I know a guy and got into an early review matinee screening of Deadpool today. Just got back.

Fuck yes. This movie was amazing. It does not disappoint and is officially my favorite comic book movie ever. Not even a little bit kidding.

Everything is spot on and it's a HARD R. This is not an R rated movie that is only sorta R so it's okay for some more mature kids. Do not bring youngins to this flick, even if you're usually okay with them seeing casual R rated stuff. This is as R rated as a movie can get. It's gory as fuck, has more bare ass than you'd think, full frontal male nudity, tits, and is liberal with the word fuck. It's a thing of beauty.

The Colossus vs Angel Dust fight is much better than the trailers suggest. One of the best scraps in the film. Negasonic Teenage Warhead is also pretty epic.

I haven't laughed this hard at a movie in years. It's funny as fuck, and completely crude.

There are two after credits scenes, stay for both.

Can't really say more than that because I had to sign some stuff. Still, this is the Deadpool movie we all want and deserve.

Going to see it again on Thurs evening cause I had already bought a ticket online when my buddy called me up and invited me.

Anyway, fuck yes. Deadpool is amazing. Best comic book adaption movie ever. Seriously, go see this. We need more comic book movies done like this one and the best way to help make that happen is to buy a ticket.

So... reading between the lines, the movie studio has kidnapped your family and is holding them hostage until you convince people to see this movie. I see... Hang on, I'm calling Liam Nelson to handle this!

Deadpool lives up to the hype, huh? Awesome. Got a little extra cash this month, will go see it when I can. BTW, how long is the flick?

It's less than two hours, but more than an hour and a half. About an hour fifty give or take a few minutes credits and all.

This is a hard R rated movie and pulls no punches. It's pretty much the most faithful film adaption of a Marvel character ever made. Ryan Reynolds is the new voice in my head when I read Deadpool comics from now on. It manages to be funny and has a surprising amount of feels in it, without beating you over the head with them or losing it's sense of humor. It manages it without losing it's pacing and moves along quickly.

I doubt it's going to win any Oscars or make billions of dollars as a mega blockbuster, but it's about as good an adaption of Deadpool in movie form as it could have possibly been. I'm very hopeful it greatly exceeds studio expectations so we get more like this in the future.

On a technical level, Dark Knight, Winter Soldier, GotG, and Avengers are all better movies. Deadpool is a better adaption of the character and tone of the source than any of those films though. It's up there with Sin City and Dredd for being faithful to the source and pulling it off on film as closely as it could be done. I also think it's the funniest comic book movie every put to film, as a comedy it outdoes anything Disney/Marvel has made so far. This is the best Marvel film so far as far as I'm concerned, but not everyone will think so. It at least stands up with the best of the Disney Marvel stuff, and it's better than any of the X-stuff from Fox.

Anyone worried about the movie can relax. This is far from another Wolverine Origins, R.I.P.D, or Green Lantern. Deadpool is the adaption of the character we wanted the first time around, but this time they didn't fuck it up. It was better than I expected and lives up to the hype.
