This Is the Run
By: Joak Drysso
Ruby Rose discovered the boundaries of her new world early on. Then, she learned how to break them. Imagine how this looked to everyone else. [Set mid-season 1, twist on Gamer-style nonsense. Updated Saturdays.]
Rated: Fiction T - English - Humor - Ruby R., Weiss S., Blake B., Yang X.L. - Chapters: 6 - Words: 10,557 - Reviews: 43 - Favs: 255 - Follows: 239 - Updated: Mar 25, 2017 - Published: Feb 18, 2017 - Status: Complete - id: 12372074

tl;dr: Ruby's semblance is speedrunning. Complete with wrong warping, integer overflows, and bottle duplication!

Let's not pretend Remus was brave. Remus was a giant fucking coward.

Also, let's be honest- if Harry's kid was named for the bravest person he knew, the kid's name would probably be either Lily, James, or Harry.

I suppose it depends on what you mean by 'brave' and 'coward.' Remus had no problem with physical danger, it seems (tthough I suspect that has more to do with not valuing his own life that much), but does not seem to have had much courage for social and emotional situations (which may also have been a product of his lack of self-esteem).

Well, he did name one of his kids after his father and another after his mother... and I'm not going to try to justify naming one of them after Snape, beyond saying that the wizarding world has no thereapists, and Harry is likely nuts from PTSD.

Another way to look at it is that Harry is starting his 'Dumbledore phase' early.

That is, he's becoming an eccentric, crazy motherfucker that everyone respects too much to call out on his cloud cookoolander bullshit.

It's worth noting that this would have been a very different scene had Alan Rickman not *completely* changed Snape's personality.

IIRC, that wasn't exactly intentional on his part, but it was a side effect of his playing the character.

Rickman was the only person that knew where Rowling was going with Snape's character other than Rowling, and to be honest, I feel like that was a mistake.
