will attack you while you try to reach the boss in the upper central part of the map. If you feel lucky and want to end it quick, send Subaki with Felicia (as she's a healer that can fight back at least) hopefully wielding a Rescue Rod to bring two paired up units. There's debris that you can use to block or channel enemies near your starting point if you need time to do it slowly. If you just want exp, then be a prick and kill them all. Kaden and Keaton are your allies at the start.

Nine: Port Dia, with Elise and her group joining up at the start. They are mainly lower leveled compared to the enemies (level 5-7 vs level 10 or promoted mobs) and Elsie is needed alive to hire Benny and Charlotte with both at opposite ends of the map. Silas joins after.

Ten: Rainbow sage area. Shura appears as an enemy around second turn on the right side of the map. Needs your Avatar to talk for him to join. Nyx appears at the bottom I think at the third turn and requires to be talked by your Avatar.

Christ, I waited one chapter too long to grab the kids and suddenly the paralogues are really tough. I'm putting off the kitsune mission again to grab the second generation, all of whom are going to wait until I reach Conquest 22 for me to activate their Offspring Seals.

I really need to get back to my Revelation playthrough.... but Dark Souls 3...

Hrm, hmm, quite a conundrum.

Yeah, that Kitsune mission is kind of tough. I had to reset so many times doing it.

Wow, that sucks for you. In my current play-through of Revelations, I'm not getting the children as it's already nuts with all the troops you get from both sides. I also made the respective leaders of both sides marry the others little sister...for the odd mental laughs of said leaders trying to give the older brother version of 'The Speech' to the other leader.

Played that new DLC that came out today. You play only as Kana, Kiragi, Selkie, Hisame and Mitama. Yeah Hoshiden children. They are all level ten base class characters, but Kana and Kiragi have and can use the Noble Yato and Fujin Yumi respectively so they are the heavy hitter if you decide to use them that way. Kana also has a Kodachi. Hisame has 3 Katanas: Steel, Practice and Sunrise. Selkie has both the Beaststone and Beastrune. Mitama only has a Wane Festal...although I only recall using her as a mobile Lck Rally with free turn healing and only used the acquired Sun Festal from an enemy Maid when any unit was far too low on health for the most part.

In the DLC, the boss is locked in a room in the center of the map and the key(s) are on a pair of Knights at the top center of the map. Both wear Javelins while having a third knight between them who also has a Javelin and a Steel Lance. Anyways, the boss has a Wolfkin and two maids in that characters general area.

The left side of the map has two characters with a HP tonic and an Armorslayer drop on the upper left corner. Be careful of the one with the Armorslayer as that character uses a Killing Edge. Note that three Wyvern Riders appear at the second turn, at the bottom left corner so Kiragi is your best friend there.

The right side as that maid with the Sun Festal and a fighter with a Concoction. I can only recall a couple of fighters, lancers and a troubadour for that side and can't recall enemy reinforcements appearing.

Frankly I used Kana and Kiragi as the ranged units with Hisame dealing the death blows (mainly with Kana) and Selkie KINDA as the agro unit as her personal skill does deal damage per turn...provided that she isn't swarmed to death. Already mentioned how I used Mitama as she can heal two people for a little bit of health without using any Festals. When it came to the boss though, Selkie was the only one that can deal a fair amount of damage due to her skillset...provided that she isn't killed in one hit that is so give her the HP tonic and make sure to keep her HP up and paired up.

So the last part of the Fire Emblem Fates story DLC is out this week. Much like the main routes, the endgame battle theme is vocalized... except the singer is Shigure instead of Azura. The song is spectacular; Matt Mercer nails it.
