Bobby Hull, hockey player, 84

He was the first one to do 50 goals in an NHL season. He also helped to build the WHL, a competitor hockey league season that eventually merged back into the NHL, which did a lot for player salaries and benefits and expanding to some smaller (but more hockey-obsessed) markets.

bummer... got to say though, for myself, i liked the the StarBlazers and Queen Emereldas stories more than the Galaxy Express 999 and Harlock stories. Which based on what I know, is the opposite of most fans...

One thing everyone would agree on though, for the classics, his were among the best of the best.

Galaxy Express and Harlock are rather unique in that they've basically turned into enduring central themes, concepts, characters, and settings that a whole bunch of different people (and studios) keep re-interpreting, remaking, and/or "updating" into new shows. Which is actually quite rare to see. The only modern equivalent I can think of would be Ghost in the Shell.

Anyway.
