Forum Section Titles & Captions

For the first time, I've noticed the inconsistency of how sections under Fanfiction are named:
  • Digimon instead of Digimon Fanfiction
  • Ken Akamatsu's Works instead of Akumetsuverse Fanfiction
  • Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha instead of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Fanfiction
There also isn't a caption under Fanfiction to explain the section (as self-explanatory as that might be) unlike most of the other sections.

In fact, is it possible to make each section's captain visible on the main page instead of just when you hover over the link? For example, show General Fanfiction's "For all us fanfiction freaks out there. General fanfiction discussions, writing tips, helpful links or whatnot" directly under the link for that section.

Though this may well be moot depending on how we reorganise the forum...

This is kind of a "don't fix what ain't broke" thing: it's clear what's going on and it's not a problem, so why change it?
Well the "why" is because having them more consistent looks better. But if we did change that, I would actually prefer to go the other way and remove the "Fanfiction" from each subsection heading: since it's under the "Fanfiction" Heading, having "Fanfiction" in the subheadings is redundant.

But this is valid, and worth considering. Certainly we can roll this into the broader consideration of section reorganization. Let's ping @Watashiwa and @The Ero-Sennin and let them know.

1) I am against this, because it's basically clutter. Especially for things like hyperlinks that people are going to be skimming all the time, we want to make them as short and brief as we possibly can. Having the one-three sentence description of each section for all of them would be the opposite of that.

2) It does remind me I want to get all those captions rewritten though; they are clearly Hawke's voice, which makes them feel very anachronistic to the board generally. And they are both long and actually kind of uninformative. And yes, I am willing to be the one to rewrite them.

Funny thing is, I've just discovered that when I visit TFF on my Kindle Fire or iPhone, it does actually show those captions on the main page as long as I have them rotated on their side instead of upright (on Silk, Safari and Chrome).

So apparently it's already a thing but not consistently which is weird.
