Long answer: This thread.

Short answer: DKG felt TFF wasn't the same anymore and ran back to oTFF. Then he got perma-banned for apparently trying to get the forum deleted (Wata posted a moderation report about it). Vexarian keep raging about the elections even after being warned about his inflammatory remarks so he got tempbanned and hasn't come back. Raine ran off the same reasons more-or-less, believing that this place was gonna die since oTFF had registration reopened.

Basically what knight said. DKG got banned because he tried to pull a nicknumbers. Vex got tempbanned because he kept spamming about how he didn't like what the admins did, despite the fact that the admins ended up admitting they screwed up, and the entire system we built to take care of that contingency worked flawlessly. Vex is, I believe, still around- he just mostly lurks.

LR left because of a combination of TFF now having admins/mods and not getting to be them. I think he pretty much realized that he would get banned if he stayed and wasn't an admin/mod.

princessbinas, stop posting and lurk. All you're doing is annoying people into adding you to their ignore lists.

Here, have a shitty out of context quote from one of my fanfics that is called Underking. Some guys (including Hiruzen) have been resurrected and Hiruzen wants to know what exactly happened:

This may have been quoted before, but I personally found it to be one of the more entertaining takes on the whole 'Naruto lets out the Kyuubi' thing. The setup is that Naruto is fairly intelligent and spent the last several years off-screen learning the sage's style of Fuinjutsu from Kurama to figure out how to free Kurama from the seal because Naruto figures that Konoha hates him for being a jailer, ok I won't be the jailer anymore and he isn't stupid enough to want to die to release Kurama.

"Ten years ago, the Yondaime needed my help to stop the Kyuubi! For ten years, I've been keeping it locked away from the rest of the world!" Glares gave way to shock, worry, and nervous muttering. If anyone hadn't been paying attention before, they were now. "But despite the importance of what I do, this job sucks! Long hours, no pay or benefits, and everyone treats me like shit!" He charged up chakra into his right hand, and lifted his shirt to expose his torso - and seals - with his left hand. Tensions in the crowd increased. The ninja among them looked like they were about to jump him. Time to wrap it up.

"I quit!" he yelled, and brought his right hand to the seal.

All hell broke loose. Potent red chakra flowed rapidly from the seal, coalescing in the middle of the street. Its power could be felt throughout the village, even by the least chakra-sensitive of the villagers. Civilians were panicking and running for their lives every which way, with some forcing their way out of the village past bewildered gate-guards. Many were frozen in terror, while some of the braver ninja threw weapons and fired elemental jutsu at the building mass of chakra.

It was pure chaos.

The demon rebuilt itself in stages. At first, it was nothing more than a giant, transparent, outline which towered over most of the nearby buildings; the attacks that were being flung at it simply passed through and sailed into the sky. Deep within the outline, a core of raw power formed and began spreading inexorably outward. Only when it contacted the outline did the whole construct begin to solidify. Detailed features of the bijuu began to form, and the attacks directed at it finally managed to hit something, only to have absolutely no effect.

Fifteen seconds after Naruto triggered the release, the Kyuubi was fully restored.

This seemed to cause a spontaneous lull in the battle, as the assorted ninja tried to figure out what to do about their seemingly invincible foe, and the demon simply gazed across the landscape. Then it drew in a massive breath, and everyone except Naruto braced themselves for some kind of attack. It came as a surprise to the people of Konoha when the bijuu spoke to them.

"See you later, shitlords!" it laughed, before it bounded over the village wall and took off running at a speed no human could hope to match.

Tazuna was the first to fall asleep and Kakashi told them they should head to bed as well. "Hn," Sasuke agreed. "Naruto, you take first watch. You still haven't learned to be alert right after waking up. I'll take second and Sakura will take third." Sasuke received nods from each of his teammates but their Jounin instructor stopped them from carrying out their plan.

"I don't think that's necessary. You three go to sleep and I'll keep watch. Don't worry about it." The trio glared at him.

"Kakashi. We are ninja – low ranked ones but still ninja. If you want to keep watch and loose that much sleep, please do. But we need to learn to do so as well." Sakura's voice sounded strained as she tried to be polite. Sasuke decided it was better she had spoken since the two boys wouldn't have been quite as nice.

"Ah. But I'm your teacher and I think you don't need to keep watch just yet. Go to bed guys."

"No." Their teacher seemed surprised at Sasuke's outright defiance.

"That was an order Sasuke." Before the dark-haired teen could respond, Naruto beat him to the punch.

"We don't care! You give stupid orders. How many times do we have to tell you? We're ninja. If we were at war right now we'd probably be dead ninja. If Sakura weren't so damn good at research we'd be stupid ninja. If Sasuke didn't have extra training as a kid we'd be weak ninja. How the hell are we suppose to be good ninja with an idiot for a teacher!?" Sasuke decided to cut Naruto off before his comments would do more harm than good.

"We don't care if you're lazy, irresponsible, a pervert or all three. We don't care if we have to train ourselves. We've been doing it all our lives in one way or another. We don't care if we can't trust what you say as you've never given us a reason to. We can over come that by working with each other. But not being able to trust a comrade while in the safety of the village is one thing. Not being able to trust you while in enemy territory is another.

"That's why we won't stand down tonight. We don't trust you to keep watch. You might protect Tazuna – it's your job. But you've never given any indication you care what happens to us. If you did you'd have been preparing us for tough missions like this. We'll count on ourselves and hope we don't run into any enemy Jounins. They're the only enemy we know for certain that we can't handle alone. And we can't count on you to be there to back us up." Sasuke kept his voice neutral and even.
