Well, I'm not the biggest fan of the series but for those interested Halo 3 Recon, will be making it's way to the 360 sometime next year. I suppose I'll eventually get around to buying the soundtrack at some point.

Also Konami is releasing a Castlecania game for next gen systems.

Let's TGS! (And you'd all better be happy I'm doing this, I've got an essay due in less than an hour... ^_^ ).

First up: Gyakuten Kenji at the Tokyo Games Show. Why, hello there, Edgeworth. You're looking fantastic.

Next, White Knight Chronicles, currently the only reason an RPG fan should consider getting a PS3. Asides from Disgaea.

A revelation: why did Suda lie about No More Hereos?

You might of heard of Infinite Space. A DS game, like the title says it's a space strategy game along the lines of Galaxy Angel, but sans mecha anime girls (at least, I don't think giant mecha are involved...). Oh, by the way, it's being made by a company known for it's ero-games. Woot!

Dynasty Warriors fans rejoice, PSP version on the way.

Dead Rising Wii: Good Idea, Bad Idea? Sounds like a bad idea. *sigh*

More after class. If there's more news.

It's been said that Red Alert will have the the same FANTASTIC </sarcasm> DRM that spore has...

BUT!

They throw us a bone, instead of 3 installations.? YOU GET 5!!!!!111oneoneone

*sigh* goddamnit EA
 What the... 5 installs... :headbanger: :headbanger: :headbanger:

Excuse me, I need to find the person that came up with that particular DRM and shoot him or her.
I know this is old, but it's not five installs.

It's five machines you can install the game on an indefinite amount of times.

Just to cut through the misinformed nerd rage.

3 -5 machines you can uninstall/reinstall the game on to your heart's content.

I'm finishing up a work contract for "a large unknown company" in the online publishing department.

Trust me (semi-anonymous internet guy), it's machines not installs.

Games I'm looking forward to:

KoF 12
Tekken 6
SF 4
Yggdra Union: We'll Never Fight Alone
Dead Space
Mirror's Edge
RE 5

Well, it seems I've discovered the class I shall be playing in Diablo 3, The Wizard.

The back story for the Wizard on Blizzard's site is fairly interesting, and the description of abilities sounds like a lot of fun. For those interested I think I'd focus most of my power in the Arcane skill set with perhaps a Minor in Conjuring to protect my fleshy bits. Though Conjuring's endgame ability to summon a Hydra might be worth spending a few points.

Starcraft II

Fall out III

Star Ocean IV, definitely.

Final Fantasy XIII at some point.

Star Ocean First and Second Evolution for the PSP whenever I get my hands on a PSP.

Dead Space, just so I can call out work for being scared shitless to go outside. :p

and

The Last Remnant, too fucking cool to not be played.

You STILL have faith in the wretched dreg the FF series has become? And it's an unlucky number, to boot.

Enjoy wasting 50 bucks on what is guaranteed to be a sucky game. :snigger:

More, I believe FFXIII is the one the series creators said long ago was going to "tie all the various Final Fantasies together".

I foresee epic failure.

Anyone here interested in X Edge? I just recently heard about it, but I'm usually not really on the ball with new games...I buy most of mine used.

To my knowledge, though, there's not a lot on it except that it looks like some sort of RPG, it's for the PS3, and features characters from Darkstalkers, Disgaea, Ar Tonelico, Spectral Souls, Atelier Marie, and Mana-Khemia 2...and doesn't seem to have a release date yet. Confirmed characters are...

Disgaea - Etna, Prinnies
Darkstalkers - Morrigan, Felicia, Demitri, Lillith
Ar Tonelico - Aurica, Misha, Shurelia, Lyner
Mana Khemia 2 - Roze, Lillane, Whim
Atelier series - Marie
Spectral Souls - Mue

Got some trailers over at Game Trailers to look at...though only one's an official trailer.

So...personal thoughts...hmm. You don't usually see crossovers like this except in a straight fighting game, at least in my admittedly limited experience...so I'm interested in how they intend to approach it from a storyline perspective. Not to mention the power levels and such...

Still, I'm interested. If nothing else, it's a game with Darkstalkers characters in it...though, I wish they had Hsien-ko or Lord Raptor, myself. And B.B. Hood. Oh yeah. Also...can't help but wonder...if Demitri is in it...will Midnight Bliss be?

Anyways, did everyone else already know about this and I'm slow as usual, or is this of interest to others? :p

A bit more news;

Starcraft II is so big, it's been broken into 3 games.

Turns out each faction will have their single-player campaign as a 30+ hour game with Terrans first out of the chute followed by the Zerg and Protos episodes. While the latter could be considered expansion packs, they will be stand-alone productions, similar to the last two Dawn of War expansions.

Plus, for a bit of related awesome, the opening cinematic of Starcraft II

Midnight Bliss'd Prinny FTW!

I could also see some fairly amusing interaction with Etna. "Wow, I have Breasts!" :snigger:

Come to think of it, Dmitri would be like... Laharl's worst nightmare, wouldn't he?

Well, depends if you ever fight each other, or just fight monsters, I suppose, unless you can target your own party members with it...though it seems like you may wind up going against each other judging from some bits of the game trailer.

...that said, Laharl and Demitri is a hilarious notion, especially if he gets Midnight Blissed.

"Oh god, I can't escape the knowledge that...that...nooooooooo...!!!"

Yes, the echo of his former breasts shall haunt Laharl forever. Especially if they were big and squishy. Not to mention if some of his minons were affected...he may have flashbacks! The horror!

Well, I was going to talk about TGS, and some of the cool stuff that was revealed about upcoming games. I'm going to to a quick piece about The Another World (the Ghibli/Level 5 co-op DS game :D ), and then talk about something MUCH dearer to my heart.

The Another World's real name seems to be Ninokuni, and it comes with a truly ridiculous amount of swag. Yes, it comes with it's own book.

But who cares about ANY of that. Chrono Trigger DS got a new trailer. And what do you know, there's finally an explanation as to exactly what all the shiny new content is.

Supposedly, plot holes have been filled. Given that the plot holes did sometimes have reasonable explanations, exactly HOW this will be done ought to be interesting. Secondly, new gameplay suggests that Chrono and co. might get a chance to deal with Dalton, the arrogant prick.

Also, the Reptite Dimension (famous for it's appearance in that one ending of CT, and for really $%&ing up Cross' already mindbending plot) may get an explanation in CT. How else do we explain Reptites at Guardia Castle?

Other additions: the Dimensional Distortion (which might affect The End of Time, according to Gaspar), and the monster arena (what, no multi-player Jetbike?).

And is sad news, Frog might lose his Olde English accent. While I know it is neither accurate nor appreciated by many fans, Frog's "Thees" and "Thous" made him a memorable character. :sisi:

Lastly, pre-order folks get a special soundtrack at Gamestop. I was already planning to get this, but now I have to do it before next month. *sigh*

All info about this comes from the Chrono Compendium. Drop by and say hi to ZeaLitY and the other forum-goers. They're good people. :sisi:

That Ninokuni games looks good. It's not the first game to use the touch screen as a magic incantation thing (that one goes to... Lost Magic? I think that's what it's called), but it's a fine looking game.

Sorry to say, I might just not preorder or get the game now because of that.

Frog was my favorite character, so much that I played the game several times (and even once through on the god forsaken PS1 version) because of that accent, no matter how incorrect it might have been, and the idea that it will be gone puts a stopper on any enthusiasm I might have.

Also, it turns out the 'soundtrack' might just be two tracks, which while nice isn't nice enough to get me over the loss of my favorite aspect of Frog.

Wow. That's a bit harsh. I can understand liking Frog's "voice" and being upset about it's removal... but to that degree?

Hm. Oh well. Better chance for me to get a copy. ;)

But yeah... while I liked all the game's characters, Frog always did seem the most developed. Losing the accent will be hard. -_-

Dragon Age: Origins

Some new info on the next game from those talented people at Bioware. I don't normally play wizards but their origin story sounds interesting enough that I might just play a spell-slinger for once.

Alpha Protocol

A new trailer for this game. I'll admit I like spy stuff, and the company has some good games to it's credit. However I'm not sure if AP will be any good. I suppose time will tell.

You know, I didn't think much of Dragon Age, but I may have to reconsider.

In a few years, after I get a low-cost computer that will be able to play it. ^_^

Same for Alpha Protocol. Still looks interesting, but I don't know what to think.
