General RWBY Ideas

Didn't see one previously, so I decided to go ahead and make this here. While RWBY has anime flair to it, it's technically a webtoon, so I thought perhaps it would fit best here rather then in the anime/manga area.

So without further ado, lets get cracking.

Few ideas so far:

"The Afterlife of Pyrrha Nikos'

This would be a story chronically Pyrrhaas she watches over her team in ghost form, starting with her death at beacon and onward though team RNJR's long trip to Haven.

She would be a ghost, and would slowly gain additional ghost related powers as the fic went on, but never resurrection: she's dead and going to stay that way (unlike some other characters in canon it seems).

I'd treat it semi comically, much like the show, but this would be a story about coming to terms with mortality, and what lay beyond, and the necessary sacrifices. Not that she's not going to do what she can to help from the beyond, and eventually, as her poltergeist powers grow, in normal reality as well.

Untitled Cinder/Jaune Fic:

Basically gives the two a backstory/history with each other, stretching back years. Long ago,m when both were younger, they had met each other, and fallen deeply in love. Both had dreams, desires, etc, and were pretty much the definitive couple.

Until she left. Something, or someone had happened to her. Like the girl at the ball who had to flee at midnight, Cinder left Jaune to do 'something'. A mentor she said, someone who could give her the power she so desperately sought. A passionate letter was all she left him, urging him to get stronger and rejoin her at her side, and then, she was gone.

He'd not seen hide nor hair of her in the three years that followed. Heartbroken, he throw himself headlong into what training he could, when he could. He even went so far as to forge documents to get into beacon to further himself.

There he found his strength, his team, his aura.

And in the lead up to the Vytal festival, he found her.

She didn't expect him to be there.

He didn't expect her to be there.

But both of them realized they were still madly in love, as troublesome as that would make things. Cinder is damn committed to her plan, to her queens ambitions. But she wasn't expecting the love of her live to be in such danger, hes suppose to be far from beacon and vale!

And poor loverboy knows nothing of what shes been up to, or whats she's planning.

So yeah, Cinder/Jaune romance, but don't expect any happy endings here folks. She's sticking to her guns, even if the love of her life is back in said life.

There was a varient on the above idea that i'm actually less inclined to write, and that was the idea that jaune was fully aware of what cinders plans, method, and goals were.

Because he was also a part of them. Yes, dear Jaune was not the lovable, bumbling novice he seemed, but rather, a sort of infiltration unit of Salems. While he had never unlocked his aura, better to preserve his cover, he had trained just as long and hard as one could expect without raising too much suspicion.

The part of about Cinder and him being lovers is true. Hell, they get off on the power they wield, that she's gained. They each have their own roles: She the figure of the underworld, powerful and dreadful. He gathering information on beacons huntsmen, turning them this way or that to prevent unwanted notice. This would be why, say, JNPR never gets involved in outside school affairs.

And yes, that would mean manipulation of Pyrrha's emotions to turn her down a particular path, and indeed, even set her up for her own death before she could get too powerful. What he hadn't counted on was Ruby and her own attack.

You would have to write up a believable reason that isn't a complete forced drama for Jaune to turn to team Salem.

There is one good complete fic I read with that theme that keeps everyone in character with appropriate emotional responses to the developing situation with no character bashing. Pyrrha is not neglected, bashed or turned into a yandere out of nowhere in this story, she gets to be involved in the plot and character development too - https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11655241/1/Stress-Relief

The name of the story sounds underwhelming when you look at it, but it is perfect in that it hints at how the whole shebang starts off without spoiling how things end up afterward.

I would have straight up had him recruited long before series start, around the same time Cinder war. The biggest problem is trying to figure out why she would recruit him. I'd be more inclined to hold that off till we find out more about his semblance, etc.

And funny thing: I found and read stress relief after thinking of the pairing. Heck of a story. Probably my favorite canon esque depiction of Cinder.

Though I love her in White Sheep more, just because of the pure comedy of her and everyone else reactions.

I'm more edging toward the idea that Jaune and Cinder had a history, being childhood sweethearts, and then move from there. Less a "get into a relationship to relieve stress' and more 'overjoyed to be reunited, yet terrified as the one person you want to protect is now in a danger of your own making'.

Sadly, i'm sure any Jaune/Cinder stuff would be compared to the likes of Stress Relief, and I doubt I could write anything near that good at this point.

You know, now that I think about it, there is an almost in series way to make your story work.

There are ton of hints that Jaune is great grandson of the last king of Vale (warrior hero king, slayer of men with his Yellow Death swrod - Crocea Mors), which completely fit with his situation and personality.

We know his family travelled all over, so, what if Jaune (of a noble family) meets a soot covered girl and charms her, maybe even takes her to a ball as a peak of their encounter. And then you have the rich pompous people start disparaging her out of Jaunes hearing, via that way of commenting about a lowborn poor kid thinking she can be around someone of his standing, you could have it be mothers of jealous girls that also wanted to dance with the kid prince Jaune, who kept dancing with Cinder because he likes her more.

Then Jaune has to go home, and Cinder can't do anything to follow and starts feeling powerless in her situation, developing her need for power and control that she has in the present, due to jealous noble girls shitting all over her in various ways.

Salem would totally support Cinder in her endevour to grab a strong potential to her side from Ozpin.

Heck, in before Salem decides to spite Ozpin and make his succesor what he himself didn't want to be, aka the king of the world. In before she decides to nab every promising potential, like Pyrrha, Ruby, etc.

It depends on what kind of tone you want to take with your story, as long as it's not dark and edgy :D.

You know, the character song 'Boop" really changes the feel of several scenes with Nora in them. "boop" basically being a straight up replacement for 'I love you" makes some things so damn sweet/sappy.

So this...

Got some of the RWBY reddit folks thinking. Toss in two other lovely gynoids, for example Kos-Mos and Aigis, and you could have a team of robotic girls. Stupidly overpowered, if they go all out.

So I started thinking of a possible way to even make that work. Closest I could get is thus: All four represent each kingdoms attempt/candidate for an artificial huntress officially, and secretly, an artificial maiden candidate.

Now you say, who besides atlas even has the tech for that? Glad you asked, it comes down to how advanced each of the girls are, and various bits of convenient lost tech/recovered artifacts that each is built around. Atlas contributed bts and peices to each, wholly developing penny, and sometimes, that aid came from atlas transplants/exiles/you name it.

Kosmos Winnicot : designation Kosmos Obey Strategic Multiple Operation System. Developed around an "aura emitting artifact' supplied by Ozpin, and then engineered by Kevin Winnicot originally from atlas, and finished by Shion Uzuki of vale. Contains the soul of a former maiden. Paid for by the vast sums of money Ozpin had accrued over the long centuries of his life, she is activated officially after the attack on Amber, and assigned guard duty for beacon, in the guise of a new student. Her semblance is "Transport", allowing her to store and recall multiple weapons at will. Penny's partner.

Aigis Kirijo: Last surviving experimental Anti-grimm weapon, created by Vacuo. Her appearance is explained to others as being a girl who was majorly injured and who was fitted with multiple prosthetic limbs. Sent to beacon for formal combat trials, enrolled as a first year student. 2b's partner

Penny!: you know her, you love her. Basically gets sent early after the attack on amber, and enrolls as a first year student. Acts as ironwoods eyes and ears, reporting events back to him in secret. "Orgia" is her semblance. Kosmos's partner.

_____ Yourha: can't decide on a name yet, designation YoRHa No.2 Type B. Built around a recovered black box found during a expansion attempt of Mistral, and built using plans recovered from it. Insists folks call her by her nickname '2B' the origins of which changes each time she tells the story. Given Lionheart is compromised, she may have secret orders to replay information back to him unwittingly, and claims to have known Cinder's crew as Mistral students. uses her NFCS to manipulate her weapons, which most assume is her semblance. Actual semblance relates to her after image dodging.

The girls were not intended to be on the same team, that was actually something of a coincidence. Given their relative power, under most circumstances they hold back considerably.

Well now, this latest episode is going to reignite some shipping wars.

You mean pour oil on a burning firestorm. Admittedly, the shipping is light on the one place I do read comments about the show, SB has more tendencies of going into rabid blaming and overanalyzing of characters from extremely incomplete writing.

I lold when I saw their lesbian character finally, considering RWBY crew was promising one LGBT character this means all the rest are not, but this does not stop the LGBT fetishists from shipping their lesbian ships rabidly even further, which makes it even more hillarious, because while they are crowing how they want LGBT characters, they instead want lesbians only, which is blatant hypocrisy on their end, oh wait, we did get a 2d drawing of 2 homo characters at the start of volume 5 so they can say they weren't only about yuri pandering.

Personally I am more interested if we will ever get back to Monty tier fight choreography, 3rd volume was surviving of some of his work done, but 4th and now 5th volume are suffering from all the hanging shots, zoom ins that show nothing, unnatural pauses and overall very badly thought through fights. I guess RWBY is now a fanfic tier drama story with bad action instead of action adventure it was at the start.

Personally, considering everything, in before Raven agrees to helping Cinder and Salem to get the Relic from Haven in return for their lives (Salem doesn't really need Vernal), which will finally bring around the whole fight of team JNPR versus Raven that was discarded during volume 2 due to constraints, team RWBY will be fighting team Salem, also my face if the whole constant emphasis on hand to hand to Ruby turns out to be for her Super Silver state, because she goes all hands on ripping mode or something.

The first hinted at LBGT character was Scarlet form SSSN, iirc. I think the main issue with gay characters is well, the major cast is majority female, so female-female pairings seem to be the most common, outside of the hetero pairings. Fanfiction runs with a lot of guy-guy stuff though, almost as much as other pairings. Fanart seems to prefer straight or lesbian though.

Though I do think it's hilarious that Blake has turned into a harem protagonist. Catgirls, yo.

Monty was a one in a million animated, I imagine it's going to be hard to find someone of his caliber again. The folks who can do it are probably too busy working for hollywood, and RT couldn't afford them. Finding another internet sensation who isn't gobbled up by someone with deeper pockets has got to be a challenge. You could try mocap, but it will never be as smooth or awesome-crazy as Monty's hand animations were.

Raven knows what will happen if Salem gets the relic, heck, she asked about beacons. I think she'll force the issue by using her portals to escape to her daughter/Qrow if things get too far out of control, and Vernal is taken/has her powers stolen. I'm starting to think we may not see the attack on Haven this volume at all, given we are halfway there and still no where near any assault. Everything so far feels like a lot of setup actions, though, maybe the back half the volume will be at a faster pace.

Well snap, that episode didn't go as I thought.

Also, on route C (I think) of Nier, really wanting to write something about that above multi-series fusion, but will hold off until I complete more of the game.

There will be no episode for 2 weeks after this weeks episode, if they end it on another flipping cliffhanger people will fly off the handle at the RWBY cliffhanger meme volume.

I am now indifferent to Kali and/or Ghira dying thanks to the continuous episode cockteasing with zero peaks during the volume.

I am still amazed how badly that skirt on Weiss looks with how it doesn't fold in and clips all over the place, give her hot pants which won't give me a headache with all that clipping RT.

Raven at least looks like a person with a plan now, and due to how Ozpin shows no negative feelings towards her I have this odd feeling that either he supports her plan or outright manipulated her onto that path, because I want to believe that he did not coast on luck for thousands of years.

I'm planning on waiting until the Volume's finished before going any further. Have RNJR left that fucking house yet? And has Ozpin finished assimilating the boy?

Before volume 4 gave us the full name of Oscar (Pine) I thought of rebuilt Penny becoming a member of team JNPR, considering he will need some training to acclimate himself to his knowledge it will take a few volumes or something.

I do wonder what kind of Nen specialization will they give Jaune, aura brickwall is sort of useless for offensive combat, maybe they intend him to be an Enhancer type with a Nen sword swing? Not that shield bashing wouldn't be an awesome thing to see as a main combat focus.

Alternate Universe RWBY.

>Summer acted on her love first, so Ruby is the elder sister, mature after being obligated by the circumstances to take care of her little sister, caring older sister and badass fighter, she's as strong as canon Pyhrra and already has entered in the circle of Ozpin as a prodigy and a genius Hunter. As result of Raven don't acting on her feelings until Summer died, Yang is the 15 years old plucky girl, where her sister is poise, Yang is the actual hearth of the teams, at not having to mature as fast as she did in canon, hell maybe she don't even care of Raven dissaparence if Ruby is her substitute mother, not as strong as canon Ruby, she's still one powerful hunter and a package deal for Ozpin, because Ruby wouldn't leave Yang alone, but she's trying to protect her sister.

>Jaune follows in his ancestors step training from infance in a much more militant Arc family, a prodigy huntsman is recognized as a hero for Vale, why? Because at 17 he's an acomplished hunter (given the fact that with only 1 year of training he almost equal the characters who have trained since childhood, well I'm extrapoling that) that has defeated or even maybe killed Adam Taurus in a raid of the White Fang, Jaune has all his canon goals, except he's not happy, his family a mere training ground instead of a loving family, he has a powerful aura and is a master swordsman but he can't get his Semblance (he hasn't found himself, he only does what people expect of him) his arc is complemented by two characters; Pyhrra the novice but very talented combatant who's trying to be more that people expect from her, she's escaping the destiny that says that she's the youngest daughter of a low class mistralian family. The other character is Blake Belladona, who leads the White Fang and has united with Cinder and Salem searching for revenge, while she started to have misgivings with Adam and the White Fang the death of her love? lover? has given her the last push, now she's a monster obsessed with revenge against Jaune, no one knows her face, so she was the first infiltrated in Beacon where her only chance in redemption is actually Yang (she's full Sasuke and Yang is her Naruto) at the same time knowing the warmt of camaraderie, of true friends and seeing that Jaune is not an actual racist asshole and is as lost as her start to give her misgivings again (it doesn't help that she actually learns to love the presence of Yang in her live and the girl developes a crush on Jaune, she don't want to hurt the girl)

Weiss, Nora and Ren are a little more difficult to pin down. I'm thinking of a boisterus Ren, wanted to make him obsessed with revenge against the Grimm, but well for that is Blake, a Nora who never met Ren and is basically a doll, or maybe even a Nora who was found by Cinder in the same way that Emerald and is completely loyal to her. With Weiss I'm thinking of either make her the older sister and a young Winter entering Beacon or going the Azula route with her, instead of rebellious a girl who always is trying to please her father, seemly perfect in every way but with a fragile mind after years of abuse and pain.

So... Thoughts?

No I love team JNR. I just want them to go do their own thing. After the lackluster Menagerie thing and how much padding is going on, I really want them to go do some chara development and other stuff.

Well now, no spoilers but man these last few episodes.

So pretty much every Raven or Jaune fic writer are heading to their word docs as we speak to incorporate all this new knowledge. Should make some fics really quite interesting.

Currently working on "The Noble Roses", my twist in the "RWBY with RPG/Game" elements genre.

I'm using Guildwars 2 as a basis, and trying to avoid the usual trap of 'MMO system that can do anything and provide endless deus ex's" to resolve every conflict. Mostly done with chapter 1, if anyone wants to beta let me know.

If been considering a RWBY idea lately. It's based on a very small initial change to canon, which could potentially lead to further and more far reaching changes down the line.

The change is this: Qrow is just a bit faster when he goes after Amber and arrives just in time to save her from having her maiden powers sucked out. He scares team CEM into retreating and takes Amber back to Beacon to recuperate and regroup.

Consequently, Cinder will be less powerful, the plans of Salem's group might not progress as they did in canon, with the attack on Beacon happening later or not at all, and Beacon would have a Maiden in residence which would obviously impact the attack by Cinder and the White Fang, if it does happen, in a major way. Pyrrha could survive.

It could even impact the cooperation between Cinder and the White Fang. IIRC, Adam at first told Cinder to fuck, but then she came back later with her maiden powers and burnt his camp, convincing him that cooperating with her was in his best interest.

It's such a small change that would affect basically the whole canon story and so far I haven't found any story that uses this. I think it could be quite interesting.

Something I touched upon in my watchthrough in the general RWBY topic: the ending of season 4 really feels like Qrow is about to die. The arrival of the patrol that helps save him even feels like a little bit of a cop-out. As an idea, it would certainly make for a darker timeline with one of the 'good guys' dead. The moment even feels like a perfect set-up for a 'passing down the torch' scene after Team RNJR defeats the Nuckelavee.

So I have an AU multi-crossover idea. I was inspired by stories like Index and the MCU which can have different stories and characters running parallel which each other. So I thought of three stories, White Huntsman, Red Monster, and Blue Magic.

White Huntsman is a Jaune-centric story, with him going to Beacon like in canon. Except he knows about Aura, and Pyrrha Nikos is his idol.

Here's what I currently have of the Prologue.

White Huntsman: Prologue: Let's Kick Things Off With A Yang!
Yang stood confidently in the airship. There wasn't a single strand of hesitation or doubt in her body. Unlike the students who were sitting sullenly in the corner counting nothings or those that paced in their own little circles out of stress and doubt or that dude that was holding his stomach and looked like he was about to throw up.

Because she was awesome! She had the skill to fight an entire gang at the same time. Her Dual Ranged Shot Gauntlets could knock the head of an Ursa sky-high, her Semblance meant that she could hit harder than her opponent. And then there was her sexy body and cool attitude!

Yang smirked to herself as she reassured herself. Out of the corner of her eye, she could notice some boys and girls glancing at her.

'Hm, well it's not like I hate the stares.' Yang knew how sexy her body was. She used it to her advantage multiple times in the past, as long as they weren't pervy or tried to touch her, she didn't mind.

Yang looked out the window. She could see most of Vale, from the giant CCT tower to the commercial and residential districts, and past that. The ocean was a bright and tranquil blue. Waves reflect the sun.

And off the shore of Vale, Yang could see a small piece of land.

'Is that Patch?' Yang realized. It had been so long since she saw the place. Mostly of her own volition. Her departure from the place was one of the very bad memories. Mostly due to the Grimm.

From here the island seemed calm, not like how Yang remembered her final moments in that place.

Yang glared at it. Right now she was one step closer to her goal, to exterminate the Grimm who forced her family to leave.

'However' She sighed, she wasn't even a huntress-in-training yet.

Not that she didn't believe that she couldn't get into Beacon. But she had only taken her first step. Right now she didn't need to dwell on the past or future.

As she stood in the bulkhead her thoughts strayed to those of her family, mostly her sister.

'I hope Ruby would be okay without me' Yang thought. Her little sis was painfully shy and always clung to her side at school or when going out. Mom, Dad, and she tried to help Ruby break out of her shell but most attempts ended with Ruby either running away or just not talking.

Due to this, she didn't have any friends at school.

'Well not anymore' Yang remembered. She did make one friend, a freshman.

Yang remembered talking to her for a bit. She was nice, but also so confident in herself that it bordered on arrogance and had a sharp tongue. Yang would've probably told Ruby to not interact with her if she didn't seem to really consider Ruby her friend.

'Plus because of her, Ruby's becoming more confident.'

As she was reminiscing, the news report about the White Fang, which she was ignoring was suddenly replaced by a hologram of a woman.

"Hello, and welcome to Beacon!" The hologram said in a kind yet strict voice.

"Who's that?" Yang asked herself out loud, quite dumbly as well.

'I feel like I've heard her before.' she thought.

"My name is Glynda Goodwitch."

"Oh. Oooooh." Yang realized why the woman's voice was so familiar.

'She's Dad and Mom's friend!'

Yang didn't remember seeing her at any time of her life other than a blurry memory at 7 years old, but she had heard Mom and Dad talk to her over the phone sometimes. In fact, now that she thinks about it Mom and Dad were talking to her quite frequently last week.

She never knew who they were talking to, so she always called her the Stuck-Up Witch.

"You are among the privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy. Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace,-"

Yang grimaced. An incredible time of peace? Had everyone forgotten what happened just 15 years ago? Had everyone forgotten what happened on the island known as Patch?

"-And as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it."

Glynda Goodwitch continued her speech regardless of Yang's anger.

"You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now, it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and training to protect the world."

Glynda's hologram disappeared after the short but to-the-point speech.

Yang glanced at the small dot that was Patch and turned away, looking forward. Even as far away as they were Yang could see a coastline, and on the cliff stood a giant and beautiful castle, like a "Beacon".

'It's a nice view.' She thought.

"Argh!"

Behind her, she saw a boy with blonde hair retching and covering his mouth.

He quickly ran to the nearest trash can, passing in front of her on the way.

'Guess the view isn't for everyone.' She pitied the poor boy, maybe he was throwing up because of nerves? After all, Beacon was one of the Four great Huntsman Academies! She could see someone getting the shivers when they realized where they were going.

Not that she was anything like him!

"Um excuse me?" A girl who stood six feet from her asked for her attention.

"Hm?"

"You have vomit on your shoes."

"..."

"Oh, eeeeew!" Yang cried.

"Don't come near me!"

"Wah, gross, stay away!"

The people around Yang parted away from her as she powerwalked to the bathroom. Her face was red with embarrassment.

"Grrr, that bastard." Yang seethed as she ran her shoes through the water.

'Seriously, this is so embarrassing. Couldn't that dude cover his mouth better or something?"

After washing with soap and water and wiping with some toilet paper. Her shoes were now free of vomit.

However…

She grimaced at her now soggy shoes. She definitely didn't want to put her feet in that, wet socks were one of the worst things she ever felt. Especially since you could get blisters or Athlete's Foot. She'd rather walk with dry socks than wear wet shoes, however, that wasn't really socially acceptable, and also just as embarrassing as being vomited on.

She didn't have any other shoes with her. They were in her suitcase, which was in the cargo bay.

Which meant...

She gulped.

'Don't think about it, don't think about it-' Yang repeated in her head as she slithered her feet into the shoes.

"Guuuh" Yang moaned in disgust.

The pressure of her foot on the spongy sole squeezed out the water that had soaked in and infected her socks.

It was a disgusting, slimy feeling, so much so that if she wasn't currently more embarrassed by not wearing shoes she would've probably gone out in her socks.

But currently, she was more embarrassed by not wearing shoes. So she tiptoed out of the bathroom.

And then bumped into someone.

"Aaaah!" Yang backed away and rubbed her forehead in pain.

"Ow!" Whoever she bumped into also seemed to be in pain.

She opened her eyes to see who she bumped into.

It was a guy with matted blonde hair and white armor with a black hoodie underneath. He had a sheath on his left holding a sword.

"Oooow" The dude was rubbing his nose in pain.

'Wait a minute…'

The dude stopped rubbing his nose and met face to face with Yang Xiao Long, whose eyes were widening in realization.

"Hey! You're the dude who vomited on me!"

"Wha?!"

"You bastard, because of you I embarrassed myself right in front of all the students even before I reached Beacon and now I'm forced to wear soggy shoes and socks. How are you gonna fix this?"

Yang cracked her knuckles, ready to exact some justified punishment. She wasn't gonna do much, maybe a punch or a prank so the guy realizes that he shouldn't mess with her.

"Uh, I'll apologize?" he interrupted her thoughts, raising his hands in surrender.

Yang just glared at his half-hearted apology.

"I'm sorry, I have very bad motionsicknessandIdidn'tmeantovomitonyourshoes, I'msorrypleasedon'tkillme!." He said backing away in fear.

Oh, wow. Yang blinked at how fast the words came out of his mouth.

She knew she could be scary, especially when she was mad. But she never got this type of reaction.

The guy's legs were shaking like he was about to piss himself and he had a strained smile on his face.

It was like looking at a terrified puppy, which made Yang lose her anger and made her feel guilty.

"Uuuuh, sorry I was just a bit angry. I didn't mean to scare you like that." She said.

"Really?"

She nodded.

"You're not gonna punch me?"

She nodded again.

"Hoh!" The boy released a heavy breath and his upper body collapsed, hands on his knees.

'Damn he was really terrified!'

Yang smiled nervously as she tried to figure out what to do in this situation.

"Uh, sooooo you're not gonna throw up on me anymore right?" She asked.

"I don't think so, I already emptied my stomach in the trash earlier." He said with a chuckle.

Yang chuckled as well offering a hand to him.

He took it, straightening himself up. Yang realized he was quite a bit taller than her. There was a five-inch difference between them.

Yang realized she was still holding on to his arm, and quickly let go with a sheepish expression. A tense silence grew between them as they tried to figure out what to say.

Yang finally spoke.

"Uh, well my name's Yang Xiao Long! I'm gonna be the coolest gal in Beacon! What about you?"

"Oh, we're doing introductions?"

The boy smiled confidently, a bit too confidently for a guy who looked like he was about to piss himself only seconds earlier.

With a flourish like something out of an anime he pointed at himself and said.

"Jaune Arc, short, sweet, rolls of the tongue, ladies love it."

"Hahahaha!" Yang burst into laughter. She couldn't handle how dorky the line was, especially said with that confident tone.

"Huh, what, why are you laughing?! It's a great line! I practice all night to say it perfectly!" Jaune shouted all of his bravado fading in embarrassment.

Yang finally managed to compose herself and said.

"Oh, Vomit Boy I think we're going to be great friends."

"Huh? Vomit Boy? That's mean! Like sure I vomited… wait friends?"

"Yep!"

She slung a hand over his shoulder with a big smile on her. Jaune stumbled a bit as Yang's strength caused his head to lower itself.

"I think we're going to be best friends!!!"

Jaune stared down at her with an awestruck expression before smiling and saying.

"I think we will too."

"Wow, look it's Beacon!"

Yang and Jaune swiveled toward the windows when they heard that. Outside they could see a cliff and a giant castle on it.

"Woooah." The two said at the same time in mesmerization.

"So that's Beacon, it's so coo-Urmph!"

The airship they were on suddenly took a big turn as they went to the landing pads.

And unfortunately, Jaune Arc's stomach wasn't as empty as he thought.

"Uh you aren't going to throw up again are you?" Yang asked, backing away from him as he covered his mouth with his hands.

"Aaaah, I don't want to get vomit on me again! Get away, get away!"

The gas coming out of the airship's thrusters turned a cool blue as it lowered onto the landing pad. After the legs of the ship touched the ground, the ship's thrusters cut off, and part of the ship opened up, a ramp slid down.

An orange blur shot out of the ship. Not bothering with the ramp and flying through the air, Yang hit the ground with a roll, managing to lose enough momentum to not damage the stone courtyard.

At the ship, Jaune stumbled onto the ramp with his right hand over his mouth and his left hand reaching for a nonexistent wall. He moved with an unsteady rhythm, not unlike her uncle when he came home after a long night at some bar.

Somehow he managed to not trip over himself coming down the ramp and collapsed on his knees, still covering his mouth.

"Heeeeeey, are you alright?"

Unlike the students who were giving him a wide berth, Yang approached him, though not without inconsiderable hesitation.

Though she took a step back when she heard a pitiful moan like a wounded dog.

"Wow, your motion sickness is really that bad, huh?"

Jaune lifted himself up from the ground, managing to hold back his vomit.

"Uh, you have no idea."

"Well, I don't think I want an idea. Vomit Boy."

Yang smiled cheekily at him.

"Motion sickness isn't as uncommon as you think, Vomit Shoe Girl." Jaune said in a sharp tone.

"I know, I had motion sickness when I was a kid-wait, did you just call me Vomit Shoe Girl?"

The two had started walking down the path to the school.

"You had vomit on your shoes, so Vomit Shoe Girl."

Yang whirled around and pointed her finger at Jaune walking backward.

"Hey, there was vomit on my shoes because you threw up on them! Vomit Boy! My shoes are still soggy because of you!" She yelled accusingly.

"Oh! Soggy shoes are the worst! They feel even worse than walking barefoot in the rain on streets! The only good thing about them is that it's easier to bite through the leather!"

"Wha-" Yang and Jaune stared at the person who had butted into their conversation.

"Oops, did I say too much?" The person covered their mouth with both their hands.
It was a girl with short ginger hair and teal eyes, a white shirt with a heart window with pieces of armor over it, and a bright pink skirt with a wide peppy smile. Standing a bit more than 6 feet away from them.

"Who're you?" Yang's words flew out of her mouth even before she managed to get over her shock.

Jaune was still computing the girl's statement.

"I'm Nora Valkyrie, huntsman-in-training and Breaker of all legs! I'm here to become a huntress!"

The girl yelled exuberantly while posing.

'Why is she posing like a schoolgirl?' The two thought in sync

"Please don't break my legs." Jaune spat out with a weak smile.

"Oh silly!" Nora suddenly appeared in front of his face.

The girl leaned in, their faces so close their noses nearly touched.

Nora's smile widened creepily as a sadistic light filled the girl's eyes.

"I won't break your legs unless you give me a reason too."

'Okay, this girl is cuckoo.'

Who threatens to break someone's legs when they first meet?

Yang got ready to grab Jaune and run until she saw his face.

It was a wistful smile as if he was reminiscing nice memories.

"Okay, Sir. Jaune Arc here won't do anything to make you angry, so no breaking his legs okay?"

"Uuuuuuuh."

"Hm? Oh."

Nora Valkyrie and Jaune Arc seemed to be frozen in time.

While he was speaking, he absentmindedly started to pat her head.

Even after realizing it, his hand still moved on its own. Brushing between the strands of ginger hair with a warm and comforting palm.

"Ah!"

Jaune pulled back his hand, the fingers still shook as if it still felt her scalp.

"I'm sorry! It's just you reminded me of my sister and I always patted her head so…"

The Nora girl's head was down, hiding her eyes from view and arms at her side.

'Oh he's dead.' Yang thought.

She felt a little pity, but she was more focused on escaping the blast zone. Literally, she could see the grenade launcher on her back.

"Are you alright?" The dumb guy who couldn't sense the atmosphere spoke casually, not realizing the probable danger to his life.

However…

"I-I-I-I'm alright, it's just that..headpats felt so good and I realized Renny never gave me headpats…" The girl muttered demurely with a pout.

'Why is she suddenly stuttering like a schoolgirl!' The two didn't hear the end of Nora's sentence due to how low she was speaking.

"SO! Your name's Jaune right?!" Nora suddenly shouted back to her loony self.

Jaune Arc wasn't perturbed, however.

"Yep! Jaune Arc, short, sweet, rolls off the tongue, ladies love it." He said in a faux suave tone.

"Hrrk. Do they?" Nora replied covering her mouth with one hand as she tried to hide her giggling.

Badly.

"Aaaah man, you too!?"

"Hahahahaha! Looks like you've rejected again Vomit Boy!" Yang laughed.

"I don't know why it keeps going wrong! Dad says all I need is confidence!" He yelled to the world.

So uh, is it good? Bad? I'll probably cut out the part with Nora.
