When I say the Naruto cosplay picture and got to Ron's talk blurb I LOLd, and instantly thought, "no you aren't!"

While the fan wars persist over the last two books, and numerous pairings and characters, I think it's safe to say that no one in the HP fandom has excessive animosity towards Luna Lovegood. She's quirky, odd, but wise and surprisingly deep. She adds levity in the right places, weirdness in others, and is dependable in battle to a fault. She's sweet, lonely and not paid enough attention in canon.

With that in mind, I open the floor up to good Luna Lovegood pictures. First round, go!

Luna staring into space with homework behind her, and the real news in front of her.

Luna enjoying music, Muggle style. Very nice top.

Luna in anime style just works so perfectly where for other characters it might be seen as vulgar. I love the hat especially, heh.

"Hm? Oh, don't you know that Snorkacks are attracted by bright orange clothing?"

Harry gulped a bit.

"That's not all they attract..."

Chibi-Luna! It's just so cute!

"Hey Harry, Luna's staring at you with those funny glasses of hers..."

"Why?"

Hermione frowned.

"Well, she told me that they were X-Ray spectacles she got from a Muggle magazine... I told her they don't really work..."

Luna blushed and giggled. Harry coughed and blushed right back.

He was getting the feeling that maybe those glasses worked as advertised. Whether that was a good or bad thing, he had no idea...

Luna + Orange Stockings = HAWT

Somehow, Luna preferring thongs is not as big a surprise as it could be...

I'd prefer Luna in a sexy bunny girl outfit, but this is cute too.

Oooo, nice pictures. And yup, Luna is underappreciated. I am a bit more partial to the anime style ones myself...

Too bad most of the following are group drawings. Hmm, apparently she is defined by her Quibbler... Bleh, I should resize them but that seems to require more effort...

minstrelbook.net/hpbook/diagongroup.jpg is one of the nicer ones, but it is too large to post... Eh, there was a nice one of her with her Gryffindor hat but I can't find it...

Nice finds to you as well! Here's some more!

Despite his descent into an asshat, I still like Harry/Luna as a pairing. Nice, quiet scenes like this are very fitting and might have granted Harry some peace.

I liked this scene in DH. One of the few I did...

Neville/Luna is also a pairing I'm fond of, especially after Book 7.

"Hullo Harry, I was introducing Hermione here to proper grooming habits against Nargles. A good, healthy orgasm always chases them off. Care to assist?"

No caption required... Aside from, perhaps, "Lovegood, Boobs Gooder." ^__^

Luna would make a great Alice. I love how put-out Ginny looks. Hermione, well... So what if her True Love is a Beast, he's got a library the size of Houston!

There was this one story with a great scene of Harry and Luna going for a sort of hover-ride in an umbrella on a rainy day. It was of course, Luna's idea. I can't remember the name of the story now, but it was a great scene.

The Girl who played her in OotP is also one of the few casting choices I've been really happy with, too.

I loved that story! ^_^

Now, it's Neville Longbottom's turn! From timid little boy to kickass resistance fighter, he's the hero Harry just couldn't be in Book 7. And while Book 7 was, for the most part, utter crap, Neville's scenes brought a genuine smile to my face. He's the hard worker, the man who steps up and the go-to guy when you need someone to inspire hope once more.

So here's to Neville Longbottom.

Not his actual Patronus, but damn it would suit him.

Go Neville!

I love that line. "Dumbledore's Army, bitch!"

The only thing more awesome than Neville, is Neville and Luna together.

Neville's worst memory. Poor kid. Note the gum wrapper in the corner.

HELL YEAH NEVILLE!

"Dangerous? Me?"

Proving once again that gardeners can kick ass with the best of them.

"Uh, L-Luna? Wh-What are you d-doing?"

"Checking for Muffsnoggers. I'll need to get a bit closer..."

Neville as Samuel L. Jackson? Does this make him the Wizard Samurai?

:ph43r:

This was such a sad scene in OotP. I got the impression that Neville hung onto every gum wrapper his mother gave him, from every holiday. From the forge of tragedy come the worst villains and the greatest heroes.

If I read the last one and had not just skimmed the whole sixth book, I could definitely say I completely agree with the Luna one. Bleh, Rowling has problems recognizing creative characters...

Heh, the last one's unique style definitely helps it. I have seen it before, but it is hilarious.

Luna lovegood would be a perfect match for naruto both lould, hyperactive, like orange, and hide behind a mask metiforically

First of all, it is spelled "metaphorically."

Second, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT repost a large post like that in a quote ever again. It wastes space and loading time, and is a general annoyance.

Please.

And no, Luna would NOT be a good match for Naruto. Luna is oddly unique but still smart, even if it comes out in bizzare ways. 90% of the time Naruto borders on retarded, and the rest its like watching an infant run through traffic and miraculously not get killed.

Eh, the only way I could see any relationship working between the two would be brother/sister: a young Naruto runs into Luna (who is older than he is), who proceeds to tell him all about the creatures she sees. Naruto, being a sucker for attention, fully believes her, and becomes her adopted little brother.

But that's it, and even that would be a stretch of epic proportions.
