Okay here's a thread for the random and less popular cartoons we have watched over the years.

First up for me - Sidekick

Was I the only one disappointed that is ended the way it did? I was really expecting some kind of twist. Like learning Maxum Man was really Eric's father and he took off because Eric didn't have any powers. I mean it would make the most sense in why he would choose an orphan like Eric to be his official sidekick just before disappearing.

Okay just watched the Robot Chicken Bitch Puddin' special. I was expecting a lot of skits, not a full-on continuity 15 minute episode with a plot where Bitch Puddin wasn't exactly in the wrong.

General discussion? Great!

I just finished watching Bravest Warriors. It's from Pendleton Ward, the guy who makes Adventure Time, and that shows. It more or less what you get when you swap the Fantasy and Sci-fi levels of Adventure Time - a healthy scoop of each but with more sci fi. This makes in awesome.

The show is tightly packed and fast paced. Episodes are ~5mins long and available free on you tube. The characters are fun, the world intresting and the action good (in an Adventure Time way). Watch for yourself.

Yes! Yes! Yes! I thought it was cancelled for sure, what with the massive gaps in the past few episodes. It’s a really great show with lots of heart.

Sources indicate something new is being done with Transformers Animated!

Speculation is it might be a comic continuing the story.

And now for the Bad News

The Hub is ending.

Discovery is buying Hasbro's shares and rebranding the channel. What effect this will have one programming remains to be seen, though a deal is in effect that Hasbro will still provide some programming for the 9:00 AM through 3:00 PM slot.

So, why is the Hub ending? Have the ratings been poor? Or is this just some corporate bull puckey on the part of Discovery? I mean, they didn't have ANYTHING before Hasbro went in there and there've been a few genuine hits in the networks short few years of operation. What's the rationale behind this move?

It's the end of an era.

I'm in total denial of the lack of cartoons. Last Saturday while waiting for some stuff to be delivered, I had on some old Looney Tunes on dvd. Niece and nephew were over and they'd never seen them before. ...I believe I'm just getting over the horror of their lack of a proper education...
