Looks like someone over there may have listened to the feedback from the original annoucement and realized they may have another dud if they worked with that company again.

Telltale Games has laid off the majority of its workers canceling every game in production with the exception of Minecraft Story Mode

That doesn't seem like a lot of games.

I think Sony got nailed by license issues and third party devs more interested in psn classics or remake sales than the psclassic.

Here is hoping it’s hackable though. If so, I’d love to rip my collection and use that to play.

Why not just buy a Raspberry Pi with bluetooth and buy or use a DS4 instead?

Even buying the DS4 brand new to go with it, you can get it done for about the same amount of money. A decent Pi that will be more than enough to run a PS emulator will run about $40 US, and a cheaper one will do the job if you cut back on the bells and whistles a little. If you've already got the DS4, that's even more reason to go that route because it's less than half the cost of the PS Classic.

I mean, if you're ripping the games anyway you can just use an emulator and get a better experience than the PS Classic will provide. Any decent emulator will have upgraded graphics settings, post processing, uprezing, better sound, and a superior wireless controller.

I get not using an emulator if you don't have the games already, don't want to download them, or don't want to rip them, but if that's your plan anyway, there's really no reason to bother with the PS Classic. Especially since you won't have to bother with "hacking" a Pi.

It's also worth pointing out that emulators themselves aren't illegal. It's when you're downloading games that the legal issues become a thing.

Newer console emulators sometimes have stability issues, but the PS emulators have been around long enough that the kinks have been worked out and they should work flawlessly with any game for the system.

I have a Pi set up this way already and have long since ripped my PS collection and transferred it over.

The setup is a little more complicated, but it's not that hard, and you only ever have to do it once. If you have the games and the skills to rip them, you can handle setting up a Pi and installing an emulator on it.

Seems like a waste of money considering your particular circumstances.

It probably is, yeah. Hence why I’ve not preordered one. I do have an snes classic though, which I love.

I have a ps3 that can play them currently as well, though if I get the urge to play in looking more at pc emulation.

Not sure how accurate this is, but if it's true then Battlefield 5 even worse than it already was.

Battlefield has always played fast and loose with history, that’s nothing new. It never claimed to be a historically accurate series.

I love how they are launching with a #everyonesbattlefield tag. Frank the alt right and their bs crusade to sanitize gaming. Was a joy to watch the battlefield reddit collapse the other day. An alt right mid actually tried to take over the subreddit and demos everyone else only for the admins to slap him down.

A pity I don’t have time for any online games right now or I’d pick it up, it looked to play pretty well from what I watched on twitch.

On a more positive note, looks like we may be getting the long sought after Crash Team Racing HD remake fans were crying for since the N Sane Trilogy released. Lots of journalists reporting crash and driving themed gifts with the date of 12/6, the video game award showtime.

also in fantastic new that shouldn't have been an issue in the first place, Bethesda is replacing the crappy nylon bags in the $200 Fallout 76 collectors edition with the promised canvas bags.

this is bethesda: Are we sure they said canvas bag, or did they say they would send you some canvas IN a bag?

There is a reason I don't pre-order collectors editions. Not after Batman AA, which a friend went all in on.

What happened? I never played the game, as I never had much interest...

It originally had a sick metal batarang as it's central feature. Pre release legal told them you couldn't ship a toy with super sharp metal edges.

So at the last minute they made a plastic one. It was hella cheap, wonky black plastic on a permenantly attached plastic base. Looked terrible.

Radeon RX 3070 $199 - 8GB GDDR6 -120W TDP
Radeon RX 3080 (Navi10) $249 - 8GB GDDR6 - 150W TDP

Sweat zombie Jesus. That 3080 would be between 1080 and 1080TI performance for $249, with the same chip rumored to be in the ps5.

Also loving that 3600 lineup. That 3600x and 3600g may be kings of the midrange PC build market. I've got a Ryzen 2600 / RX 580 build right now, and this looks to be only slightly more expensive for superior performance.

So Joker(Persona not Batman) is a DLC character for Smash Ultimate, I'm wondering if this means we'll get P5 for the Switch.

Mortal Kombat 11 trailer dropped at the game awards. Looks like there's going to be time travel shenanigans.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 trailer also dropped.

I'm far more interested in The Outer Worlds.

Borderlands meets OG Fallout by the original developer of Fallout and Fallout NV?

Bethesda has nothing to do with it?

Yes. Please.

Outer worlds jumped to my preorder list.

But joker in smash was my announcement of the night. I’m not even a huge smash fan (gives me motion sickness) but that’s a huge highlight for persona, and hopefully leads to p5 on switch.

So with Sony cracking down on underage anime tits, and now steam doing the same, it's a rough time to be a fan of underage anime tits.

Playstation's annual holiday sale is going on, as are sales at Humble and GoG. Time to nab some holiday gaming goodness.

I picked up Wipeout: Omega collection and Playstation VR worlds myself.

Atlus has recently teased us with a video talking about 'Persona 5 R,' which might be revealed in March. (Also, the newest episode of the P5 Anime releases in March as well.) We might be seeing the big reveal about the "FES/Golden" version of Persona 5.

Trust me I am well aware, I hear people talking about a Switch port/Golden treatment and can I just say that if it's a pure port to another system I just don't care. That being said if they fleshed out Hifumi and made her into a party member like they originally planned I would love that.
