I want to see Tessa and Kaname's reactions. Specially if they decide it's time to kill Levy.

And this is why it is generally considered a bad idea to let hormonal teenage girls command military vessels. Because they will go on jealousy-induced killing sprees that ruin relations with regional powers and widespread criminal organizations.

To be fair (and because I'm kind of a Tessa fanboy) she probably wouldn't actually react like that. Probably.

Then again, if Tessa and Kaname are picking up on the loops subconsciously, however long with no resolution to the matter may have turned them at little... unhinged...

Yeah, just ignore my attempts at being serious, it's completely inappropriate for the loops anyway :p

Panic at the Time Loop

Hello there Vel, and no, sorry.

I am considering writing one though. Maybe. I'm still somewhat busy.

On the other hand, I'm far too much of a Tessa fanboy to just leave it at this Sousuke stuff. The world needs more Tessa.

Panic at the Time Loop

All are welcome to join in the zaniness with their own posts. The more, the merrier! But since I love leaving you all on cliffhangers, I'm moving to another loop.

-@-@-@-@-

It wasn't often that Sosuke allowed himself such a purposeful stride, keeping so tight a rein on his emotions that even his footsteps were calm and reserved. But considering that that over 80% of the crew was in the hallways behind him, it made things easier for what he was intending to do. The door to the bridge opened with a faint hiss, eyes becoming focused on him as he and his supporters made their way into view, weapons at the ready.

The staff was, understandably, taken aback by this gesture. "Sosuke, what are you doing?" Kalinin tried his best to keep his tone even, but the growl to his voice was unmistakable. Mardukas has interposed himself between the Captain and the band of hooligans, but Sagara's focused on the longtime colleague.

"This is a mutiny, sir."

"Why?"

"Because, with all due respect, I have found a flaw in the way our forces approach Amalgam and their affiliates. We stand to make ourselves vulnerable to their assault, while our attacks against them are primarily reactionary. And as we both know, sir, submarines are an insufficient location when it comes to a battle of attrition." Sasuke explained calmly. "And since it is unlikely that we would be given permission from MITHRIL's upper echelons, it seems logical that we should free ourselves from the command structure."

Andre cast a brief glance at the Captain, able to see the confusion in her eyes before turning his attention back to Sosuke. "So why are you here with armed soldiers?"

"So in the event that command does reclaim the vessel, you can truthfully say that the crew wrested control of the ship from the captain." As if to show how little interest he had in harming them, he took his sidearm and held it out for Kalinin to take.

"To put it bluntly, sir, we wish to become pirates. We already have a jolly roger prepared, and appropriately themed attire is optional."

Now the Russian was quirking an eyebrow, but found several of the crew indeed were already sporting bandannas and eyepatches. It was then that Tessa's voice faintly raised up over the din.

"Am I still be in charge?"

"There was no intent to actually take the position from you, ma'am. Merely the show of force for the sake of security cameras."

"I see. Then I can I have a pirate hat?"

"We already have one prepared, appropriately sized and quite extravagant, though we would like to pull to the nearest port for necessary rum procuring."

That was all the reason she needed, squirming around the flabbergasted Mardukas and walking up to Sosuke. "Very well." She nods and turned to the crew as they put aside their weapons. "...a...A.." She took a deep breath. "Avast me hearties! Prepare for war!" The crew dissolved into cheers and whoops, even as she turned to the teen soldier with a scowl. "You do know you will have to be punished for scaring me."

"I know, ma'am."

"Then you won't have any problem with being my wench, will you?"

"...*sigh*....I had a feeling you would say that."

He doesn't need to wear a dress to be her boy toy/personal rum dispenser at her beckon call ;)

Tho why am I picturing him dressed not unlike the Dread Pirate Roberts (at her insistence of course) :snigger:

Panic at the Time Loop

Sosuke had taken to his favorite hiding spot for this particular loop, taking a look at the small array of monitors that he had set up inside of the cockpit of the Arbalest. he could have used the primary displays, but he really didn't want to go through the hassle of anything outside suddenly cutting off the camera while he was analyzing the core of the Lambda Diver.

He learned his lesson after the last time he'd blown up the ship.

And even with the hatch to his Arm Slave closed, he could still hear the loud noises coming from the newest members of the ship. The captain was no doubt displeased with the selection, despite the apparent skill that was being displayed with programming and design that only another Whispered could truly appreciate. Not only was she recommended personally by Sagara, which spoke to everyone about the level of competence if someone as exacting as the Mithril agent personally recommended her.

But that was why he was currently holed away in the Arbalest, not even looking up when the AI was activated. "What are you doing, Sosuke?"

"I'm trying to map out potential power distribution capabilities of the Lambda Driver. With Nami-san's help, we should be able to complete it, and even come up with all kinds of upgradable possibilities." He explained, tapping the keyboard in his lap several times before turning to write the readings into his notepad.

"Before or after you loop, reload me, and realize we are back to square one?" Al countered, not appreciating the fact that his partner had to save his AI and memories with each loop. It was downright tiresome.

Not for the first time, Sosuke resisted the urge to roll his eyes at the AI's complaint. "I will see what I can do about trying to store the Arbalest, but that is simply beyond my abilities at the moment. Small items and such within a specific location, or would you rather be floating in void?" He glanced up at the screen like he was looking for a face, seemingly unaware of what was actually being displayed on the screen. The profanities and clothes ripping were barely even registering to him as he looked back down, then blinked.

"...you have been recording this, correct?"

'Affirmative."

"Good." With that said, he returned to work. He'd promised at least a realistic design for a flight/jump system or a chainsword, and now he had a noteworthy reason to accomplish it on time.

Panic at the Time Loop

She wouldn't stand for it! She simply wouldn't!

It was hard enough on poor Tessa's overtaxed mind when dealing with Kaname, and now after a brief vacation, her Sosuke comes back with a new pilot and...another WOMAN?!

Don't get her wrong. Nami had already demonstrated abilities that were well beyond the norm, and all it required was close proximity for her to realize she indeed was a fellow Whispered. It meant she had to be protected, but she wasn't oblivious to the obvious. She saw the glint in that red-haired tart's eyes when she looked at her scarred subordinate, the kind of awe that bordered on thge edge of a growing hunger. Well, she wasn't going to let her take a bite out of what was hers!

"I know, but why am I coming too?" Kaname asked, a small frown marring her features as she found herself being escorted by the Tessa to the hanger bay. Escorted wouldn't be the right word per say. More like...drawn into the growing vacuum that was her indignant rage.

"Because you have just as much stake in Sagara-san as I do." The Captain countered, spared a withering stare at the bluette when she blushed and fumbled her objections. "Don't start that now. If we don't stand up to Nami-san now, then there's no way either of us can win over Sosuke's heart!" The way she said it made Kaname visibly wince, but she could see the steeling resolve forming in the taller girl's eyes. That was all the confirmation that Tessa needed, nodding and turning around so fast her braid missed Kaname by less then an inch as she continued storming down the hall.

---

Their target was in sight, chatting away with Melissa Mao like they were old friends. She wouldn't have her subordinates subverted this easily, especially now that the white noise from their resonance made it all the harder for her to think straight. Three Whispered in the same room had never really happened before, and the added sensorium was putting all three ladies on edge.

But that didn't matter! Teletha Tessa Testarossa wouldn't back down!

"Nami-san, I'd like to have a word with you please." She tried to put it as delicately as she could, her field of vision barely even registering that Mao was already slithering back with a smirk curling her lips.

"Yeah Captain? What can I do for you?" Nami asked, though she already knew the answer. Again, shared resonance was a bitch.

"It's about Sagara-kun."

"Ah, you mean Sosuke."

"D-Don't address him so casually, especially when he's your superior."

"So I should call him Sagara-kun while he's on top? I'll remember that."

"What?! What d-do you mean by that?"

The two paused to look at Chidori, who had finally joined in the conversation and moved to the Captain's side, unintentionally forming a pyramid formation while the crew began to gather. They were completely oblivious to anything else in the ship, which would prove to be their undoing.

"Exactly what I said. Does that mean he has to call me Nami-san when I'm ontop?"

"As if he'll ever say something like that!"

"Why are we even talking about this?"

"Because I'm not giving him up!" The two shouted at Kaname, seeming to ignore the way her rage began to build. or the way that Mao leaned over to whisper into Kaname's ear.

"That's not right, is it? You have just as much right to him, and to let him choose who he wants."

"...you're right, voice! He should be able to choose me!" She snapped, then clapped her hands over her mouth.

As the Captain gaped at the open admission, Mao moved in to start fanning the flames of her Captain's heart. "Now she's just trying to take Sosuke away too, trying to take advantage of his good nature. You should take him...for his own protection."

"Of course! Saving my Sosuke from these two is my only option!"

"Ah, so it's 'Sosuke' now? Not 'Sagara-kun'? How familiar." Nami chided, smirk growing as Mao moved to the red-heads' side.

"That's cause these little girls don't know better. You're much more mature, and you know what you want, right?"

"The voice is the only one talking sense. I know what I want, and what I want is Sosuke!" She practically shouted, Kaname and Tessa rounding their attention to her.

Oh it was on.

There was some unspoken signal before the trio lunged like wildcats, screaming obscenities and trashtalk as they devolved into scratching, hairpulling, and lots of clothes being ripped off. Commander Mardukas, diligent XO that he was, reached in to try and stop the madness. He ended up losing a sleeve before he knew it, which Kaname tried to stuff down Nami's throat. It was the only indicator he had to back away, and let Weber and the others take their pictures and etc.

Of course, Kurtz was moved to tears by now. "God...I wish I was that bastard...but I'm just so proud of him!" He used a sleeve to wipe at his manly tears of joy, though his camera never stopped recording the awesomeness, unaware that Al was doing the same.

For posterity, of course.

Remember, those three are all Whispered, and as a result cannot remember the loops. So they have to come to a new understanding each iteration.

Panic at the Time Loop

True, but also makes it hard for them to remember things like this too...

-@-@-@-@-

"It's quite simple." Leonard Testarossa said calmly, slowly rising up from his chair. "I've come to rescue you, Kaname Chidori."

He couldn't help but smirk alittle more as he saw the way Sosuke moved more in the door, making himself more of a target while limiting the amount of view he had of his dear Kaname. With her at his side, perhaps he could finally understand what's been going on. To be honest, he wasn't sure how much more he could stand, considering he had no idea what to do. All his intellect, but every time he found himself working, it felt like he had done it all before. It was infuriating like he was sure none could truly understand, save a fellow Whispered.

He's stepped up his attempts to find any, but no fruit has been bore. And so he was forced to make his move earlier then he'd have preferred to claiming Kaname. Perhaps it would give him the leverage he needed to sway his sister to his side as well, away from that silly little organization she was apart of. And with their ability combined, anything was possible!

But that meant he had to deal with this mongrel first...oh my! All this internal monologue and exposition, which has been happening quite abit recently, and he wasn't paying attention to the neanderthal. How ill mannered.

"I'm sure you're certain you're doing the right thing, but the fact is you're nothing but a pet for Mithril, like how Sagara is a pet for you. But do you know this mongrel is a cold-blooded killer?" Smiled at the way the thug's sneer deepened, once again about to take a shot before he saw Chidori's hand grab his shoulder before shaking her head. At least she had some sense. "You see? He'd kill me right now if he thought he could get away with it. To him, obstacles are to be eliminated."

"Chidori-san.." Sosuke trailed off, a small frown on his lips as they both heard her soft voice speak up.

"..I.....I'll go.." The two men gasped softly at that before she stepped away from her meat shield, taking a hesitant step towards Leonard.

She finally understood! Leonard couldn't stop himself from smiling and meeting her halfway, seeming ignorant of Sagara's growing rage as he embraced her, feeling her slightly cold body against his own. Poor thing has been out all day in that delightfully tiny skirt. And even though he couldn't sense her thoughts through their resonance, no doubt due to that incredibly strong will of hers, he new she understood his feelings.

Which wasn't shared by Sagara, who decided to start shooting, of all things! The memory cloth didn't need a word to cocoon it self around Leonard and Chidori, the man's arms moving around her as well. The man-sized AS outside immediately began to fire as well, Leonard never taking his eyes off where the scrambling soldier had gone. "So you finally turn on your betters, eh Sagara? It simply shows Chidori who the real monster is!" He continued to backpedal, allowing the Alastor to move infront of him and Kaname as he began backing towards the window.

"So it was a success then?"

The way Sosuke's voice was so suddenly calm sent a shiver down his spine, even as the Alastor's machine gun stopped firing. "What was?" He frowned, Kaname shivering alittle and holding him tighter. So tight, he was finding it hard to breathe.

And when she finally tilted her head up to look at him, looking at brown lenses rather then eyes, he understood.

"Prototype Micro Infiltration AS, controlled by a basic AI system." Sosuke's voice was so calm it galled him. "I call it 'Trojan', for lack of a more appropriate name."

"...I see. So where is Kaname? Reports from our observers were that she was indeed in school with you."

"She's safe."

----

"I'LL GET YOU FOR THIS, YOU LUNATIC!!!" Kaname screamed, her hands tied to the chair, while her legs kicked at the school closet door. He'd rambled on about something to try and protect her, and then on about that...fucking mannequin he had with him and 'making sure no one suspect it wasn't her'.

She could respect that, but tying her up? She was going to cut off his balls and keep them on her mantle!

----

"So Mithril forced my sister create such this automaton?"

"It's my design, actually."

Now that broke Leonard's calm veneer, replacing it with a sudden snarl. "Impossible! A lesser lifeform like you can't create something like this! It's beyond you!"

"I will admit, I borrowed some of the basic motor designs from your Alastor designs, but the internal systems are indeed from my notes and research."

"And when did you get designs of my machines?"

"When you gave them to me."

The way he said that, something sparked in the back of his mind, a hard shudder going through him. He'd never spoken like this with the primate before, much less allowed him to even glance at the specifications of his AS units. But, something told him it wasn't impossible, that it held some grain of truth to it. "And what do you want from me now?"

He blinked when Sagara actually moved into the doorway, no weapon in his hands. "To continue our research. I have been working in conjunction with you on and off for longer then you are able to truly know. I thought that a demonstration of what we've manged to create together would help make it easier to accept."

Leonard finally from Sosuke to the automaton that was holding him, probably able to snap his spine if it was ordered to. "Then why did you shoot?"

"To distract your senses. Obviously your primary focus would be on self-preservation, not on the subtle differences between Trojan and the real Chidori-san."

For the first time he was ever aware of, Leonard Testarossa allowed himself a moment to be genuinely impressed by this monkey's intellect. "And what if I decide to kill you instead?"

"Aside from her abdomen being packed with enough C4 to level this entire floor?"

Well...so much for just killing him for the technology. Another iota of respect was garnered to the soldier. "Alright then. Call of your pet and we can get to business." As Sosuke nodded and stepped forward, several notepads suddenly tucked under his arm.

Well, this promised to be most interesting. "Are you sure we can't capture the real Chidori too?"

"Negative."

"Awwww..."

There needs to be one where Sousuke gives Leonard a The Reason You Suck Speech, where he points out that even if Leonard has never killed anyone in person, his actions have caused or nearly caused far more deaths than Sousuke has - starting with hiring Gauron for the hijacking plan, which involved murdering 400 people to cover up the abduction of one.

Definitely working on that one, actually. Doing abit of a Leonard montage before I ponder about breaking the universe yet or not.

And as expected, the 'you suck' speech scene will end in at least 3 explosions. I feel I haven't put enough of them in for a FMP proper.

"Must I wear the moustache?"

"Of course! It's part of the awesomeness."

"Very well."

Kurtz nodded and turned back to the camera. "Welcome back, everybody! Today we're gonna bust the myths about C4. We have a letter here from a member of the ol' TDD about the last loop we referred to on our show."

"You mean the one prior to this loop, or the last loop that was written about?" Sosuke couldn't help but ask, brushing the luxurious mustache he's groomed for this loop.

"Dude, leave the 4th wall alone! We have other walls to blow up."

"Affirmative."

"Now that we're back on track, our first myth on C4 is going to be about shaping charges."

"Correct. We will be demonstrating that with properly placed explosive, we can create actual shapes in the remains."

Weber stopped and looked over to Sosuke. "I thought we were going to blow like smiley faces into the conveniently placed cement wall behind us." He tried to whisper.

Sosuke responded with a casual shrug. "I like my version better. The charges have all been arranged that after the explosion, then ensuing rubble will arranged into a smiley face."

"Seriously?"

"Affirmative."

"....we have gotta see this!"

Panic at the Time Loop

Commanded Kalinin checked his watch for the third time in ten minutes, expression a mix of a concern, impatience, and curiosity as he looked to the young man who had finished putting on civilian clothes. Thankfully, it was Kurz that broke the silence by asking the necessary question.

"Alright Sosuke, can you finally tell us why you didn't want us chasing after the Captain? And had us waste ten minutes puttin' on our civvies?"

The young man in question was calmly checking the magazine he was putting into his pistol before tucking it into the back of his pants. "It's quite simple, really. By the time we get to where we need to be, she will most likely be there as well." This seemed answer enough for him, preparing to leave with the hand selected group that was going to retrieve Captain Tessa after she'd berthed the TDD at the piers of Roanapur and run out screaming bloody murder.

"....huh?"

Sosuke suppressed the urge to sigh before turning around to look at the assembled group. "The Captain does not know where to go here, so it means she will spend the first 5 minutes of her arrival here inquiring to the dock master about the location of Revy-san. She is most likely at the Yellow Flag at this hour, which means he must try and give her directions. She will spend the next 10 minutes attempting to navigate the city based on said directions." He made sure everyone understood the basic rundown before continuing. "In those 10 minutes, she will most likely fend off the various purse snatchers and muggers within the vicinity, who will be attracted to her by the military uniform she's flagrantly wearing out in the open."

"By then, Hotel Moscow will most likely be getting off the phone with the dock master, who is an informant to the various crime syndicates. He will have informed them of her interest in Revy-san, and in approximately 20 to 25 minutes after leaving the TDD, she will be picked up in one of their vehicles and taken to their base. If we get there on time, which will be 25 to 30 minutes on foot, we can prevent the Captain from getting tortured or sold into the slave market."

The resounding silence seemed to confuse the young man. "What?"

"How do you have such a definitive time estimation, Sagara?" Commander Kalinin couldn't help but be curious about what made the young man so sure about the scenario.

"This is Roanapur. That's how it always happens."

With that explained, Sosuke turned around and began to lead the expedition topside. With any luck, they could get something to eat while they were going to rescue the Captain from certain horrors.

Panic at the Time Loop

I know it's been awhile since I put up a new post, but I blame my laptop. Poor thing had an accident quite literally on the day of my last post on March 30th, and I haven't gotten it back from the fixers yet. All my other ideas were on that one, so had to pretty much ad-lib one of those ideas for now off the friend's laptop that I've been using.

And besides, I figured it'd help me get the ideas out of me head again if I actually put some to work.

-------

"It seems they got here faster then expected, Sagara."

"The when is of no consequence. What matters is that we can complete the breach before their inevitable interruption. The location of your troops?"

"In all the potential insertion points you plotted out."

"The backup generators?"

"Already prepared. We can even use them to boost the signal."

"Good. Then prepare the signal through the cortex for the uplink."

"....."

"You're still mad about that? It's not even yours."

"It's the principle of the thing!"

"If you insist." Sosuke rolled his eyes and adjusted his goggles, seeming to ignore the way the ceiling shook with the exchange of explosives and weapons fire. Hollow missiles to deep strike into the facility? They must be desperate. But he didn't take his hands off the console, fingers rapidly tapping the necessary command codes to keep the system regulated. These breaches put significant strain on the vessel, but the real issue was using the material to help put all the information into proper context.

Without it, all that they'd get for their trouble was nightmares.

Biting back the recollection of the scarring first failure, Sagara redoubled his efforts, even as the sounds of fighting grew closer. No...Not yet! "How much longer?"

"Ten minutes!"

"Activate the backup generators. We need this active in five."

"That's impossible! The strain we'd put on the machine would be -" He was cut off when Sagara's hand suddenly left the keys and grabbed him by the shirt, pulling him right to that unflinching gaze of the teen soldier. And not for the first time, he felt himself wilt alittle beneath the stare.

"I'm the one that built this machine. I know its limits, so activate the damn generators!" he raised his voice for the first time, reflecting his growing agitation before shoving the man back to his console and trying to ignore the explosions that grew closer. If the process was interrupted, the island they were on would be reduced to it's base atomic components, and he refused to be delayed any longer in this portion of the breach then was necessary.

Of course, it wasn't much longer when the metal doors were blown off their hinges, sounds of weapons being prepared as they stormed inside through the obscuring smoke.

"Alright, Leonard, where's....what is that?"

"Ask him." The silver-haired youth grumbled with a faint tilt of his head, his own focus never leaving the graphs and three-dimensional mapping equipment. All attention turned to the former sergeant as he made hsi way into proper view, expression one of obvious irritation.

"You couldn't wait ten minutes?"

Mao quickly pulled off her goggles so she could properly see who she was aiming at. "Sosuke? What the hell are you doing here? And what is that?" She jerked her weapon towards what looked like a massive engine. It filled most of the room with its size, radiating the kind of blistering heat that seemed to negate the effects of the air conditioning that was constantly being jetted into the room.

"This is a Omni-Dimensional Ongoing Reality Exploration And Time-relative Event Revisionary System."

"...an ODOREATER?"

"Correct. And before anyone asks, stopping the machine now will destroy the island in its entirety. Allow us to finish, and I will explain everything in its entirety."

Everyone looked to Mao for command, watching as she hesitantly lower her weapon. "It'd better be a good one, Sagara." She couldn't help but smirk as the young man nodded.

"Affirmative."

"We're about to breach the dimensional event horizon. We will be getting a multi-spectral burst wave in 20 seconds!" That was the best warning that Leonard could give before fumbling into his pockets, leaving Sosuke to explain the best course of action for everyone else.

"Plug your ears, don't look at the screens, and think happy thoughts!" He didn't even think twice as several people facefaulted, too focused on putting in his own earplugs and running back to the keyboard. Melissa and Kurtz knew him well enough to know he wasn't kidding about any of that, dropping their weapons and trying their best to plug/cover their ears and clenched their eyes shut.

And for the rest of eternity, Mao will swear she could hear Kurtz humming the 'Three's Company' theme song before the world erupted in a nearly literal wall of light, sound, and force, knocking them off their feet and into the brief embrace of blackness.

------

And in the second half, you'll have an understanding why Urd almost regrets saying how he couldn't help. :snigger:

And in the second half, you'll have an understanding why Urd almost regrets saying how he couldn't help. :snigger:
Damn it.. Don't do this... You just like tormenting people don't you?
