Man, I sucked at FFT. Could never get the Zodiac system even close to right, nor did I have the patience to keep leveling my characters, and my tactics kind of sucked, and I never did get the hang of leveling jobs correctly, and. . .

Well, let's just leave it at there were a lot of problems between me and that game.


I think I'll go play Ogre Battle 64 again.

Man, I sucked at FFT. Could never get the Zodiac system even close to right, nor did I have the patience to keep leveling my characters, and my tactics kind of sucked, and I never did get the hang of leveling jobs correctly, and. . .

Also, seriously. The game is really not that hard, if you make sure to level properly. And it gets ridiculously easy if you get your meleers Double Sword, or the Samurai Doublehand ability. And somebody with Calculate (NOT actually a Calculator, as they're ungodly slow and weak) is a killer spellcaster.

Especially if you are an obsessive-compulsive maniac collector of everything that doesn't run away and hides in treetops on the count of three. Like I am :X

Restarting a battle ten times just to steal one key piece of equipment from the enemy? Sure. Molesting bosses with all kinds of Slow and Stop spells so that they don't die in the Counter's of your people and you have even more time to nab their precious, precious gear? That's what FFT is like :x

Female Calculator + Haste bag + all skills = GFG.

Also, Knights dual-wielding Excalibur and packing Hamato, full-Monk parties, full-Squire parties, Squires with a gun and all * Break skills, and teleportiing Dual Wield monks double-critting for 400 each hit.

Delicious cheese, feed it to me.

There's a knight sword you can equip (or armor, i cannot remember) on knights that makes them absorb Holy damage.

Hmm....you guys ever played Tactics Advance? Try a Paladin with Double Sword, Nagrarok, Sequence, Ninja Tabi, and the Peytral. Eight (or is it nine?) move, and Holy Blade will deal ridiculous amounts of damage if you've leveled the Sequence and the Peytral enough.

I once bet my friend I could beat his entire team with one unit, and he didn't believe me.

At least, not until I crushed his team singlehandedly with the Paladin. ^_^

They need to make a MMO about Ivalice that somehow puts Mithra and Viera into the same game. Only then will I have reached ultimate MMO Zen.

FFT (the original) has always been my top favorite game of all time. I need to get my psp charger back so I can finish war of the lions... so good. I love how the expanded the story (Agrias actuatly showing up in plot in later chapters is glorious). I should really get back to work on Mt Ranma/FFT story 6-_- I keep putting it off.

I disagree. FFTA is as a standalone game excellent and great fun, offering enormous replayability all while catering to the needs of obsessive-compulsive collector freaks like I am.

But, to be honest, FFTA only fails so badly because it shares its name with FFT, which is the ABSOLUTELY MOST AWESOME BEST GAME EVER (not really, but it's as close to the throne of awesome as you can be)

FFTA fails because Laws suck donkey nuts and are annoying. The only fun I have is when I'm fighting in a Jagd. I want to fight a BATTLE, not a goddamn soccer/football/whatchamacallit game with yellow and red cards.

And teh Judges need to die in a fire.

Also, I don't care how much Marche may think he's right, when the 'fantasy world' is one where your CRIPPLED, SICK BROTHER is healthy, maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't be too surprised when said brother turns on you and sells you out when you try making things go back to what they were before. Consider his feelings too.

Marche was the only goddamn person who preferred the real world to the Ivalice version, everyone else was happy that way - and calling it illusion is a lie, since the book's magic actually WARPED THE WORLD, so it was as real as it gets. It's hard to like a main character whom I disagreed with so strongly. To me, Marche was more a villain than anyone else in the game...
