Nasuverse Here's a random F/SN idea...

Okay, the basic premise is actually an AU. Specifically, an AU where Gilgamesh won the Grail War, and expressed the wish that he be reborn as a human so that he could make his name truly immortal, so much so that its fame will last until the end of times.

The catch: he didn't specify enough. He is reborn as a human, all right... in a world creted entirely by the Grail for the occasion, complete with its own 'rules' of reality.

The idea? Simple.

Take any one action series' world, and make it the world the Grail created. And make Gilgamesh be one of the the main characters, reincarnated.

As time goes on, it turns out that the Grail took... liberties... with the wish, and also had several Servants be reincarnated as well, in the same world. And when the memories start flowing back... oh boy. That's when things might get... fun.

One such setup could be the Ranma worls, with Ranma being Gil, Ryoga being Berserker, Kuno being Koujiro!Assassin, Kodachi being Caster (she certainly is shifty enough), Shampoo being Saber (the swords, the swords!), and so on...

Another could be Naruto. Sasuke as Avenger is a no brainer, as is Naruto as Berserker. Then we have Kiba as Rider, Anko as True!Assassin and so on.

And Gilgamesh, you ask?

Think about it. Who in Naruto throws countless weapons around?

That's right. Gil was reincarnated as Tenten. Queen of Heroes, heh. Sounds... fun.

Ha! I loved the Naruto idea! The Gilgamesh grail wish was awesome, as well. Hmm...xDDD I just had the idea of it being the Negima world. Gilgamesh as Negi, Asuna as Berserker, Evangeline as Caster, Kotaro as Avenger or Lancer, Mana as Archer...WIN.

Of course, that'd be silly. But Gilgamesh as a ten-year old amuses me as well. =P

re: the Naruto idea.

"Have you enough blades, Queen of Heroes?"
"Shuriken Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"
"...well, fuck."

The Grail (after the third war) can't grant wishes, at least not ones that don't involve destruction (think things that go boom). So unless you turned it into an AU where the taint never touched the grail, or Gilgamesh was in the first or second war... it doesn't work. :/

Also, I object to Avenger=Sasuke. Avenger is actually cool, Sasuke is a gay ass.
Well, yes, it'd be an AU. The mere fact Gilgamesh does win makes it an AU. So removing the taint is also feasible.

That said, what are your thoughts?

Well, who would Sasuke be, then? He is a foe, and a main character. It is likely he'd be something. I know! The newest servant! The Angst.

That sounds more like a Metal Gear villain...

...

Metal Gear Naruto. Follow the adventures of Solid Ramen as he defeats his enemies, including The Angst, The Cheese and The Pedo!

...

Okay, back on topic. Any serious thoughts?

Actually, wasn't the taint on the Grail the kind that turned the "anything you want, however you want it" wish-granting into Monkey's Paw wishes?

That'd explain why Gil's wish backfired so spectacularly. :snigger:

On a very base level, the idea is fine. So long as you ignore certain things (which I find surprising that you would do, considering how anal you can get about details).
Indeed, I'm uneasy about ignoring those details, but I admit that the idea is oh so very tempting. If nothing esle to see an Awakened!Tenten acting like Gilgamesh.

Keep in mind that the idea would have the characters eventually regain their memories and start acting like an odd mix of the two. So Tenten would normally still be reserved and determined, but when she really gets into a battle, the King of Heroes type attitude pops up. :p

You could look at it that way... except not really. The exact words Fuyuki used were "contamination by Angra Mainyu will result in any wish being made tainted with destruction and death; the grail twists the wish in other words."

So basically, unless Gil's wish also DESTROYED the world in the process (something I don't believe possible, since it would also be overwriting conceptual beings of at least equal power to the grail), it wouldn't work out like that.
What if Gil's wish destroyed A world? As long as death and destruction are ensured, it doesn't matter if a minor world or plane of existence which the Grail can influence somewhere is wiped out to make space for the new one.

As long as death and destruction are involved, it's doable? This may seem silly, but the original idea had PLENTY of death and destruction.

1: Changing the world to a ninja world, which is RIDDLED with death, is a roundabout but sure way to bring about mass destruction and...death.

2: Bringing the other servants along almost guarantees more fighting, and berserker with a demon in his stomach? GG.

3: The most death and destruction of them all! Gil's pride when he learns he is now a girl.

Hell, if you want to make Assuke angst more, you can say the Naruto world existed parallel to the FSN-verse, and to make the wish it made Itachi kill the Uchiha clan (or just the great shinobi war as fuel.)

Well, I don't claim to be an expert on FSN (only seen the anime, never was able to get my hands on the game) just looking for loopholes. Anyways, the grail twists things into death by using loopholes in the wish itself. What if, foreseeing this, Gilgamesh made the wish to be what he THOUGHT was airtight, maybe tagging on a "No explosions, fires, or any immediate cause for destruction" clause or something like that, so that the only way to cause death IS passively in the way I claimed.

Again, I doubt that would work, I'm not the expert. ^_^

EDITTED

Or just go with what f1 said. That would be the easiest thing to do.

'Minor'? UMM... With few (if any) exceptions, there's always going to be some sort of conceptual beings anywhere in existence. That a world/plane of existence without anything to prevent an 'overwrite' just happens to get picked... <<;;

Impossible? No. But... the idea seems completely retarded to me. *shrug*
You assume the Grail would randomly pick a world. The way I see it, the Grail is at least partially sentient, and would KNOW which worlds it can and cannot outright nuke.

Just saying.

But yeah, the untainted idea is the better one.

Isn't the Grail influenced somewhat by Justicia von Einzbern's personality/whatever? Does that have an effect?

Y'know, it's just so hard to argue with people who know more about a subject than I, so I must bow out gracefully. Doesn't mean I don't hate losing.

I do like the idea though, GH. Feasible or not, there's a loophole in everything, it just takes a while to find it. I'll send my lawyers up to help. First I need to get lawyers.

The idea isn't impossible by any means, it's just hard to work through the regular means of the universe. Since by canon placement, things like a straight-up (or somthing like that) wish from the Grail are impossible (thus, you need to remove canon elements like the taint to have an easier time of it).

And yes, I know that feeling. :p I've talked with GH many times and simply had to respond with "Uh... I know nothing. No comment!"
Haha, for some reason I can imagine you saying something like that to win an argument.

GH: No, you are wrong because of (technical talk here, need a lawyer to translate)

F1: Well, this is fanfiction. I can change what I want. Watch! ::change::

GH: ::drops to knees:: Nooooooooooooooooooo.

That doesn't work with GH; believe me. At least not so much in the sense if you can still feel shame after.
I went through public school. No shame left in me!

On an unrelated note, I started watching Zero no Tsukaima as per your recommendation, and by episode six I must say I like it. Thanks!

You know, this idea of Tenten being Gil reincarnated would make the fight with Temari amusing, to say the least.

Temari: "So, run out of blades yet, little Leaf?"

Tenten: *Gate of Babylon* "...not quite."

*lots of weapons start materializing near Tenten - most of them way too big for Temari's winds to deflect*

Temari: "...uh... I've got to be somewhere!" *begins to run*

Kankuro: "...I don't know whether to feel sorry for her or laugh while she's being punked out."
