Gold Digger Fics

Just like the title suggests, I'm looking for some good Gold Digger Fics. I've seen the ones on FF.net and just wasn't thrilled with some of them, like they didn't know the characters of GD very well. So I'm hoping someone has seen something that looks presentable.

Don't care if it's crossed over or not just a good story with Gold Digger in it.

Well I've read C.Rose's Golden Opportunity and the sequal he's working on Gold Rush.

I've read the 12 stories in the gold digger comic section (more like read, cringed, gagged and proceeded to wash my brain out with bleach from 11 of the stories.)

From the Ranmafics.com site I've read the three stories done by RedPriest17, Philip Weigle, and matdeception. Papa 51's and SSJ guyver's story.

That's from the top of my head at the moment. Haven't found too many others, or I'm not looking in the right places.

My theories always been that all they know of the characters is from various Anime Addventures crossed with Ranma. And primarily those seem to be based around 'Ranma has sex with Brianna and we'll avoid giving the others flesh'.

Well I've read Grave's New Life and I think the Black Paw (I'll have to double check though.) But I agree with you on the character portrayals grant. I have the entire GD series and I keep up on it monthly from the comics. So out of the ones that I've read only 3 or 4 of them even portray the characters almost exactly how they would be. (Yes I think what you work on with Grave's New Life, Nanya, is a good representation of the characters.)

So any other places I haven't looked at that might have Gold Digger fics?

Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread, but are there any good gold digger fics that AREN'T crossed over with Ranma? That seems to be the only ones out there...

Having recently read the sum total of the Gold Digger ongoing I thought I'd bump this thread.

Given that it's been 5 years since this was last posted in, are there any new Gold Digger fics that people like? Ones you hate? Ones you just can't help but laugh at? And what do people think of the comic as a whole? Do you like it? Hate it? somewhere in between it? It was an interesting thing to read the whole series more or less in one go over a few days, and I'd like to know other people's opinions.

To serve the purpose of the thread though I will post an unfinished Ranma/Gold Digger crossover that I enjoyed by matdeception, considering it was written last year I think it's safe to say it isn't in the thread already :p

I love stuff by Matdeception. Especially the AA story Prejudice and Fear he was writing with Philip Weigel. Too bad the odds of Mat completing anything he writes are against and Philip Weigel is busy with other stuff (he's very close by, but currently obsessed with another fandom. Ok, not obsessed but more interested).

Out of the commons GD fanfiction authors, Nanya (aka Phillip Weigel) and Matdeception are pretty much the only ones who nail the characters properly in my opinion.

RedPriest is a good author, but all he does lately is recycle memes endlessly like some sort of broken records. It's gotten bad enough that I'm starting to skip over what he writes because I already can guess what is going to be written.

It's been awhile, I would have to re-read some of the issues to get a good feel for the characters again if I wrote more GD fics.

That being said, I should do that anyway. GD is still my favorite comic out there.

Granted it's a lemon, so, can't share directly.

I always liked that one, at least in part because it mucked with Granny Hina's plans.

There was two AA threads I liked, but both are relatively short and pure slapstick:

- RANMA-AA 'Restart Deluge! Mage Council' by The Demented Redhead

- RANMA-AA 'Restart Deluge ForRent' by Red Priest of the 17th Order (one of the crossovers centers on Gina Diggers)

Others exist that have mixed opinions on:

- RANMA-MULTI 'No Need for Nerima' by Lawra

- RANMA-MULTI 'Slade's Old Fics Archive' by Slade13 (see chapter 5 for the Gold Digger Cross)

That was pretty good. Pity it's unfinished and likely abandoned. I will admit though that the whole stand thing was a bit clunky though.
