Hello I'm having a problem with World of Warcraft.

Yesterday I wanted to play some WoW. At the 'News window' that comes up, it indicates patch 3.3 is being downloaded. So I sit back for while to let it do what needs to be done. The patch finishes I browse thru the notes to see what has been changed. I try to log in, it fails, checking the Blizzard website I come to find out they are having a problem with the WoW/Battlenet accounts. They say the problem will be addressed. An hour or so later I check the site again, it says the problem has been fixed. I don't even make it to the login screen, cause it won't run. Using the repair tool fucked it up worse. So now I must go thru the agony of Reinstalling WoW, joy.

The reason I've posted this is to ask: Will Uninstalling and Installation affect my account?

Thank you for your time.

No. Your account is not bound to the system you play on. You could go to your friend's house and access your game from their computer, you could go to a gaming shop where you can buy time on their computers and play from there.

I would first try asking on the Blizzard support forum.

If you don't feel like waiting, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling first, but I'd only suggest this if you have a good connection, though if you have a lot of Addons, I'd suggest moving those folders first, even if they might not work.

On the day after a patch, things ALWAYS get glitchy, because unexpected bugs and the like pop up and tiny patches are sometimes tossed out to fix those.
