Bleach First Impression's

Tell me about your first impression of Bleach?
I guess mine was a slightly darker version of Naruto

My first impression was something between Naruto and Shaman King in terms of storyline, fighting and mythical elements. I kind of liked the first Karakura arc more than the rest of the series. It was pretty interesting to be introduced to the Bleach universe for the first time. The first arc was also less repetitive and didn't draw fights out for as long as the later arcs.

My first impression was probably somewhere along the lines of awe. Then it wore off and it became just another anime. Fiction is only impressive as long as you're immersed in it. When you're not paying attention it's just a cartoon.

I expected a fun high school manga about a kid fighting giant monsters. Then Byakuya and Renji came and I stopped having fun. <_<
