Bleach Hall of Anal Destruction: Bleach Edition

I don't remember if there was an official topic made for it in the Naruto section, but hoo boy, I felt the need to share some of the posts, and I really don't want to keep posting it in the Manga thoughts: some of this shit is a little too rich.

Like this one make me fall out laughing for five minutes straight, an IchiRuki shipper who hasn't seen the last chapter at the time.

Please be careful what you swear to God -- he does not play when you have to pay.

Too bad Kunbo isn't writing the series, then, eh?

This is when you know Shipping as gone too far. There has been many a person that has cite they would kill themselves if their ship wasn't made canon. Problem is, I'm not entirely certain they're not serious about this.

Wait, SJWs have hugboxes?

...

...okaaay...

...Bleach wasn't even featured on the cover of its last chapter. Someone did an analysis of Bleach in WSJ, and it's been placing last for a long-ass time. I'm pretty certain no one over there even remotely cares about Bleach anymore, and any toes Kubo would stomp on would be only the fans'.  And I'm also certain Tite has been made aware of this beforehand. Overall, just, wow. It's pretty tin hat to me.

And this isn't the first time I've seen it. Just how well do the characters fit in with our overseas cousins?

While we're on the subject of using guilt to get what you want, why not show a little leg as well? Break him off a piece. Give him a taste of what he's missing. Who knows, it might even work...

...but I doubt it.

I want this one to be a joke because, oh wow. I can't even begin.

Apparently, having Ichigo and Rukia on the same sticker counts as IchiRuki CONFIRMED. And there's a slew of posts like this:

ICHIGO

FACING

THE

RUKIA

I shit you not. This is some cult-level shit, and I'm honestly scared. I'm starting to think IchiRuki shippers are almost as scary as SasuNaru shippers, and they absolutely terrified the fuck out of me to the point I had to leave the entire Naruto board on Fanfiction.net.

And this grand masterpiece of stark-raving lunacy that lurks beneath the skin of zealots. I would make a joke about this, but I'm afraid of this person finding me and murdering me with a copy of Bleach and papercutting IchiRuki4Ever into every inch of my body.

Too late, Jones. This shit is too good to forget as anything but.

as the meme goes, you need to lurk more, the 2nd to last one is a famous copypasta, altered to fit the situation.  Half of those from /a/ are probably just trolls trolling trolls, with the hope of ensuring a hall of anal devestation 2.

I'd stick to the tumblr based ones, those have more authenticity.

Hall of Anal Destruction 2: Betrayed

And admittedly, some of the comments I read did seem a little self-aware of at least the Naruto HOAD. Though, really, why would you want to purposely make up posts of the anguish IchiRuki fans would be releasing in torrents when real people's reactions are so damn much funnier like this:

H-Man

Random phantom.

Compared to the frustration of people who believed Naru/Saku would happen because at least, Naruto was interested in her to start with, how bad are the Ichigo/Rukia shippers supposed to take it?

I can't speak for the rationality of 4chan posters, but faking over the top reactions seems like something some 4chan posters would do.  On 4chan, poe's law is very much in effect. So it's hard for anyone picking through those, trying to find which are real and which are some guy trying to be witty or hip or whatnot by pretending to be stupid.   But that copypasta one is definitely fake.

Some are quite amusing though.

Poe's Law? Wat dat?

Honestly, I would respect Kubo more if he decided to pull the end pairings just to fuck with the fans, after seeing the BS that erupted because of the ending of Naruto.

From what I found, Tite already had to deal with people disrespecting his characters, particularly Orihime, about six years ago on Twitter.

To Orihime fans and readers who nonchalantly enjoy BLEACH that unfortunately saw the abusive language when I retweeted it: I apologize. However, there is zero possibility that I’ll change the way I draw to suit others, so please don’t worry about it.
Which might have been a huge red flag in retrospect about who Tite favored, but some folks didn't pay attention (or worse, they did, and it hit a PANIC button inside of them).

Eh, I doubt bleach can reach the anal destruction levels of naru/saku shippers. There's too much apathy involved in Bleach's current state in comparison to Naruto.

Which is probably a good thing. The amount of anal destruction for Naru.Saku was ridiculous.

Poe's law is an Internet adage which states that, without a clear indicator of the author's intent, parodies of extreme views will be mistaken by some readers or viewers as sincere expressions of the parodied views

I see. Thanks for clearing that up.

Reading some of the blogposts and whatnot I culled from the Die For Our Ship entry...

BLEACH DESERVED BETTER 2KFOREVER

IchiRuki shipper dissecting 686 (through shipping goggles, natch), and makes some good points. But still damn salty and accusatory of some conspiracy Tite Kubo cooked up to spite IR fans.

CHEATING!Ichigo and Rukia

Because cheating's okay, if it's your OTP.

World's Saltiest Rukia Cosplayer

Some want to watch the world burn; she'll just settle for a small piece of it to die in a fire.

Meanwhile, saner heads prevail. In a response to the post alleging Tite told a friend of a friend he'd put in more IchiRuki romance to the series, this blogger dissects the validity of such a claim, as well as the general makeup of the IchiRuki community. Another post addresses the depths of denial IR shippers would go to disprove any and all "nonexistent" IH evidence. Sure, it's kind of gloating, but, again, some valid points have to be acknowledged.

I can't quite remember, but did Isshin declare any of the other girls as his honorary daughter aside from Rukia? If he didn't I find that quite a subtle tease from Kubo on that front, as a clear sign of them not ending up together together.

Rukia and Ichigo always seemed more like siblings in the way they behaved, there was a pointed lack of romantic behaviour between both of them.

Not to mention the whole living and dead person getting together is illegal and Isshin is lucky nobody is calling him in on it.

On the other hand, the NaruSaku shippers were too superficial about Sakura. I remember how I used to think on her development before the time skip and how it changed her perception and behaviour towards Naruto, she does love Naruto, but more like a close family member that she tends to wreck if he does something offensive, but at the same time she is ready to sacrifice herself for him, but the most important thing about her was that she was very, very pissed off and wanted to wreck Sasuke until she beat the stupid out of him, and a kid or few.

It's kinda fun, the more I think on Naruto characters, I see further depths to their characters and behaviours, while Bleach is more action shounen oriented, Naruto is more like a action drama shounen, considering how much it delved into human behaviours due to their enviroments and how far they would go to fix injustices, both experienced and perceived, and at what points would they stop and look at what they've done.

He didn't far as I remember. And, of coourse, Isshin knew way more than he revealed in the beginning, so....

This. I was pretty confused when people were shipping Ichigo and Rukia because I honestly couldn't find anything to warrant the presumption past "They make a cute couple" angle. There's more shiptease between Tatsuki and Orihime than them, so I never quite got IR shippers talking about their "proof."

To be fair, I don't think the Shippers were entirely wrong about her; she certainly had a lot of things that made her appear more and more like a possible love interest for Naruto -- besides, the story itself is practically built to make possible for Sakura to grow beyond her childhood affection for Sasuke and develop a deeper, more intimate relationship with someone much closer and real. The problem, though, is, ironically, the guy in question, has left such a deep and lasting effect on them that it becomes next to impossible to play any romance without resolving the issue there. NaruSaku fans were only too happy to consider Sasuke a "lost" issue, even pointing out his multiple refusals as proof he doesn't give a damn about Sakura anymore, and that she needs to move on with her life (and make some babies with Naruto).

I'd imagine that if this were a Western series, that's exactly how the series would have progressed. Bu~~~t it's not. And this is where NaruSaku shippers divide against the narrative of Naruto.

Basically. There are a number of "moments" NaruSaku fans will point to as what defines their romantic interactions, but at the same time, nearly all of those interactions are ambiguous at best. I personally only count, at most, two moments that could be strongly considered romantic -- the obvious one is after the battle on Tenchi Bridge when Sakura's having a tough time healing Naruto and laments her inability to do anything for Naruto other than "little things." The other one, in my mind, is where Sakura is trying to save Hinata while realizing that the girl was in love with Naruto. Like I said, it's two at best, and this one only works if you consider jealousy as an indicator of feelings for another.

Well, Masashi Kishimoto was inspired by movies like Pulp Fiction and worked to script his series more like cinema stories. It's just as important to understand a villain and his motive as it is to stop the action that promises disaster for all. Tite Kubo just likes to draw cool shit. And boobs.
