In a room of many trophies, broken weapons and hewn armor, a lone figure sat. A thick portfolio of papers rustled in his hands, reports and figures attached to seemingly random names and places. A chime echoed through the dim room. With an empty sigh the man, thin and almost abnormally short pushed his chair back, stood, and folded his papers under an elbow as he went to answer his door.

"My lord." A tall, cloaked figure at the door. It did not wait to be acknowledged. "A soul has been retrieved from our realm."

Necromancy. Frustrating. Not an uncommon practice, and certainly not noteworthy enough to require his direct intervention.

So it obviously wasn't just necromancy.

And it wasn't just about one soul.

He waved his hand, inviting the cloaked figure into his abode. It glided in, going past him and straight for his office. Its voice had betrayed nothing, but it was obviously agitated lest it would not be so discourteous.

He dropped his papers on the desk and turned his scarlet gaze on the cloak. One glove was raised, not a gloved hand but merely a glove, and handed over a folder.

A thick one. With a name he was familiar with.

"This isn't supposed to happen for a few more decades. Who was summoned?" He opened the folder and started flipping through pages and photos.

"Heracles, my lord." His hand stopped.

"Have any others been recalled yet?" Heracles? The demi-god? Someone had actually summoned him? Flipping a few more pages into the file he scanned the profiles. Semi-divine and retainer of some ruinous artifact made up almost half the numbers of those who'd been awoken in the past.

This was not good, no, extremely not good. Compounded was that one of the more dangerous souls apparently was not returned as of the conclusion of the last clusterfuck.

"When was he summoned?" The cloak removed a pocket watch, necessary as it had no wrist for a normal watch. The bronze and silver device opened with a minor click.

"Almost forty minutes ago. We believed this to be a rather high priority." A half-god being called into the mortal world of technology?

Yes, this was a rather high priority.

"I need to contact the boss! Now! This is-"

"There are standing orders detailed in the file, sir." Unlike many of its brethren, the cloaks voice was smooth instead of guttural. Perfect for cutting off a panic attack or pointless tirade.

Flipping through sheets of paper, mostly profiles of the long-deceased, a yellow sheet stood out.

Determine nature of anomaly.
Determine cause and effect of anomaly.
-If caused by humans
-A: Remove capability of repeated incident; preferable methods include extermination, geas or memory removal.
-B: Locate and exterminate those responsible for initial anomaly and remove individuals and organizations responsible for repeated incidents.
-C: Keep potential threats of resurgence under surveillance and/or exterminate them.
-D: Reclaim escapees. Termination advised.
-If caused by inhuman means, extermination is authorized.
-Restrictions do not apply. Full use of abilities and resources suggested.
-WARNING! Planet is semi-aware and potentially hostile.
-WARNING! Non-native entities present on planet. If encountered terminate with extreme prejudice.
-Files on serious potential threats are VA-1 and 2, and file MA-88353 and file WE-E-375.

Well, that was rather clear.

"Go get me the files from the order, and then send order for my personal guard to meet me at the gate."

"Would that be the Skulls, or the four winds?"

"Both, and tell them to gear up!"

"Of course, Lord Emizel."

/ A random idea I may eventually come back to, but it'd require a lot of research on my part into the Fate/ universe. I mean, tying in demons and finding a way to connect them to the disgaea brand of demon, lining up the magic systems (Fate/ has a relatively limited magic system, at least in terms of average scope whereas Disgaea is just roflstomp boom world go kablooey past a certain point). The idea was festering in my mind, but I can pretty clearly see why nobody else has done it yet.
